    Silaqui - well done on the 1lb loss!!!!!! :D

    That car is lovely - too modern for me, I'm a vintage lover, but it is really fancy!! :)

    This is the same as OH's car (navy Rover 75) - it is lovely and I should just agree to use it, but I waaaaaant a vintage car *feels guilty*

    Mel- well done, 1lb is still really good. (my target is 1lb a week)

    Mel. I like that Jag, what a shame he wont put his driving skills into practice!!:p

    Oh mel, youve reminded I need to go through everything tomorrow and write down in my diary when everything needs to be paid.

    I took my ring into a shop yesterday to ask about the rhodium plating, Im going to get mine done the start of June I think.

    Wanchai- you, indecisive, never!!:rotfl::D

    The thank you cards will be the design I was going to do my invites, and at least by doing a similar design I will know what im doing and they shouldnt take long.:)

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    I need to do all that diary stuff too, eek!!!!

    Some jewellers do the rhodium plating on site while you wait so it doesn't have to be sent away, HTH. :)

  • The jewellers Im going to take it in on a tues, it gets done on weds and then is ready for collection thurs, I wouldnt want to be without my ring any longer than that.

    Wanchai- I think that because your having such a vintage wedding that you should have a vintage car, this is just my opinion by the way but I think when you look back on your photos in a few years a new car (to me anyway) would really stand out and look out of place. If you were just having the odd bit of vintage I think it would be fine but as everything else is vintage the car should be to.

    Wanchai, I think I partly went for it because it is quite understated and minimalist but also smart enough to be a 'wedding car' if you see what I mean. I would have gladly gone for something like your OH's car too because I like things to be quite plain (boring!)!

    If you are having everything vintage I think you should go for the vintage-y car, if you can stretch the budget to it! If it's a theme rather than a style, you want everything to match. And plus, if I remember rightly you are big on the photos aren't you - you probably won't want to look at your wedding pics and see the same car that's parked on the driveway!

    xx
    Ths signature is out of date because I'm too lazy to update it... :o

    Oh, that's ok then! I would be anxious if I were parted from my ring too :D

    You're so right, I know that in my heart but I was just feeling bad about the expense :o But yes, I have a feeling that we won't regret spending the extra few ££ on a beautiful vintage car. :) Thanks for the common sense reassurance xx

    You're right - and yes, I am BIG on photography - OH's car just wouldn't look right with the vintage theme! :o Right, that's definitely it - you have both made my mind up. :D Yay!!!!:j

    I am pinning away like mad tonight, oh Pinterest how I love you... :rotfl:

    I don't know - we go away for the evening and you lot all come out to chat lol.
    Cor the roads out there are bad. It's taken us over 2 hrs to do a journey that would normally taken 50 mins or so. MrD really is a very good all weather/terrain driver.

    :D Am really pleased with MrD's ring - just hope that I placed the right order, and that when it comes he likes it. (eeek). I am so impressed with the place I use, the service from the guy really is very good - quick to reply to emails, and he just asked for me to send him a picture of the type of bevelled edge MrD wants. Should be with us by a week on Monday. That's another job done. :) (Although it means I now actually have nothing to do over half term lol). Oh we also ordered MrD some diving boots so at the end of Feb we can go for a pool session and practice some of our buddy skills.

    I've a confession to make. I went to tea with being good in mind. But it went out the window when everyone else ordered a starter main course and pudding. I had garlic mushrooms in a cream sauce with a whole bagette (oink oink oink), a chicken breast with a slice of bacon, some BBQ sauce and some cheese melted on top served with chips (oink oink oink), and a chocolate sponge for pudding (oink oink oink).... so to make up for it I will do an exercise DVD tomorrow!! But that is it now - no more meals out that I know of... well none like this where I can't exercise some degree of damage limitation!

    Oh and cars - not having them - am tempted to drive me and mum there myself but not sure how practical that is, besides my granddad would struggle to get in and out of my car. :D

    Ah well, I hope you enjoyed your meal! :D And you probably burned off some calories trying to stay warm on the drive home :) Stay safe, those who have snow/ice (we don't, it's really weird seeing it on the TV).

    Driving yourself in your wedding dress and shoes *could* be tricky! What about even a smart taxi? If our wedding was in a city I would totally have an old black cab for the fun of it! Would that be a possibility?

    First weekend off the booze for me and it's going surprisingly ok. I don't miss it. I also felt better this morning waking up without having had a few last night - even a couple of glasses of vino can leave me feeling a bit groggy the next day! Hoping that I can keep it up all month (apart from my two nights out) and lose a few lbs.

    Restful day for me tomorrow, then back to DVD action on Monday :j:j:j:j

    Ha I drive in silly high heels all the time :)

    I think I'll just get my mum to drive us in her car. I resent paying for a car. It'd be different if we weren't just going to the registry office and back to ours

    Right bed time x

    Ah, but I joined very late ha ha ha!!!!! I'll catch you up. :D Not surprised that you're top poster Natalie lol. lovecake is clearly going for quality over quantity. :rotfl:

    So what's on the agenda today for everyone?

    I really want to sort out my wedding car, and my church music. Can anyone recommend some nice hymns/classical pieces? I'm forbidden from having Canon in D as OH hates it. :rotfl:
