Hi Bellrooster
Flipping heck that's a hell of a birthday present lol! Typical man leaving it till the last minute haha! Are you keeping it quite simple or do you have a lot to do?
Babyboots, sorry for being slow but I have PM'd you.
Can't believe the weather today, it's so hot! I've got body combat in a bit, they'd better have turned the air con on
I've printed off one of my order of services today, I just need to tweak the colours slightly and then that'll be done. Then I can adjust the shape to fit the tags for the favours. I've also got hold of a paper box to make a post box, just need to buy some ivory wrapping paper and some ribbon now. A silly little detail, but I can't decide whether to wrap the lid and the box separate and then just tie it round with ribbon, or wrap the whole thing like a present so it can't be opened until we rip it apart lol. It'll still have ribbon, just more the method of access haha!
xxThs signature is out of date because I'm too lazy to update it...0 -
Hello all,
Well I got up at lunchtime today, so there's some improvement! I think of got rid of my nasty cough (fingers crossed) - OH had to head of to the spare room after bringing my cough mixture at 3.45am! Bless him, he's working late tonight as well, so I'm going to get dinner ready for when he gets back.
Welcome Bellrooster - I trust your OH is going to muck in with the planning at such short notice! That's almost 'Don't tell the Bride' fast! Congratulations!!
Tonight's wedding related activity is digging out photos for my bridesmaid present0 -
Mel- I personally think wrap tha box and lid seperately. I think because the lid is slightly wider it would look better as it may look a bit a lumpy (if you get what I mean) otherwise.
Well I feel like Im on a roll now so paid the balance of the car today.:D
Oh got distracted by sorting out his stag do last night so we didnt sort out gifts- I did tell him though I dont think best man is earning his gift at the mo!!:rotfl:
I also sent out an email to work people about my work hen do, am hoping lots of people will come!
Welcome Bellrooster. Your getting married the same day as me!:D Your in the right place if you need help, advice or just general wedding chat!0 -
Yes, I agree with PinkPrincess - wrap them separately Silaqui! It will be easier to wrap, and someone may give you something too big for the slot!0
-
Mel- and if you wrap them seperately you could then use it after as a keep sake box. Im going to use my pox box to keep all my special wedding bits altogether.0
-
I have got a stonking headache - I really am not doing well with all this pressure!! One of my colleagues was nice at me at lunch and I welled up - no idea where that came from!! Argh!!
Welcome Bellrooster - I have added you to the 'updated' list version 2.
Well I have had all my RSVPs back, now just waiting on MrDs. :T
Our next proper wedding related thing to do is to send off the ceremony plan a week tomorrow. Need to hear back from MrD's sister as which reading she would like to do.
Well I have painted our wooden letters - they are amazing - love love love them. I plan on taking a 'proper' photo this weekend of them so you'll have to watch this space. I measured them the other day - they are 15cm tall, and about 2-3cm deep.
Right MrD has promised us a take away - I know I know - !!!! food for wedding plans but will fit my mood perfectly0 -
Aw, poor you MrsDrink! Have lots of water to drink with your takeaway - you're probably a bit dehydrated in this heat.
Yay for getting your RSVPs back :j- we're still waiting on a fair few, so hoping for lots of replies this week.0 -
OOhh Natalie i do feel for you. No fun trying so hard for your own job. Eat the takeaway guilt free you deserve it.
Mel - i would wrap the items separately too. I very nearly used a paper reem box but i found a cream silk look box in M&S for a fiver so i treated myself. I am going to use it after as a keepsake kinda thing.
I have finally got around to creating an event on facebook for the wedding. I have had a few 'accept invitation' back that hadn't let me know either way before today so that's a bonus!
Babyboots i have sent you a friend request too.0 -

:rotfl: I did get an invite Mel, but unfortunately think I may be a bit busy and nervous and its a bit too far away!!
Your box sounds fab and a bargain!:money:0 -
Morning all!!!
Well, I had a fit of conscience and went to the gym after work yesterday, I did an hour and a half and was sooo sweaty by the end of it! Weighed myself today - am 9st13lbs but definitely looking more toned, so am not worrying about it. I'm off to the personal trainer again tomorrow morning woo hoo!!!
This evening, I will go out for a long walk - get exercise and a bit of UV at the same time ha ha! Must remember to wear a strapless dress so that I don't get tan lines! It's v. weird being out in the sun and not desperately seeking shade like I usually do lol.
Wedding stuff done so far today - went to the docs to check whether all my jabs are up to date. Just need a typhoid vaccination, but also malaria tablets which will cost £100!!!Bah.
Oooh, I'm also doing a photo for my BM as a gift BabyBoots - there's a beautiful one of the two of us on hols a few years ago which I am going to print and frame for her
Mel - I would wrap the lid and box separately too
Natalie - sorry to hear that you had a headache, hope it's gone now. I guess the emotion of it all can get to us sometimes xxxx7 Feb 2012: 10st7lbs14 Feb: 10st4.5lbs
