Silaqui - good for you making such healthy plans for half-term, I'm v. impressed! Did you find anything nice for breakfast?
I had my WI this morning - 10st 4.5lbs!!! 2.5lbs off in one week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :j:j:j I am super chuffed. If I keep this up I'll hit my target no problem! These protein shakes are really working. Can't believe that they fill me up for hours. I know they're not the healthiest way of losing weight, but they're better than Slimfast et al, which just seem to be full of complete crap. I do still get the urge to snack now and again, but I know that it's just 'mouth hunger' and not real hunger, so I can resist. I'm going for my 6th laser lipo session next week too, and they're going to tell me my measurements - can't wait.
I know that I have a long way to go - it will take time to lose 1.5 stone and I'm not expecting 2.5lbs off every week, but it's given me such a boost to see the numbers reducing on the scales.
Fantastic well done! We all know it's not realistic to expect that everytime, but it is SUCH a huge boost to see that on the scales!
Natalie, at least you know there is a reason for a slight gain though - you know how to fix it, you haven't been being good all week and gained anyway! Get back on it and show us how it's done!!
I had an apple chopped up into a bowl of porridge in the end! Wasn't really feeling the porridge but it made it down so it's all good. Although my gym workout was cut short because my new trainers (that I bought YESTERDAY) cut my feet to ribbons. They actually tore my socksI went on the cross trainer first and they were fine, but as soon as I started running, the pressure made the plastic logo bit on the outside dig into the side of my feet. I assumed that it was just new shoe pain and it'd go away but it didn't and eventually I stopped and looked and discovered the damage!
I've taken them back to the shop and got a refund - they were horrified when I showed them what the trainers had done and they not only gave me a refund but also gave me an extra £30 giftcard on top! I've now got these ones.
They should be good for running but my only worry is that they won't be as good for combat and zumba where there's a bit more movement. I still have my old ones though that I can use if nothing else.
I'm sitting here now with plasters on my feet haha - I'm going to look stupid at swimming tomorrow with two big scars down my feet!

Sorry to hear about your nightmare with trainers Mel1!!
My only advice regarding trainers for running in is they should be approximately half a size bigger than your normal shoes - to allow for your feet to swell as you run. They also shouldn't be tied very tight. I have mine incredibly loose - if I was to wear them as fashion trainers they'd do my head in and no doubt I'd get blisters from them flip flopping but they are so comfy to run in.
(Ha makes it sound like I've done loads of running recently!)0 -
Emma - good girl! I bet you feel proud of yourself for resisting pudding, and our gym work will cancel out the big dinner!
Natalie - you're going great, I feel exhausted just reading your posts sometimes! :rotfl: Where do you get the time!
Silaqui - eeeek @ your trainers!!!!!!! Thank goodness you got a refund and replacement, and that was nice of them to give you the giftcard too! Top customer service!Enjoy your swimming until the cuts heal. Thanks for the kind words also xxx
I went to the stationery place at lunchtime to get our cards, but the ones I wanted were OOS - and it could be a TEN-DAY wait to get them in! Grrr!!!!!!!!!

Ha! It's because I have nothing else better to do
God knows what I'll be like once the wedding is over - I'll have to find myself another hobby!

Yeah I've heard that about going a bigger size - I went for a 6.5 in both pairs. I have really flat feet and always go for the motion control or stability shoes - the Reeboks that caused the damage were in that section but they must have been on the more flexible end of the spectrum which cause them to dig in and cut when my feet were 'over-pronating'. Still, I would have expected discomfort, not scarification! :rotfl: These new ones seem much better so far though. I was really pleased with the customer service, I am definitely going to go back there next time.

Wedding and party planner?
God no!! I would be driven to despair trying to organise someone else's 'do'. Can you imagine it? Having to deal with other people's ideas of what a wedding should look like, and having to sooth any bridezillariness? Nope - There is only the one wedding I'm organising! :rotfl:0 -

You are all getting on it and i feel a bit behind! I did have a fab night with Olly Murs. He was very good and we were quite close to the front. Daughter got to be about 6 inches from him and she went all shy!!!
Well the viewing - Hmmmm what do i say. My heart sank as soon as we walked in. I had such high hopes as it is a lovely looking house, fab road and quiet no through route area of the town BUT jeez how some people live. I hope i don't offend anyone with my dislikes but i am not a fan of peach coloured walls with floral borders and it was all peach! The kitchen only has a few cupboards and to say the house was dirty and unloved was an understatement. It was rank. The things growing in the utility area weren't of any species i have ever seen!! So we have left a load of questions for the landlord about how clean the house will be, decoration and state of carpets etc and see what happens. If all that is seen too we could manage as the room sizes (apart from kitchen) are ok for us.
So my lovely Valentines day and 1 year engagement has turned out a bit pants! Did you all get something loving and romantic today??
wanchai - well done on the weight loss. thats a good start and makes you feel better and confident for the week ahead!
Mel1 - Your poor feet. The shops customer service sounded good though. Well done and admiration for your sporting efforts.
Natalie - it would be a waste of your talent not to find a hobby that uses your organisational skills!!0 -

Oh, I'm still well behind with the planning if that makes you feel better!!! :rotfl:
Shame about the house, but if the LL is willing to redecorate (which they should be, otherwise they haven't a hope of getting new tenants) then it could turn out great, as all the other factors are OK.
I got a card and was treated to lunch on Saturday for V Day so that was lovelyI gave MrW his card this morning, he loved it
and I'm making us a lovely dinner this evening - no wine for me but I don't mind xxx
Thanks btw - the weight loss has given me a huge boost. It's my colleague's birthday and she brought in some WW cake slices so I felt churlish refusing. I just had the one - a coconut slice, only 80 calories! Mmmm it was gooood.Better than having a huge wodge of cake, which I would have had before!!!
