:T have just placed an order for MrD's ring... we're getting the same guy who made mine to make his. He can bevel the edge
It has cost me £147.37 (approx £70 less than we were quoted in town :T)

Hello Everyone
:j On getting MrDs ring sorted. Im sure there is another bride on here whose partner needed a similar size to that. When my sister got married Im sure her husband was a Z:eek:! My oh is an R which is fairly small in comparison!
Well Im done a few weddinging things today. Ive sorted 3 of the 4 unfinished invites out- one was a bit wonky so I have had to print it again and now need to cut it to size. I have also printed out all my envelopes (luckily the printed took them) so all I need to do now is get 3 addresses and thats all the daytime invites sorted!!:j
I also popped into a local ladys house who I found on facebook who sells loads of wedding bits and I got 8 ivory cameras (date of Oct 12) and I also got 100 baby pink butterflies with a little gem on each that Im going to use on my place name cards, table numbers and table plan- all in total cost me £20 which I was very pleased with!0 -
Come on Wanchai - we CAN and WILL do it!! (When I weighed in on Tuesday I was 10st4 - but I had had 2 days of being good so had lost some bloatedness before that).
We are doing this togetherIf I see you being naughty you may tempt me lol how's that for peer pressure!! Just think every time you want to eat something 'naughty' how you will feel when on Tuesday I get a better weight loss? Lol (No pressure there then ha!)
I have now had 4 days (am on day 5) of being good. I've been keeping a little diary of what I've eaten - I am also beginning to plan my teas in advance as well instead of just 'what shall we have tonight'. That's helping to reduce the 'can't be arsed to cook' thing. I'm also preparing double amount of veggies at a time so we only have them to do on alternate nights - that is the one thing I have about cooking - doing the veggies - especially as we go through so much! (A typical night's tea for the two of us would consist of 3 carrots, 2 1 inch slices of butternut squash, 2 corn on the cobs, 6 or 8 baby plum type tomatoes, 10-12 sprouts, about a third of a bag of fresh green beans, half a bag of fresh stringless beans and a red onion. It's sooo tedious!)
I'm not doing exercise properly yet - that really needs work on cause won't lose weight without it (well I will just a lot slower). Went to Body Balance tonight though - love that.
That's an excellent point Natalie!!! I will feel bad if you're doing better than me
Soooo, I'm OFF ALL ALCOHOL for as much of Feb as possible (have nights out on 17th and 25th but will stick to vodka & soda water and avoid wine) - everyone says that giving up booze makes the weight fall off so I am determined to stick to it!! I'm also trying to eat less and will be back to my 30 Day Shred DVD from Monday! I WILL DO IT.PinkPrincess83 wrote: »We will be skinny brides who will look back on our photos with pride at how well we all did!:D WE CAN DO IT!!
Well I finally remembered to take my inserts to work to cut down so over the weekend I will be finishing the invites- I couldnt do it tonight as I was at mil2bs having my hair coloured!
Wanchai- just think in 3 months thats roughly 12 weeks you could aim for 1lb a week which is doable and that would be just under a stone for your first fitting.
Oh thanks lovecake- must have a look at that and see if I can get inspiration for my thank you cards.
Thanks Emma... that's a good target to aim for - 1lb per week. Although tbh, I now need to get 1.5 stone off by the wedding - I was aiming for 1 stone when I was 10 stone!:o:o:o Thanks for the pep talk as well, goodness knows I need it.
Natalie - thank goodness your FMIL is happy with her buttonhole and you got the wedding day practicalities sorted! And that's great that your OH has chosen his ring, hope you get it at a good price xx
So! I've decided that we ARE having a car rather than just using OH's - it is a very nice car but not vintage. I really want one of these in ivory!!! LUSH...
http://www.superiormotorcars.co.uk/cars/1968-daimler-v8-250-for-wedding-car-hire-yorkshire/
I've decided on our videographer - he's pretty new to the game but his sample vids are good. Fingers crossed!!!
I've also decided on the church music. We're defo having a pianist, a singer and a violinist but are trying to decide whether we can justify having an oboist as well (£100 extra). Hmmm! Just need to finalise the music choices now
I'm having a wobble about my BM's dress, haven't ordered it yet but my mum is not too keen on the colour that I like. Maybe I should just go ahead with it anyway7 Feb 2012: 10st7lbs14 Feb: 10st4.5lbs

Oh Im so bored this evening. I really want to do wedding stuff! I wish I could make my place name settings and table planner now! I did a little mock up of my place name cards and I have to say I thought they looked really good.
Natalie- thats such a bargain for MrDs ring.
Wanchai- that car is really nice.0 -
Thanks Emma
What cars are you all going for, ladies? I would like to be MSE and use OH's but I am too in love with the vintage ones
I really love those free wedding stationery printables that lovecake posted - am so tempted to use those for ours!Should I? Can I use them with Vistaprint?

Wanchai- Im just having a nice silver merc. (which reminds me I need to email them to change the ribbon colour from fushia to baby pink). I do like the older cars but they arent for me (I wanted a nice car but not one that really stands out and really draws attention).
I have also decided Im going to be moneysaving and use the spare hot pink ribbon and hot pink flower gems and use the spare plain ivory cards to make my thank you cards.
I think lovecake said you can use them with vistaprint.
Oh and Wanchai- if you like the bridesmaid dress colour and it suits your bridesmaid then I say go for it.0 -

Good for you missy, that's very MSE! :money:
Oh yay, if you can use the designs with VP that'll save us a fortune!!!!!! Must have a play around with it
I think I will go for the BM dress, I need to be more decisive7 Feb 2012: 10st7lbs14 Feb: 10st4.5lbs

I would deffo go with the dresses you like, as long as your BM likes it obviously! Its not your mum who has to wear it! My car is a pale blue jag - there's a gallery on here. I thought it was a pretty colour lol. And the driver is an ex-policeman but unfortunately he won't show us his advanced driving skills down the country lanesI already asked!
I have written the cheque today to pay that off actually so will have to get that in the postbox tomorrow.Well you think your partners have big knucklesMrD's ring finger is an X! Eeek (Thinking price of gold here!) Anyway he has chosen a ring - now to shop around see if I can get it any cheaper any where else (although I doubt it) and then order it. He's chosen a bevelled edged medium/heavy flat court 3mm 9ct yellow gold ring. It does look nice on his finger (well he could only get it over the first knuckle). Bless him. Have been quoted £220ish (depending on the price of gold on the day of ordering).
Oh and I asked about getting my non-engagement ring re coated and it'll cost £30 for that and a polish
Am quite pleased with that really (I have £247.29 left in my ring budget).
Haha yeah my OH was something like a Y or a W, can't remember which! I put the rings next to each other and they looked stupid, I haven't got the thinnest of fingers either! Mine fits completely inside his!
Good price for it though, I must get my engagement ring recoated before the wedding. Will have to find out how long it takes to do so I can time it right. It'll be weird not wearing it!
Its really good that we are all motivating each other with the weight loss! Mine has slowed down a little but at least has not stopped - and to be fair I have had some quite heavy weekends lately. I only dropped 1lb this week but I did go out for a burger and cinema last night, and cinema = ben and jerrys! I had my usual 3 scoop core sundae but surprisingly I couldn't actually eat it all (I normally inhale it lol). To serve me right for wasting money I accidentally put my hand in it at the end of the film.
xxThs signature is out of date because I'm too lazy to update it...0 -
Mel- well done, 1lb is still really good. (my target is 1lb a week)
Mel. I like that Jag, what a shame he wont put his driving skills into practice!!:p
Oh mel, youve reminded I need to go through everything tomorrow and write down in my diary when everything needs to be paid.
I took my ring into a shop yesterday to ask about the rhodium plating, Im going to get mine done the start of June I think.
Wanchai- you, indecisive, never!!:rotfl::D
The thank you cards will be the design I was going to do my invites, and at least by doing a similar design I will know what im doing and they shouldnt take long.:)0
