hey, sorry I have not been on here for a while. Things have been so busy trying to prepare for when I go back to uni in October. so much more prep to do considering I am going to be giving birth half way through my final year.
No more wedding things to advise you of as have not done anything. I am going to a wedding on Sunday so maybe that will give me some ideas. Am quite worried about it as it is my OH's family and half of them I have not met. I have really put some weight on and am worried they are just going to think that I am fat, not realising that I am pregnant. Most of them know but not all of them. I know it is a stupid thing to be worried about but am even having to borrow a dress as none of mine fit.0 -
enjoy the wedding tomorrow Laura xx0

Melanie - lol I agree with the simple things (the brown font instead of black). I did experiment with a dark grey instead of black on mine but I ended up preferring the bolder black. But in all aspects of my life I prefer other colours to black - lol I always write in blue pen (when I can help it anyway). Definitely want to see the pictures when they are done... lol and you are as bad as me - I timetabled everything - like the invites - for a school holiday - but the invites I did one weekend, lol and my paper decoration hearts I did on a boring Sunday lol. Maybe if I'd saved them all till now I wouldn't be quite as bored as I am!!
Tracey - hiya strangerOf course we will forgive you lol (not that you were asking). You won't be the first final year student to have a baby so I'm sure your uni will be able to support you through it all
If there is anything any of us can help with just scream... although I'm not sure what help we could be lol.
You will just have to wear a sign saying "I'm not fat - I'm pregnant". Ha!

Hello fellow July brides & grooms.
I am new here and am also a July bride.
We get married on 7th July.
So far, we have church and venue booked and my dress is bought. Everything else still to go.
Trying to stick to tight budget, which would be much easier if my OH didn't have delusions of grandure for our (my! Lol) big day.0 -
Welcome July
(do you have a real name? Lol you don't have to share it if you'd rather we didn't know).
Oooo what is your dress like? We're a chatty bunch on here who love seeing piccies of everything (well I do anyway lol).
Look forward to hearing more about your wedding as you plan it0 -
Hey everyone
Not wedding related at all to report as I havent thought of anything else to do yet!!:rotfl:. Im looking forward to getting the invites sorted in October, Im thinking of aiming to get the rsvps all in by the May half term so my mum can get the table plan all done so im thinking sending the invites out middle of March, rsvps middle of May so then ill have a week or 2 to chase- we arent having that many people anyway so it wont take me long to chase.
Hope Tracey and LauraL have lovely days at the weddings they are going to.0 -
I'm sat here feeling a bit sad really - sad that I've organised/planned so much already. I really want something weddingy to do during these last two days of my school hols. It's not helped by the fact MrD is working both days. *sigh*
I'm sat here in my gym gear (did an exercise DVD earlier) wearing my new Miss KG School shoes lol. I am ready to get back into a routine of work. (Lol besides going back in September means Christmas is on it's way :rotfl:)0 -

Hello! I totally sympathise - my oh is the same I swear if it was left to him to sort it, well put it this way the gypsies would be jealous! :rotfl:I'm sat here feeling a bit sad really - sad that I've organised/planned so much already. Haha I always do the ironing in heels because I'm a short !!!! and it makes my arms ache if I do it without something to make me higher up. Same when I'm making pastry or crumble and stuff like that, I need the highest heels I've got so that I can get my arms inside the bowl!
I must do a dvd this afternoon because OH talked me into a panini at lunchtime - I had a plain cheese one with a side salad but apparently it's still 650 calories
I am well and truly back into the routine of work - I'm currently sitting here typing up my tracking sheets and inputting all the SEN/G&T dataWhat an exciting life I lead!

Oh bless you - and how wrong that I'm jealous that you've gotten back into the swing of things.
I did notice the other day when I was preparing tea how much nicer if felt to wear my heels to do it! The worktop was at the right height for my newer higher armies. Rather than having to lift them up to do everything - I can see why my back would hurt less by wearing them if I did any washing up (have a dishwasher so doing it by hand has become a rarity thank god!)
I have carried on looking at readings for our ceremony and came across this one:
Marriage is about giving and taking
And forging and forsaking
Kissing and loving and pushing and shoving
Caring and Sharing and screaming and swearing
About being together whatever the weather
About being driven to the end of your tether
About Sweetness and kindness
And wisdom and blindness
It's about being strong when you're feeling quite weak
It's about saying nothing when you're dying to speak
It's about being wrong when you know you are right
It's about giving in, before there's a fight
It's about you two living as cheaply as one
(you can give us a call if you know how that's done!)
Never heeding advice that was always well meant
Never counting the cost until it's all spent
And for you two today it's about to begin
And for all that the two of you had to put in
Some days filled with joy, and some days with sadness
Too late you'll discover that marriage is madness.0 -
It does make a difference doesn't it! The world is designed for tall people, and I'm not even that short! In bare feet I'm just about 5 foot 4.
Oh I hate dishwashers, I can never be doing with all the leaning over to put stuff in and take it out! I always wash up by hand even when I have access to a dishwasher lol weirdo!
I've done loads of work now and can't be bothered to do any more. I'm now agonising over what to have for dinner as we have nothing in the house. I'm on my own as OH is away with his mates tonight and I'm highly tempted to order a takeaway but I've already eaten loads of calories at lunchtime! (I didn't exercise in the end, oops - but I was being good and working!)
Just been looking online for hair accessories but can't find anything I like for a reasonable price, might have to do a trail round town and the market on all the little accessories stalls. I only spent £100 on my dress, don't wanna spent a quarter of that on a hair clip lol! Shoe shopping beckons soon too!
That's a nice reading, Shaun and me need to start figuring some of that stuff out soon I think. We haven't really thought about what we want. We will need to have hymns but all the ones we've heard so far at church are so slow and dull, I want something a bit happier at a wedding! I personally quite like Jerusalem but I think that's because it reminds me of happy nights down the pub watching the rugby lol! I don't really want people thinking of rugby at my wedding!
