:jfor your post box arriving. Would you recommed getting that one? Going order all my the bits from ebay later and thats on my list:)
I think im going to spend my easter hols spending too much money on the wedding!:rotfl:0 -
Well I havent actually taken mine apart yet to look at properly as its in a cellophone wrapper so thought Ill leave it like that so it stays clean but it does look very nice. Mine is a tall rectangular one and it looks like it will be just right, my friend got one of the plain square ivory post boxes off ebay and she has put hers together and said it was just right. I mainly got one because I was worried some would get misplace, ie accidentally put in the bin or something and also because then it will be a nice keepsake box after the wedding for us to put all our special bits in.
hehe, sounds like your going to have a fab easter holiday then!!:rotfl:0 -
Hiya you two
Well I'm writing this in my lunch break. Working from home today because we're moving offices at work and the removal men wanted to come in a day early to start shifting things. Tomorrow we're all on a training day in another venue, then on Friday we all get to see our new office.
Anyway loving the roses Laura!!
My final (lol hopefully) PDA order arrived today - really am pleased with their service - they have wrapped all the card up in so much bubblewrap it's like it's made out of china! Anyway got some tissue paper so I'll have a play with decorating it later (when I've finished all my work). Will then show you photos - probably tomorrow - am off out for tea tonight.
Anyway hope you are both having a nice day enjoying the sun (hope you have some!)0 -
Hi Natalie,:j at the pda order. Will definately keep them in mind if I need any more card bits.
My bridesmaid tiaras came, they are just what I wanted so am happy with them. They are these ones:

I also phoned the catererd at the venue today, am going to meet up with them middle of MAy time to go through what we want/ what they can do so we can get an idea of costs.0 -
Didnt meet up with friend today so no wedding talk :-(!lol
So i have walked the dog and know placed my order on PDA:jso excited cant wait now:D
Natalie:jyou got your order. Glad you found the service good - i feel comfortable with placing my order, im always scared when using a website i never heard of so i do like to get recommendations/reviews:D
Emma the bridemaids tiaras are lovely0 -
Here is my keepsake box
Made very MSEy - with a boot shoebox, left over ribbon and card from my trial invites, and free tissue paper0 -
I also bought some UHU glue sticks as well - got 2 large ones (25g each) QUOTE]
Don't mean to put you off but I would be tempted to invest in a smallish hot glue gun, or double sided tape rather than a stick glue. UHU is miles better than Pritt stick but it has a tendency to dry out and then whatever you've stuck just falls off.
I've found this to my cost in my first year at uni (a graphic design tutor is not impressed when your typography falls off your display because you pritt sticked it on!) and since then on many a year 11 project that falls apart after a few weeks in storage.
If I make my own (to be honest I'm starting to think I might just buy some - lazy!!)
Talking about engagement rings and wearing them on the right hand - I don't really want to wear rings on both hands as they annoy me, do any of you know whether your e-ring or w-ring is meant to be on your hand first if you have them on the same finger?

I need to look into the glue thing. I have some glue for the inserts but need to work out the best way of sticking the ribbon on. Mil2b may have a glue gun so it could be worth borrowing that for when I first start trying to put them together.
Mel, ive had a google apparently your wedding ring should go on first as its closer to the heart. But I would say do what you want and what your happy with.
I already have an eternity ring that I wear on my right hand but I think im going to either take that one off and put it away and have my engagement ring on my left hand, or I may put the eternity ring on my left hand as it will sit nicely next to wedding ring. I would love to wear my engagement ring on my left hand after we are married but I would either need to get a ring specially made or some cut out of a normal band and Im not too sure how expensive this would be.0 -
Ah that makes sense about the rings, doh yeah I probably should have googled it lol thanks!
My engagement ring is oddly shaped too but I'm hoping it will sit ok next to just a plain wedding band - I've found one for £45 on Tesco direct! :money: :rotfl:
I'd def go with a hot glue gun for sticking ribbon to card. You can pick them up fairly cheaply in places like The Works!

I think im a fuss pot though and would want my engagement ring to sit flat against my weddng ring. Its causing me problems finding a wedding ring though as Ive decided that if it does sit on its own (with engagement ring on the right hand) I want a little diamond or something in it so it isnt completely plain!! I am tempted to find out how much it would cost to have my grans wedding ring made to fit (its huge) and a little diamond put in- but then Im in 2 minds as I would love to have her ring as I was so close to her, but then worry that I would end up regretting it as it wouldnt then be hers!! why do some things have to be so complicated!! ok they probably arent its just me over complicating things!!!:rotfl:0
