I already have the tan lines - bright pink v on my back from yesterday lunchtime - off to sit in the sun with cream on the pink bits only, and hope it evens out! :rotfl:

Rachel - have a lovely man free weekend! I have booked my venue visit for 8th June. Finalising all the details. . . . getting very excited now!
    .

Thanks! Eek it's all starting to build up now! 8th of June is not time at all!

I have had one spray tan before. It was a bit dark for me, but it still looked pretty good but I can't remember what kind it was. It is a little bit embarrassing standing in paper pants with your boobies out in front of a stranger...:rotfl:But ho hum, it's just what you have to do in the quest for bridal beauty!

Defo wear loose clothes and shoes that won't rub bits off your feet. And this sounds mingin, but don't wash your hands for a wee while afterwards because I did and ended up splashing a bit of water onto my wrists by accident and that was enough to take patches of the tan off so I ended up having to patch these bits up with my boots fake tan mousse. Good luck with it - I'm sure it will turn out fab! :)

Wanchai - i have pm'd you my fb details. Mmmm real food must be nice, haha. Its the sticking to fruit only for snacks that gets me every time. Its costs a fortune doesn't it? It is unfair that is it cheaper to eat unhealthy high fat foods.

    So unfair lol!

Yes, it is nice to be able to eat a proper breakfast and lunch, though I do get hungry more quickly! :o

I've now joined the group, took a while to find you lol! Here's to me wasting even more time than before ha ha ha!!!!

Well done on your gym efforts wanchai - 7am is probably the best time to exercise when it's this hot!

My Mum is waiting for the start of June to see if the M&S cakes go on 3 for 2. if not, I guess she'll order them anyway - i'll pass on your code though - thanks wanchai!:T

The veil looks like you couldn't wear a hairslide with it - weren't you after a statement hairslide on one side? It's impressive your OH is noticing your weight loss - you've done really well :T
I did my weekly weigh-in and measure today (it's normally on a Friday, but I was impatient to see if I'd put on weight from not exercising all week). Turns out I've lost 2lb of fat -yay! No drastic cm loss, but I guess my lurgy burnt off a bit of spare tyre. Hope it doesn't pile back on by next week - that makes 5lb lost since January - 2lb of which is in the last week. I'm down to 10st 6, which puts my BMI firmly at 25.0 - not technically overweight any more - yay! More incentive to keep away from the double choc caramel magnums this weekend :D.

Mel - I agree with wanchai - rest up that knee of yours. Remember you look fab now you've shed loads of weight - don't spoil it by having to hobble down the aisle because you're too keen to get back to the gym!

I had my first pre-wedding facial today - it was lovely. Lots of gadgetry I've never had used on me before! One more next month, then one the day before the wedding. The beautician said my skin was looking much better afterward- I'll reserve judgment for a while I think!

My spray tan tomorrow is called unreal tan. i'm just having one spray all over. I've never had one before either, FutureCooper. I've just been told to exfoliate the night before (I have terribly dry skin on my legs because I had them lasered a few years ago, and I never remember to exfoliate and moisturise...). You can shave 24hrs before and wax 48 hrs before, but wear nothing on the day - no makeup, deodorant, moisturiser, nothing. I'm guessing you literally take everything off and wear those paper pants? Hopefully not too embarrassing! Too much information?? :rotfl:

Thanks :) It does help that the weather is good, I don't mind getting up at the crack of dawn in summer!

No probs, I'll alert you all IMMEDIATELY if I see the cakes going on 3for2! :D

I was going to hire a Jenny Packham headpiece for the evening after I take my veil off. :) I don't mind not wearing a headpiece with the veil. It's just soooo lovely!!!!

YAY and WHOOP for your 2lb loss and new lower BMI, that's fab!!! :T

Oooh, facials are fab, must book one soon as I have a Groupon voucher to use up. :A

I've never had a spray tan either, am really hoping to get a natural tan just this once - it'll take a while as I am so pale, but the last few days I've managed to get a tiny bit of colour! I might still need a fake tan though if it's not enough. Going to try out the Fake Bake Fair this weekend, hope it works!!!

I'm not allowed to get tanned as I'm in the middle of a course of IPL (permanent hair removal) on my upper lip, and any extra melanin in the skin can cause the IPL light to burn you!
I say we take off and nuke the entire site from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.

Thank you. When i booked they didn't give me any of this information! No make up or deodorant will be hard as i am going for my first dress fitting beforehand. I guess i can just take a wipe with me and remove make up and deoderant afterwards before i shoot off to the salon. They did say wear really loose clothing so they don't rub off the colour before it sets. I am really looking forward and hope it works as i am really worried about getting tan lines before July!

Just reread this! Don't use wipes, the chemicals in them will affect the fake tan! Just have a shower before the fitting, no makeup or deo (don't want it getting on the dress anyway!) and you will be fine :)

Wow, amazing efforts on the weightloss ladies :j and wanchai - 7am gym?? Impressive!

You've reminded me we still need to sort out OHs ring. It's probably one of the most important things left to do and I haven't got it on my list!

My mum's full birth certificate arrived today so I'm all set to give notice next wednesday. It will feel really real then!

I've never had a facial before, but they sound nice. How do you find somewhere good to go? Are they expensive?

smithkinson - they're really making you jump through hoops at the registry office aren't they? We didn't need any birth certificates to register ours.

I just had my facial at my local salon where I normally get anything done. They tend to cost £40-£50 for an hour. I think it's partly just massaging your face for an hour, as well as the actual stuff they use, that makes your skin look good. Maybe the MSE alternative is persuade your OH to do it for you!

I would try getting some sachets from Boots or the like and doing your own facial. You can self massage the face and neck and saves a fortune. Most of the big branded names do travel size bottles of treatments to try.

    Hi ladies,

I really want to get my new passport!!! How long did it take for those of you that got new ones in your married name? I am so impatient! :rotfl:

It's nice to see all your faces on the fb group! :)

Mine took 3 weeks, I guess this is their busiest time.

Its good to put faces to names.

Ive been avoiding the sun so far this week as Im so paranoid im going to get dodgy tan marks!

Well Ive seen some shoes Im tempted to get my sister, I just need to decide if its too soon!
