Tack- thats the word, I was trying to think what the proper term was and could not think of it!!
:j at going back red!:D
Oh I look forward to seeing your photos of mrds ring. It sounds like it was a very good buy.0 -
Ha I sounds very domesticated don't I knowing the word 'tack' - ha!! The truth is I'm crap at sewing. Mmm I need to order myself some burgundy thread then - lol let's see how much of a nightmare that is getting the right colour!!
I know I am very excited about going back to red... but in a couple of weeks time we're going to start our pool sessions (diving) to brush up on our skills... so that'll suck all the red out lol. Good job MrD can do it at home isn't it!! (Even if it doesn't come out quite as good as when my hairdresser does it).
How are you feeling now? Have you gotten over your lurgy? My head is finally clear - but I've still got this sore throat - been a week now!!0 -

I dont do sewing, I can sew on a button but thats it! I send it all to mil2b!0 -
Thought you might like to see this
(Lol the best I managed to take today - I took 127 photos lol... not sure if I'm happy with it, I think the light levels makes it look too grey. But the light is fading so nothing I can do about it now. Next time it's sunny out I may give it another snap
It's really hard to get the beveled edge of MrD's ring showing because it's not ver distinct. Anyway - what do you think?

And here are two ones that didn't make the cut.
The first one - if you look at the far left of MrD's ring you can see the beveled edge.
The second one - love the symbolism but it makes for a crap photo composition!0 -
I am buying organza by the roll to cut with pinking shears (so it doesnt fray) and use as runners.. I intend to spray them with cheap extra hold hairspray to keep them stuck to the tablecloths.. going to trial run it in a couple of weeks so hope it works!0

Natalie- love the pics. You do realise any photos I take will just be boring normal pics!!
Ive had a nice afternoon, got a call from nan (was worried at first cos she sounded a bit distressed and was asking if I was home, well I live closest to her so was worried), but it was only to say my aunt, uncle, and 3 of their 4 girls were down, and the eldest was there with her baby so I rushed round, hes 10 weeks old and soooo cute so I had some cuddles with him.
Oh where has the weekend gone!!0 -
I just enjoy snapping away - and if I can get these sort of posed shots done now there is less for us to pose for on the day
Then our photographer can focus on just capturing the moments rather than the details - if that makes sense
Spoken to my mum over the last couple of days - she has confirmed that she is going to be coming and staying with me the night beforeVERY happy and excited!!
She'll be getting here around 11pm ish - I am assuming I'll be too excited to be sleepy so it shouldn't be a problem.
So I'm going to have to get something nice in for our breakfast

I don't know what to have for my breakfast on the day lol. I'll be having my hair done at about 9ish so although I would love a bacon sandwich I don't want my hair to smell of bacon haha.
Maybe croissants...?
Good photos Nat. When you take the 'real' photos with the better light will you be putting the rings on something else? It looks a bit odd on the hand, the composition is great though. White tablecloth with a gerbera maybe? Your camera is brilliant, the shots are so clear. I like your OH's ring too, could just make out the bevel.
I have been slightly off the diet wagon this weekend - it was OH's mums 50th so we have been in Liverpool, went for an AMAZING meal out on Saturday night followed by a few too many drinks
But I have managed to do something to my thumb (whilst sober!) - I sat down on the floor and as I put my hand out to steady myself, I must have somehow bent my thumb weird because there was a really loud 'pop' and my whole hand swelled up! It's gone down a bit now but it's still noticeably swollen, VERY painful and I can't grip anything. I couldn't even pop a Nurofen out of the packet earlier! Sitting here now with a hot wheat bag on it and have taken some anti inflammatories.:o:rotfl:
Just sitting around bored now. Dunno what to do really!
xxThs signature is out of date because I'm too lazy to update it...0 -
I don't know - a part of me likes them in the palm of my hand
But I may try them on a white table cloth when it's sunnier (fingers crossed for tomorrow ha!) But I agree - I do love our camera - and it's not bad really given that it's 7-8 years old and is only a fake digital SLR (it really is just a very good click and shoot with an impressive zoom - but we do have 1 lens that fits on the front like a SLR).
