Oh PS I've had one reply back from my emails yesterday about hiring some plastic chairs - they can do 20 chairs for 3 days hire for £30. I've just emailed them back to see how much delivery and collection of them would be. Thinking though - really we'd only need them for 2 days - as long as they could guarentee delivery before say 4pm on the Saturday that'd give us time to get them in the garden, and then they could collect them on the Sunday - will ask about that in my next email.

*edit also they are only 20 mins drive away so I'm wondering whether MrD could collect them in his works van - tight cow that I am!*

    Good morning everyone!
Well I have just ordered our cake stand - a square 5 tiered stand by Classikool off ebay for £19.94. (I will then sell this afterwards). I have also ordered 50 Writable CDs (hopefully will only need 30 of them) for £5.49, again off ebay. :) Bargain! This also means out of my invite/thank you card/photography budget (cause I'm sending the CDs out with my thank you cards) I have just under £50 left, and the card etc is only going to come to around £15. :D I will treat myself to some new blades for my craft knife with the change.

    Hi all,

nothing new with me, well done on all your getting it together though you are making very good progress! Making me feel extremely disorganised!

I think once the church licence thing comes through and venue are booked I'll start bothering about the rest of it. Don't wanna go dress shopping till the summer though really, need a bit of time to save up and lose weight haha. We are going to meet with the pub next Weds though and will probably put the deposit down then. Still no news about their extension though but never mind, it's *just* big enough without and it'll be a bonus if we have more space! Only problem will be if it's a building site on the wedding day, but to be honest as long as it can still go ahead I don't mind a few cranes and stuff!

I like the photobooth idea, quite a good one! I went to a party once where they had put cameras in the ladies toilets with a note saying "don't forget to take a piccy after you've applied your lippy!" There were some quite good girly group shots on that one but I think at the time I was a bit freaked out by the fact there was a camera in the toilet - I think all the pics must have been used up by the time people were drunk enough to think about taking other types of pics... :rotfl:

I met my bloke on holiday in Skegness on a very drunken night out... me and my mate wanted to go abroad somewhere but couldn't get a late deal so went camping in Skeggy instead :p he was working in one of the bars there.

I'm actually surprised it went anywhere because all I can remember of that holiday was me and my mate getting through a litre bottle of vodka each every night  and me getting horrendously sunburned legs after sitting for 5 minutes on a cloudy beach on the last day :o so much so that as I was driving home the skin on my ankles was tearing as I moved my feet on the pedals! I can feel the pain now!

    Good times lol!

    xx

:) Love reading about how you met - blimey Mel I was wincing reading about your sun burn.

Sounds like the three of us all met in unlikely circumstances. I was on a night out in Lincoln - home for the summer between my 1st and 2nd year at uni. MrD and a group of his mates were 'touring' the local towns and it was Lincoln's turn. He felt poorly so he wasn't drinking. Me on the other hand was completely wrecked lol. Anyway our eyes met across the dance floor (him stood on the edge - me on the stage lol - ooops!) A lot of sly smiling followed. Then he went to the loo... at this point I was gutted lol in my drunked mind he had left the nightclub - even though his friends were still there, so I stormed over to them and demanded to know where he'd gone... they told me, I went back to the stage and carried on dancing. He came back to his friends, they told him, and I walked over to kiss him. But he is a gentleman and wouldn't let me kiss him without knowing my name... in the conversation that followed he told me where he lived (30 mins drive away from me in Louth), which turned me off. (I didn't drive and I didn't want the hassle) but he asked for my phone number. That was on the Saturday, he phoned me on the Tuesday, we met up two weeks later, and the rest is history. Scarily I was 19. When I think back to how young I was at 19, it freaks me out that I met The One so young!! We'll have been together exactly 13 years when we get married. :)

Emma, I'll let you know how the cake stand goes - I plan on cutting out 60 5cm squares of paper and seeing if I can fit them all on the cake stand in an organised kinda way so it looks good. :) Fingers crossed it'll be fine!

Haha funny how things turn out! You always imagine meeting 'the one' in some soft focus, tweeting birds, rose petals, eyes meet across a crowded room type thing - our our cases it seems more like the soft focus was the booze blurring our vision haha!
