I think ive found a nice compact mirror for my chief bridesmaid. Its really pretty, and there is the option to have it engraved on the bottom so I may get a little message put on the bottom, just so it makes it feel a bit more personal, but it wont be the main focal point (if that makes sense). Im definately getting my younger bridesmaid a little trinket box, and my flowergirl a teddy and then the best man I think oh wants to get him a hip flask.

Im now stuck on parents, I will have to speak with oh and see what he wants to do.

    Im loving the sun today.:)

    PinkPrincess - what can I say - happy pants-wearing!:rotfl:

Thanks. I actually think I spent more time finding my pants than I did my dress!!:rotfl:

So... my list of things to do today was abandoned - we figured we should make the most of the sun while it was out and not only have we dug up all the tree stumps bar two, dug up 2 concrete posts and smashed in 2 more, but we've filled all the holes back in as well!! I am so pleased!! It was a mammouth job but so worth it. It has made our garden around 2-3 feet longer by removing that hedge. :T My lower back is bloody killing me now though lol. :) But it is nice to have a job ticked off.

So the rest of today's jobs (painting over the one remaining filler patch in the lounge, and doing something with the french doors) can be done in the evenings this week coming.

Oh sounds like youve have a very successful day Natalie. Im sure your garden if going to look fab when its done.

:mad:Grrrr, I was just beginning to think the printer was starting to understand me, I managed to print out on printer paper the photo charm picture and it looked great, until I managed to scratch it as I was squeezing it into the frame so I will need to redo that, then I was practising on paper the place name cards it was going fine and I got the text in the right place, right size font etc, went to print it on card and the printer doesnt like the card!!!

Oh crikey. I'm supposed to have special PANTS as well?!
I say we take off and nuke the entire site from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.

I think im going to get oh to do it all, it seems to work fine for him!! Im hoping with the place cards its just I need to change part of the settings or something, if not Im really not sure what to do, but I really dont want to pay out for someone else to do it (at 50p a card it soon adds up).

I've only just been persuaded by my bestie that I ought to buy some shoes rather than wearing my filthy beaten up Iron Maiden high-tops under my dress...

How exciting you get to see your fiance tonight PinkPrincess - have a fab weekend!
I'm not sure we have any exciting plans. My fiance will have a friend over, so I might disappear off to legs bums and tums and do somne tidying up in the garden, seeing as it promises to stop raining for a whole weekend. I have honeysuckle covering half of my front window!

Wanchai - thanks for empathising with me. Your hair trial sounded fab, and the bag is very cute too. Must add 'buy bag' to to-do list! :) How was the hen do?

Oh, it was really great thanks! Just lovely to get everyone together, we drank and talked and giggled and danced. They had some lovely little surprises for me too, I had a fab time. :D

Also, I have a question for anyone who has added me on facebook (if anyone hasn't and wants to feel free, just PM me!).

I am still faffing about what to do with my name once we get married. I could just bite the bullet and take his name, but I really don't want to lose my current name, it's mine and I've had it all my life!!

We've thought about double barrelling, but (and this is why you need to be on facebook!) what do you think of our two names together? I can't get past the fact that I think it sounds a bit odd, because mine's foreign and his isn't, but I work with someone called 'Mistry-Ward' and hers doesn't sound too bad... I don't know if ours goes though! For anyone not on facebook, my name is German for 'king' and his is Cheryl Cole's maiden name without the 'y' lol cryptic!

Also - what do men do when you double barrel? Do they just keep one or do they have the double name aswell?

    x

I think that they go really well together!! I'm not sure whether I'll take OH's surname yet, and will take my time deciding I'm sure!!! :rotfl:
:j I have pants!! And they were a bargain at £5 (plus £1 parking back so £4). So glad I didnt confirm the figleaves order I almost placed the other day as they were £15 inc p and p.

I had a look around for gift ideas, and am still just as stuck as I was yesterday!

For those having a table plan: Are you making your own? Im undecided whether to make my own (which could involve another fall out with the printer that hates me!! :rotfl:) or pay out for one or whether to go for the middle option which is someone does the actual printing part and then I can then stick it on card and decorate with my butterflies!

Well done on the pants!!! :rotfl:

I'd like a birdcage with the table plan attached - something like this:
