Tracey- congratulations on having a little boy.
I have just ordered my RSVPs and my evening invites on vistaprint, worked out £12 including postage. Thats another thing of the tick list, think we will need to make about 25 day invites and that them all done!!
I will wait until I find out how much i can get them made for and if they are too much Ill go searching for the thread.
Hope your cold goes by your holiday, bet your counting wake ups or sleeps arent you!?
Oh and my chief bridesmaid liked her shoes and they fit so thats another thing sorted.0 -
I am in a way - but not in another - work is typically busy so really I'm just focussing on up to Wednesday (I have two days training Thurs & Fri). Am going through all our clothes though - making sure everything is washed.
I have packed two plastic bowls and cups so we can buy cereals and squash for breakfast.Lol I will not let this holiday damage my diet!! (Mmm lol we'll see how long that lasts for!)

Congrats Tracey on it being a baby boy! So much nicer as teenagers than girls . . . i speak from experience haha.
Like your thinking Natalie on taking a bowl and cup, damage limitation i wish i had thought of that on my holiday . . . breakfast gets me everytime!
Emma - sweetie tree thoughts. By looking at the lovely picture i think its a polystyrene ball with the sweeties attached using bits of cocktail sticks. Then scewer the 'ball of sweets' onto a chopstick or similar and then place in a glass. There is probably oasis in the bottom of the glass to hold it upright and sturdy. You could use allsorts of sweets to make yours as long as you can stick a cocktail stick in them it should work . . . . i'm thinking Jelly Babies, licquorice allsorts, haribo gummy sweets etc. Mmmm now i want sweets and its only just breakfast time!!! Give it a go and post a picture. I'm still toying with the idea of a sweetie table. There wasn't the room in the last venue but theres loads of room in this one so i may ask the Hotel when i visit next week and double check it as an option.0 -
Melanie- I was thinking it may be something like that. oh these all look fab

Emma :j for ordering your rsvps and evening invites and good price too! glad your cheif bridesmaid like her shoes and they fit!
I want one of them sweet tress just for myself. I love sweets!
Melaine saw your pic of your pom pom on Fb and think they look fab
Alice :j for booking the photographer. Love your blog
weclome back wanchai. You've done alot already so don't panic theres still plenty of time! What date are you getting married i don't seem to have you on the list?
Natalie dont long now until Half term - i've had two colds this term as well. I'm booked in to have my flu jab soon so hopefully want suffer to must from colds/flu this year.
Finally got a plan re wedding invites. I've asked my sister MIL2B if would make them (as she makes cards and made my sisters invites and they we lovely) so will be meeting up her soon and will show the sort of idea i came up with. I don't think she will charge me too much either which is good:)OH is happy for her to do the invites, i think he could see that i was starting to get stressed/worried about the invites0 -
LauraL- haha, I love the fact your setting the babies up before they are born.!!:rotfl:
I found a sweet treed thread on the yuletide board so will have a proper read if I decide to attempt to make one- theres a lollipop one that looks fab.
Glad youve sorted out your invites, theres no point in stressing yourself out, I reckon we only need to make about 25 now, whereas before I ordered vistaprint evening ones it would have been about 60 to make.
Oh and I keep meaning to ask for opinions- I want asti for my toast, and wanted martini asti but it depends on cost- its on offer for £5 a bottle at the mo in Morrisons (Usually £7.50)- do you think I should just get it now or do think I should wait and see if its on offer at christmas???0 -
I *think* I read somewhere on MSE that any alcohol discounts at Christmas tend to be artificial ones - i.e. price increase before then discounted so they are actually the same price. I think my advice would be if you see what you want now for a reasonable price buy it now... but then stop looking at how much it costs lol just incase it drops! Ha!! BUT that being said - you could wait till Christmas see if it's cheaper than £5 - if it is, buy it. If it isn't wait till it becomes £5 again - there is loads of time after Christmas to buy it
Lol don't know if that helps!! I have all my wine apart from 12 bottles of Echo Falls Pinot Grigio which I had planned on getting cause it matches all the others I've got (Echo Falls) but it's out of stock everywhere!

Well Ill have a chat with oh and see what he thinks, I would quite like to get it now as that would be another done and paid for, but ill see what he thinks. I dont think the asti will come down much less than a fiver a bottle for martini branded so may just get it- I take it it would last wouldnt it? (I mean date wise, not me drinking it all!!:rotfl:). I know some people say processco (or whatever its called) is nice but ive decided its my day so Ill get what I like (and if no one drinks it more for me!!:rotfl:.)0

I would imagine it'd be ok. Just looked at tesco wines - usually they have 'drink within so many months of purchase' but they haven't got it on the martini asti - lol typical - they also have it for £7.11 a bottle so £5 is a bargain!0

Its your day so get what you like! My motto exactly . . . thats why i have decided to have Pimms as my 'on arrival' drink. I love it and its a Summer wedding after all.
I would buy at least half of the Asti now if its on offer and wait and see what happens after Xmas price wise. Bear in mind though, absolutely everything is going up in price at the moment i can't see it taking a massive dip in price in the near future. I'm buying what i can now to spread the cost a little. I am looking for wrapped individual chocolates to go in my favour bags and I am hoping i'll get some in the post Xmas sale.
Although i have done nothing new wedding wise I now have a new B2B to share all the excitement with. My H2B's best friend got engaged on Sunday and they are planning a September 2012 wedding!! So i have someone new to share all my bridal magazines with. :rotfl:0
