    Hi all

Sorry I've been AWOL the last few days!!!! Still no decision on the dress! I am taking my mum to a couple of shops this weekend, and meeting the dressmaker next week for a chat. I probably should get a move on! I also tried on the Monsoon dress again - it really is lovely, and I am thinking of just wearing it and not even going down the 'wedding dress shop' route. I'd need to get the front altered as it is a bit low cut. It's not my 'dream' dress, but then is there really such a thing for everyone? Has anyone settled for the nicest dress they saw rather than searching for perfection?? :o

I have given out a few of my STD magnets, they have been very well received :D

Ooooh more research and shopping!! My favourite kind of weddingy thing.

I have done nothing weddingy for me however i have made a start on another button bouquet. A new bridal shop has opened in our little town selling pre owned gowns and BM dresses. She has a table in their with business cards for other local businesses that are wedding related like Florists, Cake makers etc and she has offered to have a sample button bouquet on the table!! How good is that?!! So i am now looking at getting some business cards printed through Vistaprint. I have just got myself a new email address just for the bouquets - lovethosebuttons@ etc. Fingers crossed I can just get an order or 2, it will all help towards the wedding fund. Its not costing a lot to give it go. Just the cost of a few business cards and another £10 worth of buttons.

I might as well shout about my country driving again! I reckon i have gone so far off track i'm stuck in the mud now. I can literally smell Xmas yet i can't seem to get myself into healthy mode ready for the boozy nights out and the 3 course dinners I have coming up in the next few weeks.

FutureCooper, that is fab news about the bouquets, yay!!! :)

I'm on the country lanes too - had a VERY bad weekend foodwise. I thought 'right, that's it' last night, started having a major declutter in the hope that it will spur me on to eat better. The house is so cluttered - I am a terrible hoarder and can never seem to throw anything away. It has to stop! I must throw things out/give them to the charity shop.

I threw a load of stuff out last weekend that has sat in the Garage since i moved in with H2B 12 months ago. I felt very pleased with myself when i saw it sat in the window of the local charity shop on Sunday!

So the annual de clutter in my house has begun. I am being very strict . . . every year i go through the house and if I haven't used it, it goes to charity or friends. It very cleansing and rewarding.
  • Hey everyone!

Ive been on the country lanes for the last few days. oh is away again this week and ive had 2 bad days at work- i think im just taking things to heart and am so tired and drained and so ive been eating naughty- its the next best thing to cuddles from my oh!!

Melanie- thats fab news about the button bouquet interest.

Natalie- yay something to research- im taking it you will do the research!!:D

I havent done anything wedding related, i really cant think of anything I can do at the mo!!

Oh well I did go to bookers yesterday to get prices of tubs of sweets for my sweetie table- I think my estimates will be about right which is good!
  • Right ladies, how does Vistaprint work????

I have designed some business cards today to go with my button bouquet. This afternoon it read 80% off at £2.99 for 250 premium cards but tonight when I showed H2B my design and it had gone up to £5.50! Should i wait? will it go down again? I've never used it before can you tell!!

Erm, I can't say as I only looked at two shops. In my mind my dress is the dream dress... but I saw it, fell in love, and ordered it. I haven't carried on looking 'just in case'. There may be a better dress out there that I don't know of, but to be honest I don't care. The dress I've ordered is an amazing dress and I cannot wait to wear it. To me that is what matters :) not whether I have the best dress. If that makes sense.

Not a case of 'changing' his mind - more 'making up' his mind. Until now he's been undecided. Now he has to decide what colour, what metal, (I'm hoping for a silvery colour so we can go down the tungsten type cheaper metals lol), what thickness, what shape, and what width band he would like. It does make me really happy though that he wants to have a wedding ring (he did say even if he then puts it on his chain). In my mind it goes another step to show that he really is keen to marry me and isn't just going through the motions because I nagged him into it lol.

Absolutely - but I have to give him space to make his own mind up lol. Although I went straight onto some websites yesterday lol. I have told him that it'd be best if he gets an idea before Christmas so if there is any January sales on we can make the most of them.
she has offered to have a sample button bouquet on the table!!
    :T Brilliant!!

This is what I'm doing - with my one room a week spring clean - I am using it as a chance to just get rid :) I absolutely agree it is very cleansing. And so far more importantly we've managed to keep the level of tidy up since I've started - adding one room to the amount to keep tidy each week seems to be working. I have 2 more rooms left to blitz - the ensuite/bathroom and my office - that is a biggy lol. Then I will clean the inside of the windows - then I'm ready for Christmas hurrah!!

PS I'm still on the motorway and hiding from myself... although MrD is VERY late home tonight - he's at his mums tut tut, so god knows if I will be arsed to cook when he eventually gets home or whether it'll be 'sod it' and eat something crap! i.e. a take away!
  • Grrrr- I was just going to take some photos and load them on- before doing this checked I had the right lead and typical i think oh must have it in his laptop case- which he has with him!! I will take the photos so they are ready to load and will try and load them at the weekend.

Natalie- im whispering as you are, I wouldnt want to knock you of track- well done for being on the motorway.:)

Melanie- I find that sometimes just going in and out the cart a couple of times can alter the cost, or I did find if I went back to the start they would show as a cheaper price, so I would remake them, put them in my cart and order them. Ive just had a look and for me 250 premium shows as £2.99. You do have to be careful not to alter the designs too much as it can add to the price.
