- LauraR - what a mess about. LastMinute did a similar thing to our engagement holiday earlier this year! I rang the hotel direct in the end (Antigua!!) and they sorted our booking and made the alterations and made a note it was an engagement holiday, so when we arrived they upgraded us to a seaview balcony huuuge room! Well worth the cost of the phone call. Kick butt

Not really done anything wedding like this week however i have had a few thoughts on how to design my menu and name cards. Now i have a theme and colour (BM dress deep purple to match the venues Lilac, hahaha) i have decided not to match my menu cards, name places and seating plan to the Invitations i have had printed already. The day invites are a coffee and cream colour and will have buttons and ribbon on them to tie in. I have therefore decided *i think* on having lilac and pink table colours. Lilac and pink flowers in jam jars, pink candy striped favor bags and then mount pink and lilac patterned paper onto card for each guests menu choice. This will double up as their place card too. I'm thinking each patterned paper i use should be diffrent. We have a great local craft store within an Antiques centre and she sells it by the sheet.

Anyone want to throw some ideas in please do!! All help greatly received :rotfl:

I might have to do a mock up over the weekend for something to do and then i can post a pic. Mind you this will have to be a last minute job as i won't have guests menu choices until 10 days prior.

wanchai - I agree with the other brides, message the photographers and ask for the date and a quote.

I had mine recommended and although she does do traditional shots i showed her all the sites of photographers styles i really like (they are exactly yours btw!) she got all excited as she had wanted to branch more into that style. I had a bit of a Bridezilla list of must haves and must nots and I am confident after meeting her she will run to that. She was very keen to use my style and thoughts of pictures and we email shots and ideas back and forth!!! After all you are paying them for a service and they have to deliver what you request and only by meeting them will you know if your on the same wavelength. My advice would be- you will know when you have found 'the one' bit like finding your H2B really!!

laurarobby - what a nightmare!! Hope you get it sorted and they are honest about the content of your call. They should have another member of staff listen to it as well imho. Good luck xx

Photos - I want one photo of the whole family after the wedding. I want one photo of MrD and me stood in the street with Louth's St James' Church Spire in the background. I want a photo of MrD looking all nervous at the top of the aisle waiting for me. I want a close up of our hands, and one of the first kiss. But other than that I just want loads of action reportage style shots

LauraR - oh that is sooo pants about the hotel being messed up!! Really hope you manage to get it sorted out. I don't know where you stand in terms of asking to hear the recording of the telephone call, perhaps if they come back with an unacceptable response you could try citizen's advice bureau.

Melanie - yep definitely you must do a mock up this weekend and share it!!

well she called back and snottily said. "it has all be changed over for you now and you will recieve the ammended tickets via email within the next hour" i just said thank you and goodbye!!! snooty cow! to right. hehe im happy again now

iv lost another 1lb so that 7lb in 2.5weeks now

I attempted to make some cakepops today they looked terrible but OH and Robby seam to like them x

It takes so long to catch up with everything that has been said. So will just make some comments

For my photographer we looked for someone who would do the formal shots but also had some informal shots in their profile as we were looking for a bit of both.

I am starting to freak out a little bit about fitting in to my wedding dress. I will have about four months to lose the baby weight and from what I can tell I have put on 7lb in 16 weeks.

LauraR - great news that they've changed the booking for you!! Lol that is often the case with cake (well atleast when I bake them) they can look awful but still taste great!

Tracey - me too - lol and I don't have the excuse of a baby!! But that still doesn't seem to stop me from eating crap!!
