We're getting married in a different town, so we had to give notice in the town we live in and then give the authority certificate to the register office we're actually marrying in.

Mild panic in a funny kind of way today . . . i thought i'd damaged my beautiful engagement ring :eek: my heart actually jumped as it was all cloudy and white, not the the big sparkly diamond it should be. I had a bagel with philli cheese on for lunch, i had got philli on it!! :rotfl:

Weddingy things to do today:

Print off and post contract to videographer along with £100 deposit cheque
Print additional colour pics for my big DIY project
Contact Emirates to say that our booking is for a honeymoon flight so that they will give us free champagne and cake (heard this from a girl at work, yippee!)
Get out my bag of craft materials and pick out stuff to do DIY bits with (why oh why have I left this so late!!!)
Ask OH to soak the labels off my accumulated jam jars!

We're the 21st, so not early, but our 'honeymoon' isn't until September so I'll be around for all of the weddings!! :j

Thank you! I do like them, they're nice. They're 'wedding shoes' - and I wouldn't pick ANY of the 'wedding shoes' that I've looked at for anything other than a wedding.. but for this purpose I do like them! It's just a little odd with the peep toe bit as my toes don't actually 'peep' out. I can't see anyone noticing, and I have a long dress anyway, so it doesn't matter, it just bugs me a little bit!

While I wouldn't see a problem with two makeup trials in one day, I'd think hard about two hair trials in one day. Depending on the style you're going for, would it be a fair trial if it's already done? If you were say going to need it curled and put up etc then if it's already been done once that day, and then taken out, it's not giving a great starting point for the second trial (and they always say to have washed the day before so it's not like they could wash and dry it to start fresh).



I give notice tomorrow :j :j I'm really excited after the disaster a few weeks ago!

I'm having my hair washed and blow dried by the hairdresser on the morning of my wedding before she puts it up. It just looks better when it's freshly blow dried - more volume etc. And she can use plenty of hairspray to keep it in place!

Oh, you should recommend those shoes to the bride who's looking for shoes without a peeptoe as she hates her toes! They could be perfect for her

I'm another who is washing her hair on the day of the wedding. My curls are so much scruffier if I've slept on them and there really is nothing you can do for them other than wash them and 'set' them again
