Hurrah!! :T:T:T
I was sat driving home today thinking if I send my invites on the 15th I wonder how many would arrive on the 17th(lol 5 months till the wedding). Am sending them via 2nd class hence the 2 days.
But I still doubt I can wait any longer than a week tomorrow :rotfl:

I think im going to get mine all finished and get all addresses this weekend. All I need to do is put ribbon on three of them (one already has ribbon on) and then stick in 4 envelopes and they will be all ready.
I really do need to go through the evening list with oh but I may sort day invites out this week and get the evening invites with rsvp cards in envelopes then all I will need to do is write names on them next weekend and then I can send them all out around the same time.0 -
MrD's mum loves the buttonhole :T and she is happy to have my brother's arrive at hers on the morning of the ceremony so I won't have to worry about them not getting here on time/not knowing where they are going. :T

also preparing double amount of veggies at a time so we only have them to do on alternate nights - that is the one thing I have about cooking - doing the veggies - especially as we go through so much! (A typical night's tea for the two of us would consist of 3 carrots, 2 1 inch slices of butternut squash, 2 corn on the cobs, 6 or 8 baby plum type tomatoes, 10-12 sprouts, about a third of a bag of fresh green beans, half a bag of fresh stringless beans and a red onion. It's sooo tedious!)
I'm not doing exercise properly yet - that really needs work on cause won't lose weight without it (well I will just a lot slower). Went to Body Balance tonight though - love that.
OMG - thats a lot of veg! I couldn't face all that, i'm not much of a veg fan and i have to make myself eat it because i know i should. That will be why your so good at losing weight! :j I do like mediterranean veg though so i am going to try and up the amount of that this week and cut back on carbs as i'm not losing much.MrD's mum loves the buttonhole

Emma - nearly there!! I still have loads to do on mine. Going to try the double sided tape idea on my ribbon this weekend (once i have brought some) I have body tape, would that do?? :rotfl:
I am definitely sending them out all together though as a family friends son had caused a row amongst his distant aunts etc. They didn't send all the invites out together just posting them as they made them! So 1 aunty got her invite and 1 didn't. She wasn't happy thinking she had not been invited. Then when hers arrived she assumed she had been added because she had got upset about it and is now refusing to go as a 'second thought'. Families, hey!!0 -
Im ok with veg, I try and balance out between veg and salad otherwise I get a bit bored.
I found I had to sticke the tape of the card then line the ribbon up- we tried with it on the ribbon but it make the ribbon go wonky. I found it worked really well though once we had worked out the best way to use it. (my whole invite make process was trial and error!!)
Glad MrDs mum liked her buttonhole.:D0 -
Afternoon everyone!
Hurrah it's Friday - which means TOMORROW we go and look at wedding rings for MrD :T I can then come home and order him one. :T Very pleased with this.
Melanie - I do eat loads of veg - that and the large amount of protein I eat at tea (200g) means I don't miss my carbsI actually only have carbs with my breakfast (which is basically one giant bowl full of them lol); and a small bit with my lunch (slice of toast/small roll/bit of rice/pasta); but generally have none with my tea.
Although it's good for my waist line it really isn't as good for my purse - all this fresh food costs alot more than if I just did pasta with something. Still if it means my body gets rid of this excess weight then it'll all be worth it in the end. Another good day here for me. - that's 6 days - which has actually surprised me counting them up like that - it doesn't feel that long - hopefully that feeling stays and I don't begin to crave crap and realise how long I have to wait before I can overindulge again
(August 11th - my brother's wedding once I'm already looking fabulous in my dress lol).
Wanchai how are you doing? x0 -
Woo hoo we're off to find MrD a wedding ring today - I actually think it's going to be easier than I thought - I think he's got a vague idea of what he would like - something not too big and cumbersome.
Well tonight we're off out for a meal with my family to celebrate my Granddad's birthday. I will try to be good!! (Only have a main course, and stick to blackcurrant and water). Sneaky peek this morning would suggest I'm doing well so it would be a shame to go and blow it all away! I have a calender set up on Excel (roughly - it's got the days along the top, and the tuesday weigh in days down the side) and I've been colour coding each day so I can see whether I've stuck to the plan or not. Green = stuck to the plan, Bold Green = stuck to the plan and did some exercise. Red obviously means not stuck to the plan at all. I think I'll use amber if I have something naughty that is unplanned but not too bad. And then I'll use black for planned naughtiness where I have some damage limitation like tonight - I'm planning on having a chicken dish, and will avoid anything creamy.
Right breakfast time0 -
Well you think your partners have big knuckles
MrD's ring finger is an X! Eeek (Thinking price of gold here!) Anyway he has chosen a ring - now to shop around see if I can get it any cheaper any where else (although I doubt it) and then order it. He's chosen a bevelled edged medium/heavy flat court 3mm 9ct yellow gold ring. It does look nice on his finger (well he could only get it over the first knuckle). Bless him. Have been quoted £220ish (depending on the price of gold on the day of ordering).
Oh and I asked about getting my non-engagement ring re coated and it'll cost £30 for that and a polish
Am quite pleased with that really (I have £247.29 left in my ring budget).0 -
Tut him and his bloody bevelled egde!! I can get the same ring minus the bevelling off the wedding ring specialist (where I got my ring from) for around £100 less!!0
-
Cor it's quiet on here today!! Hope you are all doing lots of fun and exciting wedding things0
