I have got a very low level insurance just to cover any suppliers that may go under - like my dress, the chair company, and the catering I'd have bought if we have to postpone it. I got ours for £18.20 from E&L.

Have you taken photos of your STDs? I'm I speak on behalf of everyone on this thread when I say we'd love to see them!

Well I've been 'good' for two days now.
    Night all.
  • Oh I've got photos - how do I upload them? I'm not very good at artistic type things, and I'm pretty pleased with my efforts so I went a bit snap happy with the camera! :D

I'll have a look at that company now, the only major expense I'd be worried about is the venue but it's been around for a very long time, so hopefully nothing will go wrong!

    xx
  • PS - well done on "being good" I've started a weekly weigh in with my sis who lives in London, but haven't even vaguely stuck to my healthy living this week - been loaded with the cold so felt far too sorry for myself! lol!
  • Welcome back Laura3.
i got my wedding insurance from here http://www.my-weddinginsurance.co.uk/. I think the policy i got was £23.

    Emma the shoes are lovely

Natalie great news about the dress. I'm going with my sister next weekend to a dress fitting and thinking about seeing if they still have my dress and trying it on again!

Laurar your bouquet will look amazing:)
  • i nip to find out who im getting my insurace with and natalie has beaten me to it! lol!

    Laura3 PHOTOS PLZ

you need to upload into something like photobucket and then copy the link! im sure someone will be able to explane better!
  • Thanks ladies! Went onto E&L and got it for £18.90 - delighted!! :D:j

I'll go see if I can figure out how to upload my photos!

    xx
  • Love the button bouquet LauraR . . . It's such a great feeling making it yourself, I love mine. I'm working on my BM Purple/lilac one at mo. I'll get some pics in photobucket tomorrow to show you all!!

I got the ribbon for my day invites today. Decided against more buttons on the front. Found some lovely pearl like kind of things to stick on!! Haha I have no idea what they're called but I liked them!

    306 days for me :)
  • Phew! That was a mission and a half! Lol! But I now have a photobuckt account with a couple of pics in it, hope this works:

The slim bouquet is what I'm having for my bridesmaids, the other bouquet is the basis of what I'd like for my own, except it'll have some feathers in it (feathers, pearls and cala lillies are what's ended up pulling my art deco inspired theme together! :D).

The photo frames are what I'm using for favours as well as place settings, but instead of having people's names written in them, we're putting a photo of each guest in them.

  • I've just put in another photo of the table centres we're having, although these ones I was quoted a min of £35 each for so I've decided to make them myself, which means they'll look a bit different as well as being cheaper! :T

Ours won't have the black bases as I don't want them to light up which the ones in the photo do, and they'll just sit on a mirror with a blue runner across the table. Can't decide if/what to scatter on the table just to decorate it more. Either small blue stones or maybe pearls - I'll worry about that later! Lol!

LauraL ooo how exciting going for a dress fitting!!

Tracey3 - god I hope either a) you never have to claim or b) if you do have to claim that E&L pay out given that you've got them through my 'recommendation'. Saying that though when you search google for reviews pretty much all of them come out with poor feedback. I guess (hope) that it's just a case of people only writing a review when something doesn't work out rather than being representative!
Lovely photos!! Those photoframes are so pretty!! Thanks for sharing!

Melanie - definitely show us piccies when you've put one together!!
