now to catch up...PinkPrincess83 wrote: »For those having a table plan: Are you making your own? Im undecided whether to make my own (which could involve another fall out with the printer that hates me!! :rotfl:) or pay out for one or whether to go for the middle option which is someone does the actual printing part and then I can then stick it on card and decorate with my butterflies!
We aren't having a table plan, but I made one for OHs sister a few years ago and printed the tables out then cut them into circles and layered them on a big piece of card. I did all of her table bits too so it all matched. They were really easy, I just ordered the card bits and the pre-folded place cards etc and then printed all the other bits on paper and cut them out and stuck them on. I had a paper trimmer to cut them which I'd recommend as it made straight lines way easier! For the flowers, I bought some fancy coloured vellum paper and just used a couple of those shape hole punches to make loads of flowers and stuck them on. The round thing is a candle holder again made from the vellum paper that I printed straight on to. It cost about £50 all together including buying the hole punches and paper trimmer and didn't take as long as you'd think.

and hereSKS - i know we got to remember DDs changing bag as well. (hope you dont mind me ask, how long are planning on breastfeeding for?) Then we got to remember all her bits for staying the night!
I'm planning to feed her until she self weans, so probably for quite some time yet. I don't mind it though. Certainly means there's less to remember! Luckily she doesn't feed too much in the day now so I won't have to take too many breaks from the wedding (though I would just be sitting at my table to do it if I didn't need to take all of my dress down to get access!!)FutureCooper wrote: »your dress with a huge baby changing bag on your shoulder!
Yep - sounds about right!! I might get a more 'bridal' coloured bag as a special treat
So wedding things I've got done since I was last on..
- paid the photographer (that's fully paid now! )
- booked the hotel rooms again
We've had a bit of a disaster as my mum and her partner came to stay for the weekend and decided to check out the hotel so they booked in there for the weekend and it was so awful they left the next day and got a full refund, so we had to find another hotel! We're now using a Village hotel and I'm really happy with it, we got a great rate and it's such a better hotel with all the swimming and gym facilities thrown in too. It's not in the city centre, which is why we didn't book there in the first place, but it's a lot better I think. We go there a lot as they have a Starbucks and I did a training course there so we know it's a nice place. I'm really excited about it now :j:j so while it was a disaster for my mum, it's worked out well in the end.
- bought supplies to make out 'guest book'/signing.. thing
- bought ties for OH and the best man and they arrived yesterday - they love them :T it's these https://www.etsy.com/transaction/81045615
- my mum has bought her outfit and is really happy with it which is a relief! I'm glad she will feel good on the day
- OH has given notice. I couldn't as I didn't have my mum's full birth certificate, just her short one (seems obvious now but no one told me it had to be the full one!!) so I have to go back on the 30th to give notice and my mum had to apply for her birth certificate
.. I think that's it?! :rotfl:0 -
OH YES! and I went to the dressmaker!! I completely forgot about that one!!! She can take my dress up, and it won't need completely taking up - just a bit off the underskirts and then some piecework on the lace - so it won't be too expensive, and it can be taken in no problem too. I need to find a bra, and she will then sew ribbon loops in the back of the dress to hook the back strap through to keep it down which is great. :j :j0

67 days to go and I am PANICKING. o_O I haven't even started reading the book which will hopefully be helping me to write the handfasting ceremony. And I have an Open University assignment, my final one, due in just over a week which I haven't even started studying for. I feel like I'm juggling too many plates!I say we take off and nuke the entire site from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.0

Oh, 72 days for me!
I have just spoken with the caterer, and gone through a few things. She has also confirmed a few things so thats good (like they have an easel for our table plan, we can have a horseshoe or round table etc). I also asked about puddings, she said they can do most puddings so we need to have a think, and she said they usually have a choice of 2 or 3, I was thinking an apple pie or crumble (my fave), a chocolate fudge cake or something similar and a cheesecake (probably strawberry)- do you think this would be ok? or can you think of something else thats a really nice pudding that most people like?
Also :j completely un wedding related but my lovely oh has finally fixed my drivers electric window! It will be so much easier getting into the work carpark now!!:rotfl:
I will have a proper catch up in a mo!0
