Mel- Im sure you will find the perfect dress. It may be worth keeping an eye out in somewhere like Monsoon as some of their wedding dresses have a bit more of a sleeve than other dresses.

:jAt ordered your invite and heart card Natalie. Bet your so glad to finally get an idea of numbers from MrD.

I havent done anything in the last few days but me and my oh had a bit of a chat about the honeymoon- deciding if we go on a nice holiday or if we spend a little bit more and go somewhere we wont get the chance to go to again any time soon, we have set a budget so will just have to wait till more 2012 prices are released. So far I quite like the dominican republic, although August is part of their hurricane season- but thats going to be the same with anywhere over in that kind of area. But looking into it its also their hotter time of the year, and the weather generally seems ok- it looks totally gorgeous though. ANother place was Cuba but I havent looked into that very much at the mo.

Oh lol I would so go for the 'we'll only get to do this once' kinda holiday, that is certainly what I'm after - lol no idea if it will materialise as I haven't got any budget for that! I would love to go to Oz and dive the great barrier reef (childhood dream) but I guess it's a bit of a trek for just a weeks holiday. (MrD would struggle to take any longer off work).

Well our wedding looks like it's going to spill over three days now lol. After sorting out the first draft of the guest list (will finalise it a lot closer to the date you know, to account for breakups/get togethers etc), we have decided that my work colleagues will not be invited to either the ceremony (cause that is immediate family only) or the aftershow party, cause of numbers. So to make it up to them I am going to do a BBQ for them at a later date, probably in the week following the wedding. Will definitely be getting value for money out of this thing lol.
We have also been thinking a bit more about what to do after the actual ceremony - cause *if* my big brother comes he'd be travelling about 3 hrs each way for just 30-45 min ceremony. I *think* we have decided we'll just do drinks at ours afterwards. Nothing formal, and I don't want to do any buffet cause we'll be doing that on the Saturday. Just makes more of the actual day I suppose. Lol but the worry with any gathering after the event will be stopping people making bloody speeches and embarrassing me lol. At least the drinks I can budget for and get relatively cheaply from tescos at Christmas.

I havent had a proper holiday for so long that I would be happy with anywhere with a nice beach, but do like the idea of somewhere a little bit more special. Having a quick look into it though we could get a nice all inclusive 4 or 5 star in dom rep or cuba for 2 weeks within budget. I just need to look more into the weather thing- apparently its their tropical storm season- but from googling quite a few people say its a nice time of year to go.

That would be such an amazing honeymoon if you could do that- but as you say its a long way to go for one week.

Well ive just found a site with some bridesmaids dresses that I really like- and are such a bargain but cant buy them yet as I have no idea what size my little sister will be!!

Pop over to the travel board on here - there is bound to be someone on there who can tell you whether it's worth the risk or not - it might be their hurricane season - but that might just mean you get a downpour once every couple of days for 10 mins or something but the rest of the time it's nice and hot. (No idea cause I've never been just speculating).

Ooo great news about the Bridesmaids dresses - are you just having your little sister? How old is she?

Im having 2 of my sisters as bridesmaid- one will be 30 and one will be 12!! I do have another sister but am having her little one as flowergirl (she will be 4 and has an ivory dress so is sorted) and have asked my sister who isnt bridesmaid to be my witness. So obviously having such an age gap is going to cause me problems because although my little sister will fit into adult sizes (shes almost as tall as me already) I dont want anything too grown up, but then I dont want anything too young for my older bridesmaid!

Hehe, I do like the fact that it will now be 3 days- definately worth putting on an extra night if you can- youll feel like its a constant celebration. I take it the honeymoon will be a few weeks after the wedding- once the holidays have started?

Yea the honeymoon will be at some point during the summer hols - lol probably. It'll have to fit in with MrD's race season (motorbikes), so will have to wait until early 2012 for the race calendar to come out before we plan that too much. I wouldn't really mind leaving it till October half term to be honest - in fact if we go somewhere like Egypt it might be better cause then it won't be unbearably hot. Lol it would also give us a few extra months to save up for it!

Oh I agree - that *could* be a bit of a headache but there are some really lovely styles out there that I'm sure you could find something to suit your two Bridesmaids that could be either made young-teenagey or adulty with accessories. :) lol are you going to share a piccie of the ones you've seen?

I was talking to someone about Eygpt and how I would love to ge there, and she said it would be so hot in August- I like the heat but not so its unbearable! I guess as your having your pre honeymoon in October it wouldnt be so bad for you if you then waited until the October.

Well I saw this one the other day online that I like

    http://www.marksandspencer.com/Autograph-Tie-Back-Flare-Dress/dp/B004FX8FQ4?ie=UTF8&ref=sr_1_7&nodeId=668351031&sr=1-7&qid=1301948751&pf_rd_r=1ATF5R09A036CKJ3F9SJ&pf_rd_m=A2BO0OYVBKIQJM&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_i=668351031&pf_rd_p=215570647&pf_rd_s=related-items-3

but would need to see if something could be done to the bust part to pull the material up and put a few stitches in on my little sisters so it sits a lot higher (makes sense in my head!!). This is the one I found tonight that I like, not convinced about the dress on its own but like it with the shrug- then again if my sister grows too much it could be a bit short anyway:

    http://www.bonprixsecure.com/uk/Satin-prom-dress-2743631-bundle.htm?id=1591489321546221716-0-4d9a2cc7&fb=0&ssz=-1&spr=-1&sco=pink&label_id=-1&sss=-1&sma=-1&srz=-1&sourcePageClick=article_image
I had been looking at a website called something like style shake or something- where you can pick each part of the dress, so I could have had them identical but with different necklines, but when I started looking they were about £80 each, but theyve increased to about £100 now- which I may stretch to if I have to, but if possible would like something a little bit less. I also like a dress on BHS but the neckline is too low for my little sister- and theres no way I could anything to alter that.

I don't think that something like that M&S dress would be too bad on a 12 year old - I wouldnt class it as revealing. Or could you have matching colour and accessories but different styles of dresses maybe?
Another option might be to get a silky camisole type thing for her to wear underneath so it cuts off the V neck? If you get one in a matching colour it will look a bit like this http://www.debenhams.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/prod_10001_10001_008010433542_-1?breadcrumb=Home%7EWomen%7EDresses

Question - Does anyone know a good craft/stationary website that loads of different style/colour card? Also maybe one that does free samples!

    Thanks:)
