Just ordered these shoes to try with my dress. I haven't ordered the Rainbow ones as i really am hoping these ones will be right! A bridal shop in a local town sells Rainbow Club so i thought i could try for size and colour there and then find them on the web cheaper!

Also like the simplicity of these shoes and could have them dyed the exact colour of my lace.
I have snipped a piece of the lace and tulle from the bottom inside as i know it is going to be removed! Felt really bad taking scissors to me but i really need a swatch of fabric and i can't wait til 6 weeks before the date for the seamstress to do it. I managed to snip a bit of the sparkle and pearl also so i can take that to try and get jewellery to match.
H2B has informed me today that he is going to book the vintage red double decker bus to ferry our day guests to the register office and back on the day!! Really excited . . . . . however i will now have to change the inserts for my day invitations AGAIN!! I've changed them twice already and i have glued the last lot in so i am thinking i will have to cleverly trim the new worded inserts slightly smaller and glue on top of the old one and make it look like i have layered the papers!0 -

Hello everyone:)
I have read back but sorry i have forgotten everything i was going to say!
Well my big sister is now a married woman. It was a lovely day, unfortunatley we didn't manage to get any outside pics but even so it was still prefect. The only thing is i'm getting my flowers from the same florist and with the mens buttonshole the petals kept falling off, OH's only lasted until after the food he had about 5petals left. My stepdads went a bit sad, my brothers petals also were coming off. My mum coursage magnet wasn't great. My nans pin kept coming off, in the end she lost it. So, i'm not happy with the flowers and gonna ring them up and tell him and maybe see about getting my deposit back.
Happy New Year
Oh still No baby!!
Hurry up baby!!!!!!!!!
Congrats on your sister's wedding, hmmm that is worrying about the florist but hope you can get something sorted in time for your wedding - either your deposit back or a better quality product!Guess what....
We're getting married this year!!

:jon the vintage bus- that is so cool and will make some fab photos.
I think ive decided that im just going to stick to the Merc ive booked for me and step dad (and then oh after) and will get my sister to have her fiat 500 valeted and get some ivory ribbons for it rather than paying out for another car for the bridesmaids and my mum (sisters boyfriend can drive them)- there will be spaces in other peoples cars for my step dad to get to the reception.
Wanchai- have you made a final decision on the dress front?
Melanie- love the shoes.
LauraL- that isnt good about the flowers, I would definately go in and speak to them, my initial feeling was maybe your sister had out of season flowers, but definately go in and see what they have to say.0 -
Melanie!! But but but what if the Debenhams shoes aren't right? What if the Rainbow Club ones are? Then you'll be kicking yourself you didn't get the half price bargain at John Lewis. I still think I'd order them then you can see if they are right, and if they aren't you can send them back no harm done. Lol that being said though the Debenhams ones are lovely!
:T yay at the bus!!There were some really cool photos on an old bride's thread (lol old as in 2011 lol not old as in age) where they'd got a red london style bus.
:T:T how exciting Wanchai - that you are getting measured!!I got measured for mine after I'd been to lunch with my mum and had eaten a gorgeous lasagna and chips lol. (I bloat up very easily from carbs).
but alas I'm still 7lbs heavier than I was back then, and a stone heavier than I want to be on the day).
Car wise - I was thinking about this earlier. I think me, mum & granddad will be going in my mum's car. (And her partner if he comes). I was thinking of driving lol but my car would be hard for my Granddad to get out - plus I have no idea whether I'd be able to drive in my dress lol. Then afterwards I can go home in our car - which MrD will drive to the registry office. I'm going to ask Mark's mum whether she would mind hosting my brothers before the ceremony and then they can all go together - as they are coming a distance to the ceremony I wouldn't want them to be hanging around in town trying to waste time. I'm getting all excited just thinking about it.
Now - here's a question for you - how do I minimise dark circles and bags under my eyes given I am highly unlikely to sleep in the run up to the big day(s). I mean I only managed to sleep 3 hrs the night before Christmas... and that comes once a year. This is a once a lifetime deal... I doubt I will sleep for a week or more!!0 -
I think it would be good for your mum to drive- Im thinking personally I wouldnt be quite in the right frame of mind for driving. (ie a bag of mixed emotions- obviously extremely happy, but also very nervous).
I am now researching eye creams to reduce dark circles (I suffer badly)- decent foundation should hide most of it but I would like them as unnoticeable as possible. Im so far looking at a couple of clinque ones, I think Ill pop to boots to debenhams after Ive next been paid!:D0 -
Cold is good for reducing the puffiness so maybe putting a cold facecloth on the eyes each night and morning in the days leading up to wedding.also make up wise, ooh la lift by benefit is good0
-
Oh Mac do an eye cream aswell- fast response, oh how am I going to decide which one to go for!!
Theres a few different branded ones, I will have to have a proper look on debenhams and look at the reviews etc!0
