For my photographer we looked for someone who would do the formal shots but also had some informal shots in their profile as we were looking for a bit of both.

thats not a bad weight gain! with Robby i put on 5st nearly!! with logan i lost 3 and put 2back on! i lost 1st soon as logan was born! it will be fine! x

If you like the photos and the prices are reasonable then go for it! Don't people sometimes have a mini photoshoot first to get to know the photographer, perhaps you could have one of those to make sure it's what you are after?

I don't really like that style of photos myself but they look good quality and well done, and she's managed to capture all the people looking relaxed which is always a good sign! It's never good if everyone looks a bit awkward in the pictures!

Glad you got the tickets sorted out Laura, must have been a heart stopping moment when they have first said they were wrong :eek:

I probably won't be on much this weekend so I'll catch up next week at some point!

Wanchai again my advice would be not to decide on a photographer soley on their website. You need to meet them in person to gauge what impact they will have on your day. Are they going to command enough respect from your guests to make sure you get the shots you want? Are they going to get in the way and stand out like a sore thumb or will they be able to blend into the background? I would say get a shortlist of people you're interested in and then make an appointment to meet them and discuss your requirements. You'll probably find you click with one photographer better than another. And then your decision'll be made for you.

Wanchai - ooohh ThisModernLove shots are stunning and I will be sending a couple of those links to my photographer for my file!!! I like Brideen also. I'm with Natalie and think you should meet both Photographers and get a feel for them first. If they are less than you have budgeted for, perhaps you could book yourself a session with them and have some 'artistic' shots taken for your new husband. You could have them delivered to him on the morning of your wedding as a surprise gift?!


I played with my Menu invites last night having brought some gorgeous paper from the craft shop. I have opened a PhotoBucket account so hopefully when i get home later i can share them on here for everyones opinion and ideas for improvement!

Hopefully you should be able to view my first attempts at the Menu/place cards. I have decided i don't like the scissor effect around the wording 'Bride', and it was cut off centre! hahaha. I'm going to double mount this i think and use the guillotine at work for a good cut. . . . . . The idea is their individual menu choice will be printed on a cream background and then i can just insert them in the card. I also fancy doing every card with different paper.

Oh thanks for sharing!! That is soo pretty!! And even though it's not perfect (to your very high standards I may add) you can see how great they are going to be when you have got them exactly how you want them!

Well today is Day 1 of my proper diet - no more dilly dallying for me. I need to get a grip again!
