Hi all,
OMG at the expence of that wedding you looked at! No chance! And I agree, dunno how people could possibly justify to themselves about spending over 20k on a single day... A girl who works with my OH has spent £10,000 on her dress - and wait for it - IT'S HIRED!!! So she doesn't even get to keep it afterwards! Pathetic really if you ask me.
Is that you in the photo there MrsD? I have a gap in my front teeth too! I don't know anyone else who has apart from Madonna :rotfl:
I am trying to grow my hair at the minute, I've had it in a chin length bob for a year or so (similar to Dannii Minogue) but before that it was down to my lower back (yes it was a MAJOR haircut! the amount of hair on the floor was ridiculous!) I want to get it to a nice mid length so I can have a few options with what to do with it, I can always lop it back off again if nothing works!
I have two pregnant friends at the mo. Crazy people! Can't see the attraction myself, seems like far too much effort and you have to spend all day pandering to a baby's every whim? No thanks!:rotfl: My best mate is very maternal and she's said she wants to be preg by the end of the year if they have enough money... - is it really bridezilla-ish of me to hope she holds off for a little while, I want to be able to get p*ssed with her at my wedding!
xxThs signature is out of date because I'm too lazy to update it...0 -

Yep that is me - it was taken at the Slimmer Of The Year competition 1.5 years ago. Love my gap lol - as a kid I used to be able to fit a fat McDonalds straw in it so I could suck my drinks without opening my mouth. Lol.

Natalie- i think a flower would look lovely with the curls (which look fab in that picture)- i was thinking of going for a flower as its very me (i quite often accessorise with a flower in my hair) but thats why as ive decided against it- I think it would be nice to go for something a bit different. I think thats why i love the side tiaras so much though- cos im used to having something on the right side of my hair!!
£10000 on hiring a dress:eek:! It must be some dress!!
I get bored of my hair so tend to grow it, get it cut to my shoulder then grow it again. I think i will grow it a little bit for the wedding- just so theres more options- but my hair grows so quickly i have plenty of time!!0 -
Lol I used to be the same with my hair - grow it, get bored, chop it. But I've had the same length (just different choppy bits) for a good couple of years now
Yay it's the weekend!! Only 5 more weeks till Easter! (Lol not that I'm counting down or anything!).0 -
Im so glad its the weekend! Work has been quite hectic this week- and i know monday will be even worse so ill be making the most of this weekend.
I would never have guessed your counting!!:) Does that mean 2 weeks of wedding things??0 -
Lol the sad thing is I'm running out of things I can plan! Really the next stage is the buying of things. (Which I started with the cake stand and writable CDs). But I can't buy things until I've found a dress so I know if I'm having white or ivory. During Easter I will be writing another OU assignment (3 more to go woo hoo). I am hoping on finding a wetsuit and bits for diving during Easter hols.
This weekend I'm off to visit my Chief-Bridesmaid-If-I-Was-Having-One, and we're off to see Hairspray the musical at Nottingham. Very excited!!0 -
I feel a bit like ive hit a brick wall at the mo and there isnt much I can do- really there is but it isnt the pretty nice bits- its the things like the food, the car (i have a maybe for that) the dj etc.
Will be happier when the prices for next years holidays are available so I can start looking more into the honeymoon!
Oh hope you have a fab time- i bet it will be great. I have the baby shower tomorrow then I think on sunday me and my mum and little sister are going to the range and then hooby craft just to get some ideas for invites- i think ill leave my mum in charge of the invites as she is desperate to do something for the wedding!!0 -
oooo honeymoon browsing - have you any ideas where you'd like to go?
That'll be nice for your mum to have something to do towards the wedding0 -
No, not really, just somewhere hot and relaxing. And also possibly an adults only hotel as its the school holidays- and i dont want to spend my time around loads of children (nothing against kids but its not my idea of relaxtion!!) I dont really mind where we go as its been so long since our last proper holiday!! Where are you looking at going for yours? (you may have said but I cant remember and theres way too many posts now for me to look through!! hehe)!!
She is desperate to do something so this should keep her occupied for a while!!0 -
Well I'm not entirely sure where we'll go. MrD has suggested the likes of Thailand/Australia, but I'm not sure we could afford it - both in terms of money to go, and time off work for him. As long as it's somewhere nice and hot with lovely fish to watch as we dive I'll be happy. I have been pondering over the Red Sea but at that time of year I'm not sure whether I could stand the heat! Lol there is only so much heat I can handle before I melt!
I *could* start researching prices for wetsuits but I have a feeling they are like wedding dresses - you can spend as much or as little as you like.0
