Hi everyone, soooo sorry for not writing much on here since I've gone back to school. Things aren't going to get any easier for me any time soon either as I've just landed myself a temporary promotion (hurrah) meaning I have more responsibility. I *will* catch up soon, but just wanted to say everything is all okay here
I haven't done anything weddingy (sob), and after the weekend the diet has gone to pot! 5 weeks yesterday and we go off to Tenerife - hurrah!! Got a stinking cold, just want to sleep but can't - must go in to school.
Catch you all soon!!0 -
OK, my wedding diet starts today!!! Official!
I have been browsing online for cute images for our invitations... are you allowed to use stuff like that or is it copyrighted? It's not as if I'll be publishing them lol.
Excitement! I am also going to another dress shop at lunchtime today woo hoo!!!!!!!! Cannot wait.
I am in LOVE with this wedding ring, but it is so dear! Any suggestions on where I could get it cheaper, or should I consider having one made? It seems very expensive for just 0.1 carat.

EJ is offering 14% on Quidco/TCB at the mo, which would give us over £100 cashback if it tracks, but I don't want to rely on cashback, and it would still cost almost £700!!! Having said that, OH won't be wearing a wedding ring, so we will save £££s on his, which we could spend on mine lol! Can you haggle with high street jewellers?7 Feb 2012: 10st7lbs14 Feb: 10st4.5lbs

Thanks for finding that - it is pretty, but I like the sorted of 'faceted' style of the other ring. Typical me, expensive tastes!!!But I am going to be wearing it forever, so it may be worth spending a bit more.

Well Wanchai - your getting lots of ideas and welcome to my world of dreaming about wedding things! I kind of hope once i get the big stuff done my life will not feel so consumed as it does now. However secretly, so don't tell my H2B, but i'm actually really enjoying it!! I love planning, making and doing etc. The great news from Camp Bride is i may even be able to carry on wedding like things after my big day . . . . . .
I found this gorgeous little florist in our town, tucked down a side road, and she does everything shabby chic and vintage. It has fast become my new favourite place to browse. I could buy everything and the lady is so nice who owns it. My new bessie mate!! haha. Anyway we got chatting about my Button Bouquet and she has asked to see it as she thinks there may be in interest in them. So i decided last night when i couldn't sleep(!) that i am going to make mine up, take it in and ask her if she would be interested in stocking some samples in her shop. Other brides could then order them by colour and size and she could charge me a fee for passing on details etc. She has a wooden dresser in there covered in bears for another lady she sells on her behalf so i think she's open to getting trade in the door. Well thats my initail thought . . . any thoughts from you??
Good luck on the promotion Natalie and you are forgiven for having other things in life that differ from wedding plans. Don't be away for to long though!
Thank you all for the support in my 1 stone weight loss . . . still smiling about it. Started the next stone this morning after having a flexi day yesterday - chinese buffet. Huuuge calories but at the time it was soooo nice. Still feel bloated this morning though. I think after just 12 wks off the fatty food i can't tolerate it the same anymore.0 -
wanchai - BUY THE RING!
You will be wearing it everyday for the rest of your life. My wedding ring was a lot too but i figured that if i wear it everyday for the next 40 years thats 14,600 days. So a ring at £799.00 will cost about 5p a day. Bargain!!0 -
BARGAIN 5p a day!!! LOVE IT!!!! haha0

Right so here's my update...
Lol I completely forgot this when I wrote my very quick message yesterday (again so sorry I haven't read everyone's posts - but I am assuming you're all still buzzing about weddings ha!)...
It is now less than 10 months till I will officially be a Mrs lol. Eeek!!
It is less than 5 weeks till we go and learn to dive - yaaaaaaay!!
I really must pull the reins in with the diet thing. I was doing soooo well but then have just eaten crap for four days and have put on anything I had lost. Bye bye fitness - grrr. And now I have a bloomin cold - so I just want to sleep and not exercise. Back to eating sensibly today though.
I got an email from my bridal shop - they want me to go in with my shoes so they can get the length of my dress right - now I don't know if this is the chopped off tea-length or the full length - either way it's exciting that I've had an email from them!! Although I feel about a stone bigger than I was when I went to try dresses on (lol I know I'm not in reality - but it feels like it). Am off on Saturday with my shoes.(Will give me a break in my work).
Oh and this weekend our parents (finally) met!! That went really well - they all seemed to get on with each other and by the end of the night they were having independent conversations without either MrD or I starting them talking. Lol the next time they meet will be our wedding!! lol and then after that god knows pmsl.
So that is my news - now I'm off for a lay down before MrD gets home and we can cook tea.

Just looking up wedding insurance policies here before we pay our deposit to the reception venue... our date is finally booked!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yeeeeha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Any good wedding insurance deals around? I am looking at https://www.my-weddinginsurance.co.uk - anyone used it?
MrsDrink - you seem to be doing so well thus far with the weight loss, brava!!! Keep at it and good luck on Saturday at the dress shop! Are you going for tea length or full length?
OMG @ ten months, same for us eek!!!!!!!!! It is so great being in this thread, everyone has the same length of time to go.Yippee!
