Oh Melanie, I had my fingers crossed for this house for you.

I got a homemade card!:D I joked to oh the other day he could make me card if he couldnt be bothered to go out and get me one, so thats what I got! Bless him!!

Its my weigh in tomorrow but Ive been feeling really bloated the last few days so im not feeling that positive! I did quickly go on the scales at the gym today but it wasnt to check my exact weight it was because im feeling bloated I then started to panic maybe my scales at home were wrong and maybe I hadnt lost the half a stone so far!- I have so that was good! (panic over!!)

Dont go thinking it was all pretty and handmade, it was a computer made one on normal paper- I did think he made have used one on my blank invites but no, normal plain paper! Just as well we dont really do much for valentines (its our anniversary in 10 days so weve always celebrated that more).

Well the viewing - Hmmmm what do i say. My heart sank as soon as we walked in. I had such high hopes as it is a lovely looking house, fab road and quiet no through route area of the town BUT jeez how some people live. I hope i don't offend anyone with my dislikes but i am not a fan of peach coloured walls with floral borders and it was all peach! The kitchen only has a few cupboards and to say the house was dirty and unloved was an understatement. It was rank. The things growing in the utility area weren't of any species i have ever seen!! So we have left a load of questions for the landlord about how clean the house will be, decoration and state of carpets etc and see what happens. If all that is seen too we could manage as the room sizes (apart from kitchen) are ok for us.

So my lovely Valentines day and 1 year engagement has turned out a bit pants! Did you all get something loving and romantic today??

Mel1 - Your poor feet. The shops customer service sounded good though. Well done and admiration for your sporting efforts.

Natalie - it would be a waste of your talent not to find a hobby that uses your organisational skills!!

Oh dear such a shame about the house. Maybe you will be able to get it deep cleaned perhaps - I know back in my days of looking for student houses a friend of mine got the cost of a professional clean taken out of her deposit because it was pretty disgusting.

Nothing here for us. I don't do Valentines day! The first year I was with my OH he bought me a card that must have cost at least £4 - I told him it was a waste of money and not to do it again and he hasn't lol! Don't see the point tbh, surely most people tell each other every day anyway?

Oh dear Emma haha, scary scales! I really want to get a new set because the ones I have here seem to change weight depending on whether you lean forward or back, but I am dreading buying a new set in case they put weight back on me lol how stupid!

I have electronic scales and they seem nice and accurate- the ones at the gym arent electric and you can lean on them (or as they are quite large put you feet towards the back), and the weight varies so although they are useful for just checking them against my home ones I wouldnt rely on them!!

I might have to see if can pick up some electronic scales fairly cheaply then! Deffo need some new ones though because a minute ago I made my weight fluctuate 3lbs just by changing positions!

I was quite lucky because my step nan got someone these scales for christmas (the person had asked for them), but then got given a some by someone else so my step nan gave them to me (brand new), and they are good, I do find though I have to get on them, weigh myself, it weighs me a few lbs heavier then errors (each time I beg it to error before I start to panic Ive put the extra lbs on!!:rotfl:) then I weigh myself again and it gives me the correct weight! Im not sure if its because of how I store them, I think they just need to be reset each time. Ive just looked on argos and they dont seem that expensive.

Well I emailed the lady who was meant to alter my dress (I felt bad for not replying even though I had nothing to feel bad about really!!) and just said I no longer require you to alter my dress. That was it!

I also had a message from cake lady as she wanted to know what time the wedding was as she has had another bride enquire about my date but wouldnt commit until she was sure she would be able to fit both weddings in. I had been meaning to email her anyway as I wanted to find out when she wanted to meet to confirm, we have decided June, that was I have plenty of time to change my mind before confirming with her exactly what I want!

I now really want a cupcake though!:D
