I am planning on staying at my home with at least my daughter. No doubt my mum will have travelled down by then so she will be welcome to come round for a while. . . . however if she starts picking fault or huffing and puffing about things i'll have to ask her to leave me alone. (she has a knack of this at times!) When i am stressed and nervous i am best left alone, and i am nervous now so i'll be a right mess by July! I could of stayed at the venue hotel but i know i won't sleep and i'll be pacing about so i reckon if i am in my home i can get up, make a brew, read a book, watch TV or more likely clean like a mad women!!
I got a sicky feeling when we were reading the ceremony choices together . . . . . I get that alot when i'm anxious/stressed/over excited! Mind you I am hoping that sicky feeling comes at least a few weeks prior as i can't eat then and i'll lose a few essential pounds.
H2B is staying with his best mate who lives 2 minutes walk from the Register office on the night before and possibly my son also. They are planning a game of golf in the morning, just 9 holes, if they don't have to decorate the Hall that is. We are hoping to all do that together the afternoon before.0 -

I am staying at my house so my mum cant drive me mad! Her heart is in the right place but she can tend to take over- and we tend to bicker!! I thought I can take all our stuff to my mums the day before and then we just have to get ourselves there, plus my hair dresser lives 30 secs from me so she can come round then we can all head to my mums.0 -
That's how i would of liked it but my mum lives in Shropshire so she will be travelling down with her hubby the day before. She is going to stay at the venue and wants to see me before the ceremony and do 'mum' things. I do love her but we are very similar and wind each other up. So with mum and my ever annoying 16 year old daughter i could be tipped over the edge. I am determined to go with the flow on the days leading up to the wedding and not get stress spots!0

I think thats the problem with me and mum- we are very similar- but when I am doing something myself I dont want her interfering and I get all defensive and we bicker! My older bridesmaid (big sister) will make sure I remain calm on the day.0 -
The night before our wedding? I'm shipping MrD off to his mum's. I'm staying at home with Bun
I did think about (and did) invite my mum to come over after work. She'd arrive around 11:30pm though - I need my beauty sleep. Besides if she comes up then I don't know how my Granddad would get up as I assume he'd be coming from hers. Plus then there is her partner if he decides he wants to come. So I think it'll just be me on my tod - with you guys to chat to lol.

*whisper* I've just ordered the Rainbow Club Simone shoes (I think I prefer them over the Else Chianti ones). Will see what they are like when they come - whether they stay on my feet, whether they are too creamy/ivory. I have ordered them from John Lewis - so I can return them free if they aren't absolutely perfect. If I love them but the colour isn't light enough I'll then order them from somewhere that does a bleaching service. Gulp! £79 on wedding shoes!! Way over budget! Especially when I've already bought one pair!!0

Gorgeous shoes! You have saved so much money elsewhere you can splash out on your shoes :rotfl:and am i right in thinking you will be wearing a tea length dress (like me)? So your shoes are not going to be hidden away. Wear with pride and splash the cash!! You can always have them dyed after the event to go to something else you own. - see how i am trying to reamin mse there:rotfl:
