  • Sorry- October bride peeking in....

Does the P20 only come in SPF 20 at the highest. Just tried a quick google and that's all that came up? I burn very easy (blonde and fair!! ) so usually have to wear at least factor 30 and redo every 45mins!

Oh and we have a diving course (PADI referral) ordered!

  • Mel- I think we will be saving like mad after we are married- so we may get a get a better deal when we remortgage in 2013. (im thinking if we can get it down a bit it will be better if we start a family as I will only consider starting one when we are in a position for me to work maybe 3 days a week)

Will have to be after 13th August for me. I guess it also depends where- my knowledge of where places are isnt great. I wonder where central would be.

Natalie- sounds like you have got some fab bargains today.

Yep but it's stronger than regular factors. SPF20 of P20 isn't equivalent to SPF20 of say niva. I usually wear a factor 50 if that makes any difference? If you're in any doubt I would recommend getting some and wearing it on a day out here in the UK (if you'd normally burn) and seeing what you think. For me the trial was wandering around Disneyland Paris with a short strappy sun dress on with the in-laws-to-be and not wanting to have to ask everyone to stop every hr just so I could top my sun protection up. I didn't burn :)

:D :T Yay to doing the PADI OW Referral :D We did the e-learning course. I loved it and cannot wait to get back in the water!! :D

Lol central to all of us I'm guessing is going to probably be somewhere like Birmingham - tends to have good rail links to everywhere. But I can't remember where we're all from - I know LauraL's put up our locations for those who shared it.

Oh thanks. I will definitely look into that then! I am exactly the same- it gets a bit embarrassing having to ask the in laws to stop every hour to put on more sun cream!

I can't wait to do the PADI! It was actually your stories that inspired me to go for it! Yay!

Also found this on P20's website:
P20 SPF 20 excludes 95%. A sun protection product with a SPF of 50 excludes 98%, demonstrating that the additional protection of higher SPF is marginal.

So basically P20 is roughly equivalent to SPF50 regular suncream. So if you usually wear factor 30 then P20 will easily be able to cope with your demands :)

I know exactly what you mean!! MrD's parents don't wear sun cream - in the first couple of years we were dating I got caught out big style. We were watching drag racing on the banks. It was a fluffy-cloudy day with quite a breeze - in fact it was cold so I kept my jacket on all day (thank god!). Anyway I didn't put any sun cream on (stupid - I know better than that - my father died of skin cancer), my face was so badly burnt it all swelled up like one giant puff-ball - it was horrible. So yea I do tend to slap the stuff on regularly lol. But I didn't fancy faffing about with it while we were away :D

Awww - you are so going to love the PADI course. Have you decided where to do your OW dives? It is amazing!! I was talking to JTR on the proposals thread about it :) I was very spoilt this Christmas - got some dive boots and a dive computer (I got some fins for my birthday as well) - I cannot wait to get in the water again and try it all out!!
  • Well we want to go to the Maldives for our honeymoon, and the island we are looking at is in the good dive bit and they have a dive school there. They do the open water dives so hopefully OH can get the time off work and we can go in October! I will be sooo bridezilla-esc if his work doesn't want him to have the time off!

:) Oh that will be amazing! Maldives is definitely on the places to see and dive :D
I got a book for Christmas of fish in the Red Sea - lol it's like a shopping list - cue me sat on Christmas Day reading out which ones I'd love to see on our honeymoon. The next sea creature I want to meet (and snap photos of) is a seahorse. :D Fingers crossed!!
