  • Had loads of chat to catch up on since Friday!! Thanks for your 'niceness' ladies, lets hope the LL has an empty house for at least 6 months. Ha.

We viewed another house on Friday evening before a big curry night with friends (whoops, i am sooo off track at mo) and it was like a wendy house. Grrrrrr. So it looks like we'll be sticking with the 'manky' house as it is a good size, on a good road and we will have to decorate it ourselves and make it how we like it as we need to be there for about 18 months or so.

I haven't done anything weddingy as i have been really busy this weekend. Started packing, dismantled the big desk in the man area and start stacking boxes in there so everything is piled together for the removal men.

I brought the lovely navy dress from TK Maxx. It was lovely on and got my friends (the future bride) approval. i just need to source some strappy shoes now. I would like baby blue ones with baby blue clutch bag, and earrings too. So while H2B is up the pub this evening i might have a little look online. There is nothing on TV i fancy . . . . im just watching Adele live at Albert Hall again.

Just a quickie. Can I just scream? I flashed my necklace photo around at work and my blingy shoes. Wish I hadn't! Was told necklace maybe too blingy. And facial expressions showed a dislike of my shoes. Argh so now I'm back to panicking about it all! I love the jewellery am sure it goes. But may end up with the rainbow club shoes! Argh! Next time I'll just stick to showing you lot!

Sorry Laura not ignoring you. Writing on my phone during lunch.

Melanie- glad you navy dress is perfect.

LauraL-:j on the invites and paying the venue

Natalie- of course you can scream. Ignore the comments, if everyone had the same taste life would be boring! I personally think that it will compliment your dress perfectly, and with the shoes you arent going to know for definate until you have your dress. Did you hear back from the shop?

Ive just treated myself to number 7 cleansing foam, day cream and spot cream as my skin isnt great at the moment. Im thinking if I start looking after it now it should be just right for the wedding! It was nice and mse aswell as it was 3 for 2 plus I had a £5 off voucher so it only cost me £16.50 instead of £30.50.

Scream away!! The jewellery is gorgeous and isn't too bling with the subtle bling from your dress. sorry, but your work colleagues have no style. :rotfl: If you can't match/co-ordinate or bling on your wedding day when can you?!

Ahhh the sleeping baby in one arm and trying to do everything one armed/handed. Haha i remember those days :D
Not alot to sum up really Laura . . . . Natalie is still organised, closely followed by Emma (both got their invites out) and Mel1 (made her invites and nearly ready to go). Myself and Wanchai seem to be way behind and we're still 'in the process'

God I'm shattered this evening - looks like I'll be doing some exercise DVD later instead of going for a run now - lol either than or I'll end up dead on my feet half way round!!

I am absolutely sure the necklace and bracelet will go with my dress. It is so delicate (yes I've obviously zoomed in on the photos so they may appear more in your face) but it is just lovely and definitely compliments the flowery detail in the dress. But I do agree with the shoes - I do hope the larger AB clear diamantes will be the answer but I'm not holding my breath. I haven't heard anything from the bridal shop - part of me is miffed the other part of me isn't cause it's not like my dress will be ready. I *may* pop in on Wednesday - I've got to get to a place in S!!!!horpe for 4:30- well I reckon if I can get there for 3:45- 15 mins at the shop max (I can look at my necklace with the dress) and then 30 mins to get to the meeting. I just want my dress to be ready god damn it!! *stamps her feet*

Right snack time. I have my performance management lesson observation tomorrow - so got to write a proper lesson plan for that (I have it in my head - I just need to write it down on paper). All I want to do is have a late-afternoon nap! :)

Just had an email from the bridal shop:
Hope you're well. Re shoes i would try BHS their ivory shoes are quite pale and would go with your dress perfectly. I'll be in touch when your dress is here. Many thanks
*sob* I want it here NOW

Hi all, I had SUCH a busy weekend! I managed to do ok foodwise, and spent FIVE HOURS yesterday walking around the wedding show so that's gotta be good exercise, right! Please let me have lost weight, WI is tomorrow!!

Natalie - how rude of your colleagues!!! If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all! I can't believe that. Everyone has different tastes but they should have been happy for you that you got something YOU loved. If you love the shoes, then stick with them, otherwise change them, but only for yourself. Hugs x

Lol - mine was like that as well! I wanted him in a nice grey suit with an open necked shirt that matched the wedding colours - no tie. But oh no, he has to go for tails. Plonker.

Yay for paying the honeymoon off!

I bought my jewellery today in Debenhams - wasn't planning to but they had a wedding special event thing on and there was 20% off the jewellery. I looked at the pearl one but it looked a bit cheap because the pearls were a bit fake looking, and plus I liked the sparkles on the other one! So I got £37 worth of jewellery for 15.60 because of the money off and the vouchers.

I've also just about chosen the hymns we are having, going to get my grandad to cast an eye over them tomorrow because he knows more about them that I do (is it bad to admit that they all sound the same to me :o).

And I will be giving out my first three invitations tonight - just written them out and put them in the envelopes to take, that'll save a pound on postage :rotfl:

    xx

Oh, what hymns are you having???? :D Hurrah for your jewellery bargains!

Rachel - sorry about your OH's bereavement xx

Hi Lauralou, glad you are keeping well xx

Mel - so glad you went for that dress, it is FAB. :)

Right, I'm off to write my invitation text this second if it kills me! :o

To be honest they weren't mean and I did ask for opinions - just well you know - I'm allowed to be a bridezilla!! :D
To be honest, and this is going to sound so daft - it's only a pair of bloody shoes, but I could honestly cry!! (Hormonal? Stressed at work? all the above? :D)
