How are you feeling now Nickki? Are you regaining any strength/energy?
Yes I am thanks- I'm much stronger than i was (I was struggling to eat a month ago because i didn't have the energy to lift the fork to my mouth!) - just frustrated with how long it's taking
Wanchai - you could employ a dog walker? thats what some colleagues of mine do - i'm extremely lucky that my dog comes to work with me and i use him as a work tool.
I used to work for social services, and before that for the inspectorate for a number of years. The constant regulations and red tape and attitude of some employees used to frustrate the heck out of me....
I work for a charity now, on the opposite end of the scale, and that still frustrates me lol just wish there was a happy medium somewhere.
Luckily, I totally love my job so can banish the frustration because i'm out and about for a high percentage of my time
i went back to uni to requalify into a different profession because the inspectorate frustrated me so greatly!
Try to work out your dream job, and work backwards from there into one you could afford to do...
Natalie - good luck at work tomorrow!!
xxThe newest Mrs Lindley...... I married my Welsh Soulmate on 11-11-11 xxx0 -
Hey everyone!
Hope those who are back at work today arent struggling too much!- I am seriously flagging, I couldnt sleep last night so managed about 5 hours (I need at least 8!!). I am however doing ok foodwise and feeling quite positive and motivated. (im currently eating vegetable soup and trying to convince myself to eat it all despite the fact all I can taste is the parsnip in it- and I hate parsnips!!) Oh got up early today and put all the stew ingredients in our slow cooker- so im looking forward to a tasty dinner!!
- oh has been in his job 6 years, and for the last 6 years his set 2 weeks off has always been the first 2 weeks of August- hence why our wedding is when it is so we can go straight on honeymoon which has been booked for months! Well he has been informed today that its actually the 2nd and 3rd week this year!! He is still allowed the time of for the honeymoon as long as he has enough leave- it will mean he has 3 weeks off- and he will have to work up until the wedding rather than finishing a day or 2 before, I did inform him that it means that on his 3rd week off I will go back to work on the weds he will have to cook me dinner ready for when I get in from work for those 3 days:rotfl:!!0 -

Sounds very good to me!! A proper house 'husband'
Work was okay
Off to exercise. Disappointed the postman didn't bring me any wedding related goodies today.0 -
Back to work today . . . . it hurt! It was soooooo dark when the alarm went off at 6.40am.
Thanks for your kind comments on my button bouquet. It took about 5 hours to make. The handle took a few attempts but i'm quite pleased with the results and i'm hoping that the more i do it the easier it will become!
I emailed the chair cover lady who is offering covers and sashes for 75p and she is free on my date. Yay, so at just £30 i am going to have them just for the extra co-ordination of the room :rotfl: just haven't told H2B yet . . . .0 -
That really is a total bargain for your chair covers!! The company recommended to me by our chair hire place charges something like £2.50 a chair for cover and sash - day light robbery!! Good to see that some people do it for far more reasonable costs!
Yaaaaaaay MrD's shirt has arrived - he's going to try it on later - fingers crossed it fits!!(I went off his neck size - but I'm worried about his biceps fitting!)

It was pitch black when I left the house as 6.50am!!:D- and very windy so not a pleasant drive to work! Oh thats fab news about the chair covers- do they charge much for setting them up? or will you rope someone you know into doing it for you?0 -
Ive just decided I am going to make oh sit down at the weekend and we will finalise our guest list- at least as much as we can so I can then start to collect addresses, getting the evening invites labelled up on the envelopes etc. We will then also make a decision about the person I was put on the spot about yesterday.0

That sounds like a good plan Emma!
God getting up was hard to do this morning!!
:T MrD's shirt fits him and it looks really good on him too. It's a slim fit shirt lol cost nearly as much as his whole suit (but used the M&S card my Granddad gave us for Christmas so I don't mind). But it fits him so well I'm very impressed!!So now just waiting on his cufflinks and his belt arriving. (I ordered the belt in the next size up to see how much bigger it is - he can then decide which one he wants to keep).

MrD's outfit is coming together!
My H2B and son haven't even started yet. My son got a gorgeous Ted Baker suit in a sale last summer ready for his RAF interview and its a light grey so i would like him to wear that. It'll save buying another and its a lovely slim fit on him. Hes very tall. Then i will get him a purple shirt the same as H2B so their shirts, ties, belts and shoes will match. I have asked H2B to wear a waistcoat as he wears a suit for work so he'll look slightly different and smarter iykwim.
Still can't believe i got chair covers and sashes for 75p. . . . thank you so much for the link! I have the paperwork to fill in and because shes local i can collect them and set up myself. They did offer a courier service at £20.00 but it'll cost me less in fuel and then i can set them up myself the evening before when we hopefully decorating the rest of the Hall. If not H2B, son and my mum will do it on the morning of the wedding.0 -
I still can't believe what a bargain you got with your chair covers!!
Hurrah my green florist tape has arrived today so after I've had my post-school yoghurt I'm off to go have a play0
