I considered getting MrD to make me a giant jenga - but he said the wood would cost more than £20 - which is the rough price I've seen for them.

Oh Natalie - I'm loving your traffic light system! It's wonderful! Maybe I'll steal it when I've done a few more things...
Laura - thank you for adding me to your list :j
Melanie - I'm so pleased that you like the new venue0 -

Absolutely love the lists - I am such a list person and i no longer feel alone!!! :rotfl:
I will be definetly following your lists and the thought of what is still to be done is scary. However i spent the night wide awake with excitement of our new venue and this is where you future brides and your amazing ideas get to help me please . . . . . The function room is huge. It has 3 sections. The band will be in one area (so no need to decorate that) but the huge dance area and bar/snug area lack any colour and i think i will need to decorate somehow. So over to you for ideas. The room has a high ceiling with a few beams. There is windows on both sides and patio doors. I don't imagine we can have candles because of the beems and curtains etc. My first thought is putting the decorated cans and jam jars of flowers from the wedding breakfast on to the snug tables and maybe have extra done for all the windowsills and possibly for the tables out on the patio area.
All ideas and suggestions are greatfully accepted!
I have my diet head back on today after the last 10 days messing about. Had a good day yesterday and i plan to be an :A from now, all but the dinner party we are going to on Saturday night! But i get to drive so i can say no to wine.0 -

Hi Mel, the tins and jars idea sounds fab, at a wedding fair they can tins with flowers in and a ribbon around it- it looked fab. How about tea cups and tea pots with flowers- looks fab and vintagey. Ill have a think for more ideas.
Jemb- Im so jealous you have under 200 days till your wedding!0 -
Had a few thoughts for decorating the function room . . . Paper pom poms hanging from the beams. Got to check when we see the co ordinator in 2 weeks if were allowed. So I have made a couple to see if I can make them, and I have stuck them on top of a bamboo stick and stuck it in a covered can. I'm thinking of this for all patio tables outside and window sills etc. Total cost about 35p each. Going to wrap a thin ribbon around the 'stem' to finish it off. Ive put a pic on Facebook.0

Melanie- the photo of the pom pom youve put on facebook looks fab. Really looks effective, and you would think they cost so much more than 35p.
Well Ive decided on my centrepieces. Im having tall lily vases with 3 pink roses in each with some long grass, and mil2b is going to wrap the stems in pink ribbon and they will be on a mirror plate with some scatter crystals. So thats another thing off the tick list!! Mil2b is goingto be very busy when she starts making everything!0 -
Photographer booked! well actually 2 photographers! another thing ticked off the list :j0
