I had a reply from my dress alterations lady at long last today, saying she has just returned from holiday and couldnt get her internet to work for a few days- but I checked my emails and you would think if she had gone away for over a month she would do something (ie email customers to let them know) so I now need to work out how to reply to say Ive actually for someone else to do it.
I cant believe how quickly its coming round Melanie- 24 Fridays isnt long!!:D
Get well soon Emma . . . enjoy your duvet day. On all email systems don't they have one of those Out Of Office messages? You would thought that your seamstress could of used that as a months holiday is a long time without notice to her clients. I'm looking forward to 10 days in the sun, i'd burst if i had a whole months holiday:rotfl:Just received my invites and I love them, except the mistakes I have already mentioned. Just need to get together with my Mum to put them in their accompaning envelopes, seal them and put names on so I can deliver them. I want to do it now but expecct that my Mum will want to do it on the weekend.
:j how exciting. I can't wait to get on with mine next week and i soooo want to post them all right now!!
Fingers and toes crossed today . . . . i have had a telephone call from a local letting agent and a house has just come up. Its everything on our tick list and another bedroom too, all for £25 more than we pay here. I am patiently waiting for a call back to view it next week whilst i'm off. Pleeeeeeeeeeease let it be the one.0 -
Melanie- fingers are well and truly crossed for you with this house.
I know my work emails can have an out of office but I wasnt sure about a normal email, but you would think that a self employed person would have something wouldnt you!
:j On getting your invites Tracey.0 -

See maybe I'm just mean, but I wouldn't.I just wouldn't respond - if she can't be bothered to sort you out (crap excuse if you as me) then why should you be bothered to respond?
Well I'm feeling rather smug again. I've accidently ordered Asda delivery for tomorrow instead of today which means we've actually run out of veggies. Well all apart from carrots and butternut. So on the way home I was debating - take away or stopping off at Morrisons. Tell you my mind swung from one to the other many times in the 16 mile trip. But I'm a good girl - thought of those scales and that wedding dress and instead of the take away (which would have been a pizza), I've got us a prepared stir fry (already got the chicken out this morning), some sauce (a low fat one), and a tray of prepared roast veggies. Yum! Just have to wait now till tea time (we tend to eat around 7:30ish). Very smug
Mel2 - Hope the viewing goes well next week (see I'm thinking positive here - that you get a viewing!)
Tracey - :T yay for loving your invites - have we seen a piccie of them?0 -
Well done Natalie, I regularly debate with myself the whole 18 miles home- usually whether to go to the gym or not!!:D
Well ive not been good today:
Breakfast: a rocky chocolate biscuit
Lunch: 2 slices of m and s good for you toast (55 cals a slice) and beans and the smallest amount of cheese
Dinner: asda good for you korma sauce with chicken breast and new potatoes with a little bit of rice and a third of a garlic naan bread!
And I could easily finish it all of with a naughty pudding- like a huge slice of chocolate fudge cake and cream or ice cream or banoffee pie or anything tasty and naughty really!!
Oh I hadnt thought of not responding Natalie. That is very true though ill have to think what Im going to do.0 -
Phew MSE is back! Lol. Typically I was writing a reply when it crashed!
I have had a reply from a marquee furniture hire place - they have the tables we want but including delivery it'd cost us just under £100!! Just waiting to hear from one more place.0 -
emma: Waiting a month for a reply from a business and then finding out they are on holiday is not good enough. I would ignore her email as she obv is not that bothered about your business.
I have shown you guys a picture of a prototype of the invitation but will upload a photo when I can. I managed to convince my Mum to dort out the invites last night so they are now already to go. xx0 -
:j on getting the invites all sorted.
Im glad it isnt just me who thinks a months wait is unreasonable. If she had been taken ill it would be acceptable but for a holiday I dont think its acceptable.
Ive just been out to the shops in my lunch break and got my oh a really nice valentines card. I had a fiance one in my hand then saw one that said to my husband to be and it says inside about I cant wait till your my husband, I thought it was really nice and now im all excited about the wedding! Oh and Im back at work today and have energy!!

ooh share the shop! I have searched for that kind of card as i find all the Fiance cards a bit naff. I have got one but i'm not OTT about it.
Good news . . . we have an appointment booked for Tuesday morning to view the house. They are not advertising it as this stage and we have been offered first refusal on letting. :j The present tenant is handing keys back in mid March so we are going to try and get for it for the beginning of April and then we can move during Easter half term!
Last day at work then a week off to make invites and plan the move. I feel another list of lists coming on! Going to have change my address with everyone only to go back in 3 months and change my name too.0 -
It was from Clintons. It was inbetween the fiance and husband cards. Its just a red card with 'I love (well a heart) you' written in squares out of things like the heart is made of rose petals, and some of the letters are made of metal etc). And inside it says on one side 'being with you makes me so happy and I never thought I could love anyone as much as I love you' and on the main side it says '.. I cant wait for you to be my husband'. It just sums up exactly how I feel so just had to buy it.
Oh fab news Meanie about the house viewing.0
