Im back from the gym!! I knackered now though!!:rotfl:

Well I plan on doing a few wedding things this weekend, which include:
Trying to sort out ceremony music
Try and get a list together of songs for the evening
Order some ribbons to go on cars (ie one for my sisters car and one for ohs step dads taxi), just so they look a bit more weddinging!
May try and sort out bridesmaid and best man gifts

There is also some bits I need to print but Im sure the printer hates me so I need to do these bits on a day when I have plenty of time and patience!

11 weeks today. Which doesnt give me a lot of time considering I have the following plans:
Sat 23rd June Hen night/ birthday night out with my friends
Sat 30th recover from the Friday night out which is my work hen do and then in the evening go to see an abba tribute band at my sisters local cricket club (went last year and had the best night, was such a funny night)
Friday 6th, 7th and 8th i have a hen do with some of my family
    Sat 14th make up trial

So that only leaves me 6 weekends after this weekend to actually do stuff!:eek::eek:. Am I the only one starting to feel a bit like  theres still loads to do and not much time to do it all, and the time there is left seems to be whizzing round!!

Oh Natalie- I do feel a bit better now Ive seen your updated to do list which includes all the diy bits!:rotfl:

Ive been trying to find gifts but then I keep doubting myself!
Flowergirl- teddy with a little personalised t shirt
Younger bridesmaid- trinket box, I just know whether to get just her name of it or whether to get a message saying thank you for being our bridesmaid
Older Bridesmaid- I was going to get her a compact mirror with her name on (shes uses a compact mirror regularly so know it will get used, but am now doubting whether to get her a personalised one or just a normal nice one (which I havent actually found one I like yet)
    Best Man- a hip flask

We are on a very small budget so Im hoping to get these in for about £10 each.

Then I get stuck on what to get out parents as they are helping us with the wedding, but I just know what to get them, and the budget it small!

Why does something that seemed initially straight forward have to then seem so complicated!! (ok its probably me making it over complicated!!:rotfl:)

:j Wedding music is chosen. We only needed two songs and we have picked them so oh just needs to put them on a disc. I cant actually tell you what the entrance music is because oh was playing them on his laptop and I was listening (and trying to picture myself walking down the aisle to each song :rotfl:), and the second one is a piano version of a song, and it wasnt until oh went to download it he said it was very apt as it was called 'At last'! (after 11 years it really is at last!!), Ive you tubed it and there is a vocal version and I do recognise it. So :T thats another thing sorted!

I was playing an 'At Last' song yesterday when I was looking through songs and I agree - very apt!! :D Part of me was thinking of having an 'about bloody time' song, another part thought 'lets get this party started' type of song, but glad that we agreed to go with 'Its the end of the world as we know it'. :D

    Well I have:
    * Put 2 coats of emulsion on top of the filled and sanded cracks in the lounge.
    * Sanded the window boards in the lounge (3 of them)
    * Put the first Polyurethane coat on the window boards. Will put the second coat on after tea.
Then all that is left to do in the lounge is a set of new doors and all that entails.

Oh and I also meant to say Id be tempted to go for a personalised 'thank you for being our bridesmaid' for your younger one, but to just get a really nice compact mirror for your older one. :)

And I know what you mean about the gift for parents - we're getting ours a photo from the wedding framed, but it doesn't really seem like much given how much they've helped us (in every sense not just financially with the wedding). But there is a budget there for a reason :)

Also, I have a question for anyone who has added me on facebook (if anyone hasn't and wants to feel free, just PM me!).

I am still faffing about what to do with my name once we get married. I could just bite the bullet and take his name, but I really don't want to lose my current name, it's mine and I've had it all my life!!

We've thought about double barrelling, but (and this is why you need to be on facebook!) what do you think of our two names together? I can't get past the fact that I think it sounds a bit odd, because mine's foreign and his isn't, but I work with someone called 'Mistry-Ward' and hers doesn't sound too bad... I don't know if ours goes though! For anyone not on facebook, my name is German for 'king' and his is Cheryl Cole's maiden name without the 'y' lol cryptic!

Also - what do men do when you double barrel? Do they just keep one or do they have the double name aswell?

    x
I think I have figured it out from your clues... Lol! I think it would sound absolutely fine! I know two couples who did the double barrel thing and in both cases the men took the double barrel name too. I suppose it's nice for the kids if Mum and Dad have the same surname, but each to their own. I am taking OH's name. We both have really long surnames so it would be totally daft if we kept both. I always have to spell mine out and so does he so it would take forever if we had both!:rotfl:I am happy to have his name anyway.
