:) Have just got back from my round trip popping into the bridal shop and visiting my granddad (who had a fall but is okay, but he's staying at my mums for a bit).

Well I took my shoes with me. :) The lady who dealt with me was lovely. Apparently the suppliers of the dress want to know the exact length I want the dress (tea length rather than the full length it is at the moment) because they are going to make it for me in the factory rather than giving me the full length dress and then the bridal shop's alteration lady chopping the bottom off. :) Really excited cause this way it is truly bespoke!! Anyway she had a dress in that was a similar style princess skirt but shorter so she got me to try it on and then hold it to the length that I'd like it. I ended up with it being about 13in off the floor when I've got my heals on :) I cannot wait to see my dress!! :D
I didn't ask to try on my dress again - lol I didn't dare - what if I hated it all of a sudden lol.
BUT I have most definitely put weight on since I went to try dresses on in July. Firstly my boobs spill out over my strapless bra and my arms/shoulders just looked fat.
I have been 'good' now for over 24 hrs. I've started a notebook for a diary and I'm writing down all my feelings associated with food lol so I should bore you all with it instead. Yesterday morning I had 22lbs to lose. Can't believe I've let myself get this big again.
I asked the lady at the shop when I should expect my first fitting and she said mid-February, there are 17 weeks between now and the end of January - RAAAAAAAAAAR I can do this!!

Oh those shoes are lovely Emma!!
  • Thanks, I hope they are ok, I had budgeted £30 for her shoes so will be well pleased if these are ok, esepcially as I had my one them them and thought they are good for £28.

Natalie- thats only a 1lb most weeks which is definately doable. Im sure you can do it, although I cant believe you have 22lb to lose. If your feeling a bit unconfident about your weight its probably a good thing you didnt try your dress on as you may have thought negatively about the dress as it may not have looked how it did last time you tried it on (although I bet you havent put that much on and are just being hard on yourself, I mean you say this big, but your only a 10 arent you!!?)

    Glad your grandad is ok.

It is really odd isn't it :) I *know* I'm not massive. I *know* I'm no where near as big as I was, but I feel it. Lol I could do with being Goked. But yep I absolutely agree with you - I did right not trying my dress on again and feeling rubbish about myself. :) But 1lb a week is definitely do able!

I'm glad my Granddad is okay too - lol silly old man! :D

I think your bouquet is going to look amazing when you're done! I love the blue colour!!
  • Hi ladies,

Can I jump back into your lovely thread please? I was around for a bit in the summer (Laura3), but my wedding planning fell by the way side when I went back to school as work's been absolutely manic!

Need to get back on track though - only 300 days to go!!:T:T

We've had a good wedding weekend - ordered our wedding cake and found a baker who'll do it for £150 less than everywhere else was quoting :j:j. I've also made a good start on my save the dates, they're costing me a grand total of £7.50 so I'm pleased with that. Only trouble I'm now having is that my printer won't take the card I'm using - despite it printing perfectly well on it yesterday! :( It's so frustrating!!!

pinkprincess - I absolutely LOVE those shoes!!!!

Areany of you bothering to buy wedding insurance? I'd been planning to, but a min of £60 for the policy I'm kinda feeling as though I might be better just taking the risk?

I'll read back over the last couple of pages, don't think I'll manage as far back as when I was here in July!

Hope your wedding planning is all going well!!

    xx
