    Hey everyone,
Thanks for all the opinions on the timings of the day - gonna do a bit of discussing, we've got a while yet before making a decision.
We ordered OH's wedding ring on Saturday, just a plain white gold band from goldsmiths so I have duly sent off £75 worth of Tesco vouchers to be converted! So we should be able to pick that up soon. Oh and I found mine (the bag with the ring box had fell down the back of the chest of drawers, oops! - really should take better care of things!)
So gutted that it's sunday, why are weekends so short?

I've had the same thought Mel - this weekend has gone FAR too quickly - but then I guess that just means Christmas will be here sooner :rotfl:.

Well this weeks sitting in a field eating crap while watching the rest of you on the motorway has resulted in a 1lb gain. Really... I am very pleased with that - it could have been sooo much worse. Today I am 10st1.
My goal. For Christmas I would like to be 9st10. By my first dress fitting in February(ish) I would like to be 9st6. By the wedding I would like to be 9st. It is all so do able. Whether I do it though is a different matter. :)
  • Damn that field sitting Natalie - should i be asking why you were in a field?!!!! You have been back on the motorway for a few meals now so well done its a realistic goal so good luck.

I not only veered off on a country road yesterday it was practically a dirt track with a big fat dead end! I had brie on fresh bread, cupcakes (note the plural!) and chicken pie yesterday. So i jumped back on it today and have crispbreads and cottage cheese for lunch today and absolutely no snacking other than fruit.

Wedding wise i did not get started on my button bracelet over the weekend as i was to busy eating! I have lots of little projects on the go at the moment so i really need to finish off my crafty xmas gifts i have started before i start the next one. I am making my friends felt brooches with buttons in the middle as little xmas gifts. But all the lovely pieces to make it are sat looking at me and i sooo know i will have to start it sooner rather than later as i am so impatient!!

Happy Birthday Natalie!!:j Hope you have a great day- and dont forget- birthdays are calorie free days!!:D

Well I was amazed when I weighed myself this morning! I have been well and truly on the country lanes all weekend, saturday I had a cheese and bacon burger and chips for lunch and a large bag of salted popcorn in the evening, yesterday I had a bag of niknaks for lunch then we had an indian takeaway for dinner so I had vegetable rice, lamb curry, a bit of keema naan and a large onion bhaji, I think my one good thing is I have walked sooooooooo much this weekend! We played 18 holes of golf yesterday and that was so much walking! So I lost 1lb!!

Im back on the motorway and beeping to the rest of you who are also on the motorway!! So far today ive had
    porridge
    banana
    fat free yoghurt drink
pasta and meatball soup (a convent garden on, and half a carton is only 160 cals which I thought was good)

Snacks will be an apple, fat free yoghurt, grapes.

Im going to my mums for dinner tonight and I think thats lasagne- so not great but I think as ive been good all day its ok! and it saves me cooking for myself!! Plus I think we are going swimming tonight aswell!

If I could lose another 5lb by new year that would be 7.5lb- I would be very very happy with that and my dress should fit, but Ill just see how I go for now, will see how the next few weeks go.

Melanie- your christmas presents sound fab!

LauraL- your pregnancy seems to have whizzed by (although it may not feel like that for you!!)

Mel- glad you found your ring.

Natalie- I seem to have the john lewis song in my head 24/7 at the mo!

Alice, you dress is going to look amazing when its done.

Happy birthday Natalie/MrsD!!!! Have a lovely day :A:bdaycake: And congrats on finishing your Christmas shopping, would you like to do mine too? :rotfl: That's great that your mum will be with you the morning of the wedding, oh it's all coming together!! :D

Sorry I've been AWOL all weekend. I'm in a pickle trying to decide between these dresses, and :o have made ANOTHER appointment with a new shop :o I know, I know!! My BM will kill me! :rotfl:

I also tried on this one, am really not keen on strapless dresses but it is gorgeous (massive skirt though ha ha).

Also Wanchai - I forgot to say, I set up the wedding website with gettingmarried.co.uk as it's free! I found it easy to use so far in case you wanted to give it a go. They also do paid packages too but the simple version was sufficient for all the information we wanted to include.

Ooooh, thanks a mill wxy, will check it out! :T:T:T Yes, we are having a vintage theme :) Can you show us pics of your dress yet? What embellishments are you thinking of having?

You prob did say but i'm very forgetful at the moment!! You are now on the list:D Love the dress - stunning. It is really hard to make a decision on the dress. Is there anyway your parents could help with the cost?

Only 10 more working days left at work and 6weeks until i'm due :)

My mum is already paying for the flowers :o I wouldn't ask for a contribution to it anyway, the BL one is £2,450 and that is just too much for a dress, honestly!!

Oooh, enjoy your last 2 working weeks and take it easy! :A

I am meeting up with my crafty friends this evening to finish off revamping a chair, and making some cushion covers, cannae wait! One of them has a really good dewing machine, she is brill at finishing off the stitching, I just cut the fabric to fit and she does the rest :D

I'm being good diet wise today, well, better than I have been:
    Breakfast: 2 boiled eggs
Lunch: cup-a-soup, 2 slices of toast and a tiny bit of goat's cheese
    Drinks: coffee and mint tea

No idea what dinner will be as I'll be grabbing it before/after my craft meetup. I also went swimming at lunchtime so am feeling virtuous. Although I am not that energetic a swimmer so probably don't burn much, must go to the gym/circuits class instead for a proper workout!

I've also bought a Groupon for personal training and bootcamp sessions, am so going to kick myself into shape!!!! I have failed to fit into several sample dresses which has really upset me. I've been engaged for 4 MONTHS and not lost a single pound, I could be down a stone by now easily if I'd put my mind to it :(

Oh - almost forgot - tried these shoes on in a shop on Sat, they are quite comfy compared to the other wedding shoes I've tried! :) They're a bit too 'bridal' for me tbh, would prefer something more individual and quirky, but I will keep them in mind. I'm a G width so need shoes that won't pinch the front of my foot!!!
