I had a lovely birthday - got some really lovely gifts - MrD got me The Girl With A Dragon Tattoo Triology box set - so guess what I'll be watching back to back on Sunday - CANNOT wait!!
Far too many people bought me chocolate though - I have cancelled the next box of Hotel Chocolat - but I am going to have to eat some so the pile isn't sat there tempting me lol. (What a rubbish excuse). The other great thing I was given is a dive rattle - you shake it and it rattles (obviously lol) so when we're underwater if I need to get MrD's attention in an emergency I can
Very happy indeed!!
The meal out was absolutely delicious!!
Oh today - I got a right bargain - popped to Asda in my lunch - I picked up 8 packets of 14 hayfever tablets. (I have been taking them since April when my hayfever started, stopped taking them mid-Oct as usual but I started sneezing, took another 14 days, stopped taking them and have started sneezing again - I must have changed something since April that I'm allergic too but because I have been taking the tablets I can't pin point what it is to stop using it lol). Anyway the tablets were 50p each - rolled back from 75p I think. Absolute bargain!! So I've got enough to keep me going till mid-march for £4 - Bargain!!
Oh I'm sat in a layby at the moment.Stuffing my face full of anything unhealthy lol.

Natalie Glad you had a good birthday- sounds like you got some fab presents aswell. Oh I may have to pop to asda and stock up on hayfever tablets- theres something in the air this time of year that really affects me- I dont tent to sneeze with hayfever and whatever this allergy is- I get really sore itchy eyes!!
Im still on the motorway! I did come off at the slip road last night and had a mince pie but I had been swimming and was peckish!
So far today ive had
porridge
banana
yoghurt drink
half a carton of veg soup (110 cals and I so full)
a cheese string (theres just something wrongly right about plastic cheese!!:rotfl:)
If I have a snack if will be a apple (and maybe 1 choc biscuit)
Dinner is at my uncles tonight and its chicken breast (im a fusspot and its the only meat on a chicken I touch!!), jacket spuds and salad so nice and healthy!!
Well my oh has been on a course all this week so ive been feeling mega. 3 sleeps down, 2 to go! Roll on Friday! (I have however made it my mission not to cook for myself this week until Friday, and thanks to good friends and family I have managed it)!!!:D

Same here. I started off so well today and then had a slice of carrot cake at lunchtime... so I didn't eat my lunch (the cake was more than enough calorie-wise) and now I'm having that 4pm energy dip... zzz.7 Feb 2012: 10st7lbs14 Feb: 10st4.5lbs

Lol well after the day I've had (with work colleagues snapping at me, and then an emotionally draining meeting this afternoon) I'm sat here eating Hotel Chocolat Caramel flavoured Milk Chocolate drops. YUM!0

Hi Ladies,
Aw MrsD, Wanchai I feel your pain! Haha!I have zero motivation for dieting right now - will need to pull my finger out soon as I'll be at the 8 month mark on Sunday!
So...I got my quote from the florist last night and it was a wee bit more than I thought... (probably about £700sih depending on how many button holes and corsages we need to order), but that includes
my bouquet (hand tied with lace and secured with a vintage brooch),
3 bridesmaid's bouquets,
1 flower girl bouquet,
2 pedestals in vintage planters for the aisle,
registrar table / top table display with mismatched crystal vases,
3 thank you bouquets,
about 6 - 8 button holes,
set up and delivery
and hire of the vases etc.
It does seem like a lot of money, but her ideas are amazing and the list of flowers she is thinking of using is just perfect - she just gets me and the look and feel I want for the day.
I think if I got another quote and it was a bit lower I would still want to pay the extra for this lady because her work is just amazing and flowers are really important to me. Am I mad?
I think I would rather make savings elsewhere so that I can have the flowers I want...
What do you think girls? Xx0 -
Personally I think if she 'gets you' and has captured your whole essence in the flowers - and you gel with her as a person you should go with her. There is MSE and there is cheap. You don't want to go with someone cheaper when you are actually getting less of a service. Remember you're paying for her professionalism etc as well as the flowers.
Does that help you justify the cost? It's like when you go to the hair dressers, yes you could get the same cut from the trainee as the lead professional, but the overall experience would be totally different.

Thanks Natalie - I don't even know why I'm trying to justify it to myself! Haha! I know it's what I want and if it means I have to save a bit more each month to afford it then that's what I'll do. I just wanted to check that it wasn't a crazy amount to spend!0

If you want the £700 lady, go with her!
We're spending £500, which is waaay more than I wanted, but the florist had a special offer package for £1,000 worth of flowers when I booked. He is doing:
2 bouquets
About 10 buttonholes
Pew ends
Altar displays
Candles in the church
Flowers at the entrance to the church (I'm borrowing my mum's old bike and he is going to cover it in flowers and fill the basket with them too - FAB)
Arrangements for my and OH's dads' graves
Bouquets for our mums
Flowers to decorate the cake
Reception flowers, centrepieces (which is going to be EPIC), candles, tea lights, birdcages etc etc etc etc
Site visits to church and reception venue
Set up and removal
Samples of the bouquets and buttonholes for me to keep
