The dress is full length but I'm getting the bottom of it chopped off to tea-length.
It was only as someone was asking me about the wedding in today's staff meeting that I thought 'ooo it's gone the 17th of the month, that's another one down'. Lol normally I think it on the 17th of each month!!
It will soon be under 300 days!!0 -

I cant wait till its under 300 days, it was like over 700 when we set the date and booked the ceremony and reception venue!
Wanchai- have you looked on goldsmiths to see what platinum rings they have- if you shop in tesco you can covert your vouchers, I used £70 tesco vouchers to get £210 towards my ring.
LauraR- the cake pop cake looks fab. I have heard thay cake pops are hard to make, but at least that will mean trials which will mean tasty cake to trial!!:D
Not really done much, I went to a wedding fayre yesterday and was admiring someones table plans, invites etc and the lady asked how my planning was going, so I said oh im really organised, got all the big things booked and smaller things are in the pipeline, but I did need to sort my table plan as its one of the few things left I have no idea what I want it to look like and the snooty woman looke down her nose at me and told me people are booking their table plans 2 years in advance and I really need to sort it out- I thought well a lot of people only have a year or less to plan their whole wedding!
Natalie- I bet you wont sleep much friday, youll be too excited!!
Melanie, oh that would be fab news about your bouquet, ill be keeping ym fingers crossed for you.0 -
Any good wedding insurance deals around? I am looking at https://www.my-weddinginsurance.co.uk - anyone used it?
Yeah that's who i got my insurance with:)
Natalie really glad the meeting went well with the parents. Congrats on the promotion0 -
Right tea is in so let me catch up in here while I have a spare couple of mins
Melanie/Emma - It is funny isn't it - in my head as the bottom of my tea length dress is going to be a little bit puffy I need to have 'big' hair to balance it out... lol that's why I've been contemplating having mine down... but then I think the style of my dress is more formal than for my hair to be down. Lol decisions decisions!! When I get my dress I plan on taking lots of photos to decide!! Oh and I'm also letting my red hair fade out completely and will be asking my hair dresser to take me back to plain brown (with brown highlights of some sort) to see how I feel about it. But whatever you choose Melanie - I agree with Emma - the most important thing is that you feel like you and comfortable.
Tracey - hurrah that you've booked your make up artist/hair person!!And I do believe that people do deserve a chance to right any wrongs - so even though there was the !!!! up with the first meeting with her it sounds like she's doing everything she can to make it up to you and that is commendable.
Michelle - those flowers are lovely! Did you manage to make something with them? Piccies?
Wanchai - Have you made your mind up about your dress yet? Piccies?
Oh and I agree about the ring - it is for life so if budgets can allow it I say sod it!!
Melanie - I agree it'd be nice for us Julyers to share our weight loss trials and tribulations given we've all got the same deadline in mindI have around a stone I want to shift. I struggled to get my non-engagement ring off this morning I'd bloated up that much after the weekend's crap eating!! (and that ring is normally fairly loose!) And I agree 1lb a week is a very sensible and realistic target. "damage limitation" lol not a phrase I seem to know at the moment unfortunately!
Great news that you've got a photographer booked!!
Wow well done on losing a stone!!
Oh No LauraL - just read about your pain in your side!! Hope you are feeling better xx
Mel - how has the move gone?
Shoogling - love it!!
I don't think there is any hard and fast rule about how often threads have to be restarted - it seems like it's at the discretion of the board guide. I certainly haven't ever seen a 'you must close this' message.Part of me doesn't want a 'Part 2' - part of me likes the idea of this thread just growing and growing until our weddings
LauraR - well done on your weight loss!!
Love the cake pops!!
Melanie - selling button bouquets sounds like a fab idea!!
Sorry Wanchai - haven't heard of that company before - have you tried searching these forums for reviews of it?
Tut Emma - that woman sounds awful!! You should have told her - well some people obviously have far too much money to be able to afford to pay some snooty woman to create something that a bit of card, a computer and a printer can do!! Pah!
Lol Emma - I bet I sleep Friday like a baby - lol - I'm that tired not much could keep me awake at the moment!!The 'good' news (with regards to my excitement) is the dress itself isn't ready yet so I'm literally only going so they can get a length measurement.
Right that is me all caught up - tea time0 -
