Well done for sticking to the shakes - I don't think I could do it - I love my grub too much! I am totally addicted to snacking on sugar snap peas at the moment! They are my saviour at work, when I really want a bag of crisps I just have a handful of them0

Love the food diaries. I am following Slimming World and they encourage it. I write one every day after every meal. It has a section for the good stuff like fruit and veg so you can easily see how much of that you are eating in proportion to the rest of your intake. You can't beat Myfitnesspal app for counting calories on but you do have to be careful with its americanism as alot of the measurements are by the 'cup'.
B- 35gr porridge made with 100ml skim milk and water
S - grapes and orange
L - homemade Vegetable soup, Onken FF yogurt
S - Banana
Dinner later will be med vegetables in a tin of tomatoes served with golden rice and then perhaps a low cal hot chocolate later. I also still have a fibre food to eat so could have a cereal bar or toast for supper if i am still hungry.
Better look for some confetti later!!! ooh another shopping opportunity x0 -

It's only Day 1 ha ha!!! I am actually a little peckish now, I must admit - how will last until dinner at 6:30! I'm still at work and there's NO food around to tempt me, thank goodness.FutureCooper wrote: »Love the food diaries. I am following Slimming World and they encourage it. Hey everyone
Here is my food diary
Breakfast- golden syrup porridge with 1% milk
Snacks- banana and yoghurt drink
Lunch- 3 quaters of a tin of heinz veg soup
snacks- Apple
Dinner- spag bol with 3 cheese dough balls as a treat
Dinner may push me over my 1200 cals but im ill and its what I fancied so I dont care (plus I do allow myself to go over every now and then as long as im good the rest of the time) Im just putting in my fitness app now.
Melanie- sounds like you have a fun wedding packed half term.:D
I think that is reasonable time for alterations- I would just say (after my sisters bad luck) make sure your dress is there way in advance even if you dont have the alterations until just before.
Wanchai- Im a grazer aswell, I just make sure I dont have anything to snack on unless its healthy (and no money to go to the canteen)- it seems to be working.0 -
Emma, that's amazingly good, well done you
Hope you're feeling better soon xxx
That's a good strategy, it's better to have no temptation within reach! I'm having a really s****y day as well, hassle at work and problems with a so-called friend - I could happily eat a packet of biscuitsBut I won't.

So much to catch up with you guys.
Luckily, we have had no snow down here. Normally I love the snow just not in my current condition.
Well done to all those losing weight. And for those who are struggling it will happen, just have patience and give it some time. I will be joining you in panic mode once I have had the baby as have put on 2st 4lb and still have 4 weeks until I am due. I WILL FIT INTO MY DRESS!!!
Today we received our invites and realised we made a mistake. The invites are from my parents inviting people to their daughters wedding (obv me). However, we forgot this when printing names and my ohs parents are to Mum and Dad, and grandparents state grandparents. This is obv wrong. Luckily we have a couple of spare invites so are goinng to hand write them. Couldn't believe it as neither me, oh, or my Mum picked up on this until now:rotfl:
I don't get why that's wrong? I was planning to invite ours mums and dads as 'mum and dad', aren't you meant to do that? Please help me out because I don't want to mess up lol! Sorry if I'm being thick!Hi everyone. Well done on the 2.5lb Nat! I managed to lose another 1lb before the dreaded dress fitting so that's 6lbs since going back to work on the 4th of Jan. Not too bad I guess, but need to start doing a bit more exercise to speed it up a bit.
The dress fitting went ok, but the dressmaker seemed a bit off , just not her usual self - a bit abrupt would be the word. Everyone can have an off day so I'll let it slide, but if she's like that on the next fitting I'll have to have a word because she should be making me feel special and excited I think. She was great on the first 2 appointments so hopefully she'll be back to normal next time.
Nothing else weddingy to report. Need to get my finger out with the save the dates - I said I would send them 6 months in advance and I've missed that deadline so I better get going! Next on the list is to start looking for shoes for me(silver I think), get the BM's to keep an eye out for shoes that would match their dresses and order the BM's petticoats...
I also need to start looking into jewellery for the BM's gifts - if anyone has any tips of good sites for jewellery sets let me know!
Also is anyone else ordering confetti? Was thinking about ordering off ebay, but I'm not sure what the quality will be like - any ideas?
Are we meant to buy confetti? I thought you were meant to take your own to a wedding!
I like the food diary idea, also if anyone else is using MyFitnessPal feel free to add me as a friend on there - Melissa2807
Today I've had my usual breakfast of Greek yoghurt, raspberries, a scattering of all bran clusters for a total of 285 calories.
Then for lunch I had 4 jacobs cream crackers, some philly, a carrot and an apple, and a packet of Kelloggs mini breaks for 385 cals.
Then tonight was not so good - cornish pasty and oven chips at about 800 cals, and a chocolate bar for 123 cals. But I am going to the gym in a bit. Honest!
I must warn you though, my food diary will be incredibly boring because I have the same breakfast and lunch pretty much every day!
xxThs signature is out of date because I'm too lazy to update it...0 -
Sorry Mel, i think me and Wanchai are stressing people out with our confetti chat! Haha!
We were saying this to the other Mel earlier too - both me and wanchai have similar ideas and really want some great pics of a big shower of confetti being thrown over us on our wedding days and in my experience hardly anyone bothers bringing their own these days. So I'm making confetti cones and my wee flower girl will hand them out to the guests - I think it will be a nice touch, but its not something you have to do

I was in two minds about confetti - I actually can't be bothered with it
If people want to bring some to chuck at us then I won't stop them but I'm not going to buy/make any to give them. (It isn't a priority photo for me
)

Yeah it's not for everyone, but I saw a pic of a wedding at our venue and they were all happy and there was loads of confetti all around them and I thought 'I want that photo!' It's not going to cost much at all so I'm gonna go for it.
I don't know if we'll all keep up with the food diaries, but even if we don't at least it will make us more aware of what we are eating
Your food diary looks pretty darn good! We can do this! Haha!0 -
Oh I'm not judging anyone
by any means - absolutely each to their own. My priority photo is MrD and I stood with our town's church spire in the background.
And thanks for... eek can't remember who - was it Mel1?... anyway someone on here said their wedding ring would sit completely inside their grooms.
I plan on taking a photo of our rings, mine inside his, sat on his palm.
(Ha I just have to sweet talk him into posing for me).
Just had mackerel for tea - yummy!! I do love proper fresh fish!!0
