Lol I know!! And that is a 'cheap and cheerful' place down the road, not the posh Best Western on the other side of town!! (Whose packages start from £3995 during the summer months... lol although they have a proviso that that package is not available on a Saturday aka big bucks!!)
Make's me very grateful for what we will be able to put on for our guests, and actually how much more personal and intimate it will be. :) But then we're more like house party hosts rather than bride and groom during that evening. (I suspect we'll be busy doing random things like opening the next bottles of wine, making sure there is enough loo rolls on display, taking photos of everyone, mingling etc). Lol funnily I just asked MrD if he wanted a disco. His response was near immediate - NO! Lol.

It is crazy how expensive things can be. DId you see the post on here that has a link saying the average wedding these days is 21k. 21k:eek::eek::eek:! I couldnt even spend half that.

We are having a disco but my oh has put his foot down and is insisting it cant be a night full of cheese! So now i need to find a dj who will play exactly what we want (including quite a bit of indie!!)

Heh heh I probably could spend £21K - very easily lol. But I wouldn't want to. :)

To be fair - we wouldn't have room in our garden for a disco. We're just going to have our music streaming around the place - lol I am tempted to fill the iPod with loads of Sclub 7 and Steps Hhahaha!!

I couldnt- i would be thinking 'i could buy myself a brand new car' or that would be a nice chunk off the mortgage- i think im far too sensible!!

Well my day off has been no where near as wedding related as I thought it would be- in fact I think the only wedding thing i looked at was some tiaras in debenhams when I went shopping! My day off has been nice though, i had a catch up with my best friend who is due to pop soon so we were arranging her baby shower!

Lol I was just thinking I should ask what weddingy things you've done today!

Was there any nice tiaras? Lol I bet the answer is 'not as nice as the glitzy one' :).

You can't beat a catch up with friends!! How long before she is due? How exciting - a baby shower! Is it her first?

They were ok- but youve guessed correctly- not as nice as the glitzy one. I think im going to treat myself to it once ive had the opinion from the person doing my hair- i wouldnt want to get it to find it would look right with how i want my hair!!

about 3 weeks I think- so we just have to hope it doesnt make an appearance before the baby shower. She has one already, a boy.

:) Does she know what this one is? Lol will she have a matching pair?

(Do any of you have kiddie winks?)

Lol I am very impressed - if it was me I'd be buying it now and working my hair around it lol.

I haven't even looked at tiaras yet. Not sure what style would be best as want hair down and curled.
I don't have any kids but I also have a friend due in three weeks time, and she already has a little boy. She knows the sex but wont tell anyone as wants it to be a surprise. xx

Nope she doesnt know so it will be lovely suprise.

I dont have any, and dont plan on any for a few more years yet.

Well i want my hair up, so just need to make sure that would be ok- plus I may have to wait a month or so until I actually have some money:rotfl:. i do keep looking it it though and everytime i see it I think wow i love that one so I think it will take a lot for me to find anything that will change my mind!!!

Im looking on pda crafts at the mo- i have no idea really what style im going for but am trying to get some inspiration!!

I'm going to have my hair down I think with my curls done all curly... (like this photo of me)... but I will probably have red hair :) (It's a deep red with cherry red streaks at the moment).

So I'm not sure whether I'll have a hair band of some sort (lol in my eyes that sounds less girly/princessy than 'tiara'), I was thinking of perhaps wearing some sort of flower in my hair but not sure.

I'm really impressed with PDA - they are very quick to post out. :)
