  • Evening.

Well its been a mixed day today- im coming down with a cold so feeling a bit drained, I picked up the wrong wrap for lunch, wanted chicken, got duck- which I dont eat so swapped it for a big bag of malteasers- whoops, such a naughty lunch! Eating healthy hasnt been great this week, work are tight and have refused to put the heating on all week so its been freezing- they went to put it on this afternoon and typically the heating in out building wont work, and then one good thing is I have my new phone!!:D

:rotfl:at all the tabs for various spreadsheets you have Natalie!

Oh Tracey, so sorry to hear about your Nan. Thats lovely though that she helped choose babies name. One set of my grandparents arent here anymore, and as I was so close to them I have a little photo charm im going to attach to my bouquet with a little picture of them in.

I do love my spreadsheet - I do randomly open it up just to have a gander :) I will miss it this time next year when I don't have it sat on my desktop anymore!

Natalie- why do I have a feeling it will still be opened every now and then after the wedding! Or there will be a new reason for you to start a new spreadsheet!

Oh and going back to tables, I think it depends on the room layout, size etc and what suits you and your guests.

I think we will do our round tables set out like a u shape- with ours being in the centre at the top (I did try a diagram but it wouldnt work!!)

Ok Ill try again (ignore the dots but it should give you an idea!!)

    .......O
    O.............O
    O.............O
    O.............O

That way most people will still be able to see whats going on for the speeches. And ill put my Stepdad on the next closest table. I did start to do rough seating plan the other day (based on if everyone was coming)- Its not easy!! I had a couple of people I have no idea who to sit them with!!:rotfl:. Im laughing about it at the mo, but come next July I may be stressed and crying!!!

Argh after worrying all week about a cold I had Mark has just taken to bed feeling like he's either going to throw up or poo himself (lol too much info?) I can't dive with a cold (would make the equalising a bit of a problem), and Mark most certainly can't dive if he feels like this :(. Luckily I've gotten over my cold - just a bit phlemy but all airways are clear. But I'm really worried that this may mean he can't dive with me, and may not complete his qualification while we're out there. (I'm not even entertaining the thought that he might not be well enough to go!!) ARGH!

Emma hope you start to feel better soon. I think i get the idea of your wedding table layout. I havn't even attempted to do the table layout i just know i will get stressed. Will start it next year!

Natalie love the spreadsheet!!:rotfl:. Oh no hope Mark starts to feel better soon and you manage to both dive.

The good news is - he threw up around 2:30 and feels a lot better - he has managed to have some beans on toast (lol not my suggestion) and keep them down so we're hopeful :)

That is brilliant Laura - that you have the suits done!! This is really the only major thing left for us to sort out - well I say us... I mean MrD and his mum ha!

Right I don't know if I'll be on again later tonight - I need to get some sleep before we have to get up at 3am. I hope you all have a lovely week and I'll be back with holiday snaps on Friday :)

    Have a lovely time Natalie:D
  • Natalie- fingers crossed Mark is how, how typically annoy bad timing is it though for him to feel ill, hopefully now hes been sick and kept food down he will be ok. When do you actually start diving? Hope you have a lovely holiday.

LauraL- oh fab news about the suits- are you hiring or buying them? Oh and thats good news that someone is going to buy you little ones dress. Im feeling ok at the mo, so hopefully its not going to turn into a full blown horrible cold.

Well Ive been helping my mum a bit today as she was doing the food for her friends wedding reception (feeding about 100 people)! it did make me feel glad she isnt doing the food for ours- she has a habit of doing way too much food! I have also bought back to my house a couple of plain invites so I can do some mock ups to decide what I want, I think I wont do my original plan of the cut out butterflies to show the pink inserts- the pink for the inserts is too different to the ribbon so I was thinking I would do pink ribbon and then use the little pink flower gems I got for my name cards and then order some more for my name cards. Or I need to buy a different colour ribbon or different coloured inserts!!

Can't wait to see your invites when I get back Emma!!

    The plan is:
Sunday - arrive at Tenerife around 11:20, go to the apartment, unload all our baggage, explore the area, and possibly have a bit of a dip in the sea.
    Monday - begin diving.
    Tuesday - diving.
    Wednesday - finish the course.
Thursday - an extra day - now this may need using depending on whether we both pass all the skills in the last three days. But if not I have been contemplating seeing if the dive school have any planned dives for this day and whether we could tag along all qualified and everything. This would then be 1 or 2 extra dives under our belts ready for taking on the Red Sea.
Friday - flight leaves at around 11:40.
It is going to be hectic. In the three days we have 4 confined water dives (in a swimming pool), and 4 open water dives (in the sea). I think they plan to do all the confined water dives in day 1, and then two days of 2 open water dives each day. I CANNOT wait. I have even played around with filling the snorkel up with water from the kitchen tap (while the snorkel was in my gob) and blowing it out. Ha! Got water everywhere.
I've nearly finished packing - I got us 2 x 20Kg hold baggage and 1 x 10kg cabin baggage allowance - and so far we're around 25Kg in total - I'm sat thinking ooo what else can I take!! Ha!!! Knew we should have bought some fins, gloves and boots while we were spending hahaha!!

This holiday is actually costing us around £2400.
  • Question about my invites- do you think it will be ok to still use the pink insert as long as you cant see it from the front? I was thinking if I use the ribbons and stickers on the front as they are the same colour and then use the insert in the middle with all the details on (these will go through the printer much easier than my invites plus they will cover up the ribbon on the inside) it would be ok- any opinions on this???

Oh you will be busy Natalie! At least youll then have the weekend to recharge your batteries. (and maybe start looking into and planning the honeymoon!!):D
