Aww Wanchai - what do you do? What makes it so crap?
I am really lucky in that I actually do love my job.
But that doesn't mean I'm not sad about going back lol. I always feel sad at the end of a holiday - especially if MrD has had time off with me. It has been lovely this Christmas the two of us being at home. The next time we'll have a week off together will be.... oh my god... it'll be on our Honeymoon!! Eeeek :T:T:j:j
I have just had a lovely 2 weeks off with H2B and i will be sad to go back to work. . . . however, like Natalie i luckily love my job! Now i know that my job is secure amongst all the changes I am looking forward to getting back and getting my head around the new challenge.
Sooo excited to think my next big holiday with H2B will be our honeymoon!!! Wow.0 -
We havent had a proper holiday for years, so I got all excited when I realised we would be going on honeymoon in under 7 months!!:D0

Right ladies, above is the link to the button bouquet I have put together for the local bridal shop. It is made of 90 stems and there is also a shot of my business cards I got from vistaprint. Finally got it finished today. I had tried using my glue gun to attach the ribbon to the handle but it didn't hold properly so I sourced some bridal floristry pins today and have used those to secure it. I also added felt under the ribbon so the handle is soft and comfortable. Fingers crossed now I can get an order!!
Now i feel like I am on a wedding role I am going to have another attempt at my invitations. I will print the new inserts tomorrow during teacher training day (sshhh don't tell, i'm not an actual teacher so it doesn't count!!) and then put one together tomorrow evening.0 -
Which is the sample one? The ivory one? LOVE it!! And I love the lace 'leaves' around the base of the button 'flowers'. Finger's crossed you get some interest - lol although perhaps only some now and then some in 7 months time lol. You have your own wedding to sort out in the meanwhile0

Melanie- firstly, I love your cards!! and secondly the ivory bouquet is amazing- I love it. will keep my fingers crossed that you manage to see a few. (a few now and then lots after July)
Oh I just remembered I had a text the other day to say some of my next order is in store ready to collect, thats a job for tomorrow on my lunch break!!:D0 -
Yes the ivory one. I have removed the others now . . . forgot they were on there!
Ironic how i'm now in full wedding planning mode after having had 2 weeks off and done nothing weddingy at all! It feels like now 2012 is actually here I have to get on with it.
It is just 17 weeks until a hen weekend with my best friend who gets married on 4th June. We have the same friends at work so she has booked us all in into Center Parcs (5 of us) for a 4 day Spa break. So I will be mostly wearing a swimming costume so I need to get on that diet and prompto.0 -
Oh that sounds like a fabby hen weekend.
lots of pampering and giggles

Right well guys it has been a lovely holiday chatting to you all. I don't plan on stopping but the first few weeks of a new term is always manic so I may not come on for very long and probably only first thing in the morning. I hope you all have a lovely first week back whenever that is.

FC, your bouquet and cards are amazing!!!! How long did it take? Xxxx
Nickki - I'd like a dog but we both work full-time so not sure if it would be fair on the dog.Aww Wanchai - what do you do? What makes it so crap?
:T:T:j:j
Public sector - and not even an essential job like a doctor or nursePen pushing tbh. I hate it. The pay is really good and that is the *only* reason that I'm still there. I'd love to have the courage to quit but would be scared of losing my financial security. OH is in the same boat. We shouldn't complain - we both earn more than the average and have enough money to enjoy ourselves, go on holiday, save for a house deposit and the wedding etc. We're very lucky. I know that the grass is always greener and plenty of people would swap with me.
Perhaps there's a happy medium out there - an enjoyable job that pays a decent salary. Anyone know what it might be?
