Sorry haven't been on for a while, work has gone crazy and wedding stuff has taken a back seat.
Have brought some foam flowers from ebay to make my bouquet:

Looking forward to creating something with them at the weekend, whilst waiting for the Sky man on Saturday, relented and have let H2B have Sky installed, we have freeview, but only get half the channels his parents get, and we're higher up the village than they are..... Also will be task master and get H2B to make the save the date cards as well (oh that reminds me, must print the labels I need today at work!)
Will try and get some piccies of the handy work up :T0 -

Lol I have been looking at the same seller! Not bought any yet as I'm gonna see what my mum reckons (I wouldn't know a decent flower if it smacked me in the face, they're all just brightly coloured bug magnets to me!) so you'll have to let me know if they are any good!
Deffo put some pictures up so we can see!
Not read everything but will pop on later as well xxThs signature is out of date because I'm too lazy to update it...0 -
Hello!
Hope your all ok.
LauraL and Tracey- hope your both feeling better soon.
Michelle- those flowers are lovely- will look fab when they are together- by bridesmaids are having ivory foam roses and ivoery gerberas- the foam roses look fab. I like the mixed ones, havent seen any like that before so I really like they fact they are different!! Youll have to make sure you post some pictures.
Day 4 of being good and I still havent eaten anything naughty!!:D I do feel better from not eating rubbish so really should stick to it!!0 -
Well, we've bought some lanterns (B&M), some napkins (Wilkos) and some boxes of trivia things for the table (hobbycraft). They were all in sales and at least half price :-)
We've bought some coloured paper and designed the inserts for our flower notelets (that we're using as invites). We're trying to design the invites for the evening do and hav decided to email these out, so have started collecting everyone's email address.
A family member has kindly offered to pay for quite a lot of our wedding. This is very, very generous and lovely and they are insisting that they want to (and they do have the spare cash tbh). I'm torn between saying yes to all or some of it.
I've seen 'the dress', the one I've always wanted, secondhand on one of the sites. It sounds like it would fit BUT the bust could be tight. It's miles away from me so I need to decide whether to chance it or not!!0 -
Lovely flowers Michelle!
Lol Emma I won't tell you what I'm succumbing to for tea then!!0 -
Sickasachip (Sorry forgotten your real name), how much of a bargain is it? Is it likely that if you got it and it wasn't right that you could sell it on again and get the same back for it as you paid? Or that the bust could be let out a bit? Sorry that doesn't help much does it!0

The dress is still a lot of money. If it was on ebay it wouldn't sell for as much as they're asking for it but, it is so much seriously cheaper than new would be and I'll be selling it on after wearing it
I just don't know how much room there is usually to let dresses out - do you think there'd usually be a couple of centimetres, or would it be less than that.0 -
There used to be a fab lady on here called Lindaatno9 who used to answer all seamstress related questions. You could try emailing her from her website (google Linda at no 9 and hers is the first hit) and tell her the dress name and model number and see what she thinks.0

Thanks to everyone for the welcoming words, you are all lovely.
I can't wait to get started!!!
Wedding dress shopping went great, I like at least 4 dresses lol!!!!!!! I'm going again on Sat with my mum, that's the one I'm most looking forward to. It'll be lovely going dress shopping with her.
PinkPrincess83 - yes, I do have a Monsoon dress in reserve, how lovely of you to remember.I'm very glad to have it! It takes the pressure off a little.

Shattered tonight and nothing wedding done but I have my invites to shop for at the weekend so still smiling. Annoyed that I have been 100% on the diet and stayed the same:(. Miffed but I am going to stick it out. I am NOT having my dress made bigger.
Yes, that's me! :A
Keep at it weight loss wise! :T I need to lose a stone (at least) so will defo be sharing my diet trials and tribulations here!sickasachip13 wrote: »Well, we've bought some lanterns (B&M), some napkins (Wilkos) and some boxes of trivia things for the table (hobbycraft). Grrr- I posted on here before I went to bed but my netbook was on a go slow last night and it obviously didnt post it!!
It said something like:
Natalie- are you having pizza!!?
Vic- What kind of back does the dress have, is it lace up, buttoned etc? And also well done on the bargains, and thats very kind about your family member- I would accept as much as you feel comfortable taking, if you dont feel 100% in accepting all the money maybe compromise on them paying for certain aspects.
Wanchai- do you have a real name? I want to lose about a stone aswell, so definately share your trials and tribulations and we can encourage and motivate each other.0
