Thanks wanchai - that makes me feel better. I think if your list shows £1000 worth of flowers then £700 is actually ok for what we are getting. Well done on the discount!

He said that he was going to go all-out on the flowers, they will be EVERYWHERE, even in the toilet cubicles! :rotfl: He'll also tie a flower around the napkin at each place setting, provide flowers for our HM photobooth, and generally have them all round the place. The church flowers are going to be abundant - his word (and it is a big church).

Hello all
Sorry to bore on even more about my dress sagabut FutureCooper suggested that I ask wxy how much she thinks it would cost to make this dress in terms of materials and labour (I am asking a dressmaker to do it but we haven't met to discuss costs yet).
wxy, any advice/thoughts would really be appreciated!!

Well done on going to the gym at lunchtime Wanchai- I dont think I could do that at lunch- i would then want to curl up and snooze in the afternoon!! Oh when are you going to meet with a dress maker? I have a friend who made her wedding dress (well with her mum) and it was a such a stunning strapless lace dress, it was absolutely gorgeous.
Well im on the motorway, did come off at the slip road again yesterday and had a mince pie again and im going for a drive along the country lanes tonight as Im going to tgi fridays!!0 -
Mmmm mince pies!!
*whispers* I'm hoping to persuade MrD to have a chippy tonight... lol0 -
Thanks PinkPrincess83
I am very proud of myself
I'm back on the motorway!! Well, I'm going down the onslip towards it :rotfl:
Lunchtime is the only time I have to go to the gym tbh! I'm so busy most evenings. It's actually nice to take an hour out of the working day and just do some exercise. Normally for me it's swimming but, relaxing though it is, it ain't gonna shift 20lbs! I've been thinking of trying Zumba sometime. It looks like so much fun! Anyone tried it?
I can't believe how talented these girls are who make their own dresses!!! It's amazing.7 Feb 2012: 10st7lbs14 Feb: 10st4.5lbs

Swimming most certainly can help you lose weight. But it must be out-of-breath swimming rather than a leisurely chit chat pace. When I am a good girl and used to swim a lot I would set little challenges like how fast I could swim two lengths, have a very short break, then see if I could beat it. I'd also challenge my stamina and see if I could beat my personal best time for swimming a mile. Also changing strokes helps, front crawl knackers me!!

34 more Fridays!!!
Now i have guilt as i haven't been near a gym or swimming pool for weeks. Its not my thing at the best of times but i had started Aquafit and loved it but been so much going on at work and home lately i have missed the whole of November. So i am planning on going back next week.
I have had a leisurely country drive all week and i'm out for Indian tonight and a shopping day in Cambridge with my best friend tomorrow which will include cake!! I will be very lucky if i get to stay the same this week, i feel a gain coming ononly myself to blame and my really bad driving!! Get on that motorway Melanie and put your damn foot done.
Anybody doing anything wedding like this weekend?? Is it this weekend that Wanchai is taking her mum to see the dresses? (note the plural :rotfl:) i'm just worried that her mum might not like any and Wanchai has start looking again!!! Only kidding the right one will jump at you or the right seamstress will.0 -
Yay! 34 more fridays for me too then Melanie! OH and I are having our engagement shoot on Sunday :j It was complimentary with our photography package! I'm quite excited, but also a bit worried as it is absolutely P-ing it down and blowing a gale in 'sunny' Scotland today and our photoshoot is outdoors - in the botanic gardens
Ah well, we will make the best of it anyway!
So that's my weddingy stuff - What about the rest of you? x0
