Melanie, I bought 'my' bridesmaids dress in store at debenhams and they were doing an offer where if you open a store card you got 15% off, :D might be worth doing if any of them catch your eye and you haven't already got a debs card.

I keep going back and looking at those shoes so something has struck a chord :rotfl: I'm in two minds whether just wait and see, or whether to order the size 41's online (but it's supposedly a 7-8 and I'm only a 6 - I think that's wishful thinking!).

Or I could call the number on the debenhams website tomorrow and see if they can find me any in my size lol. They may look horrible on my feet or not even fit lol but I'm feeling the need to find out! Wonder if they're in stock in town...

Oh yay Emma one more thing nearly done then!

  • Emma - My daughter would like purple. It does quite suit her colouring so i'm looking at purple or a dark pink colour. Just seen a couple of lovely ones on the Debenhams Debut range. I'm looking for a floor length dress for her as mine will be tea length, however 1 of the dresses that has really caught my eye is knee length!

OOH ordering rings. Let us know what you choose!
  • Ooh a Debenhams card . . good MSE tip. Open card, get discount, pay straight off, no interest. Excellent!

I'm a size 6 too and i have to order a euro39 or euro40, which is a 6.5. I personally think a 41 would be to big and there is only so many insoles you can pop in the shoe! :rotfl:

I have just found some amazing Debut brand shoes that i just have to own! If my bridesmaid has pink or purple i could tie these shoes in fabulously:

Whooop whooop!! :D I now have an extra fridge and a freezer to store all our buffet goodness (well okay realistically some of it lol). Oh and the great thing was she was also getting rid of her old microwave - so we nabbed that. She didn't want anything for them so I'm going to buy her a bunch of flowers and take them to her when I'm back at school :) Very happy indeed!

Mel - I really do like the colour and style of your bridesmaid's dress - I dunno if I said this before - or whether it was to someone else but that's the sort of style I'd want. And it's a lovely colour too. And I agree navy ribbon and navy shoes would look really good.
Mmm do Miss KG shoes come up narrow? No I don't think they do. I think they are normal to wider fitting - but I'm not sure. Lol all I know is I used to have wide feet as a child but I don't struggle as an adult.

Hahahaaa Emma - short !!!!!! :p lol but then so is your OH!! :rotfl:

Ha can you tell I'm a big KG fan?!

Mel (again) - ORDER the aqua shoes!! :D I agree with you though - you need to buy them and see them, then you can discount them and send them back. The great thing with Debenhams is their free royal mail returns - you just print off an address off their website and take it to your postoffice. No faff, and no charge :)

Hurrah Emma for getting your OHs ring ordered - lol I wish MrD would make up his mind whether he wanted one or not - then I'd have something to do - organising one lol

Melanie - I really like the taffeta shorter dress. Mmm maybe google image search for shorter length wedding dressed brides with shorter length dressed bridesmaids and see if they will go... I don't see why they shouldn't. And those pink sparkly shoes are lovely. I do prefer that style of sparkle to the tacky diamante ones you get. (I'm still holding out that Miss KG will bring out my silver shoes with the sparkly bits on - if they do I will have to get them - the cream ones really were perfect just too yellow *sigh*).

I know, I think the size thing is a bit optimistic haha!

I do like those purple dresses, must say I prefer the knee length but then I'm not really into long dresses anyway - having said that, if you are wearing a shorter dress it would be nice to have a bit of variation!

    Those shoes are very pretty!

I am just watching x factor and if there is one person who could make me cancel this wedding it's Gary B hahaha!

I just tried ringing debenhams as they are out of stock on the website but they are closed... will have to try tomorrow or possibly take a swift trip into town!

  • ohs ring is ordered- i will collect it Tues. I had spotted a cheap £35 on tesco but his size was out of stock for ages, so i looked today and they no longer do that one, but they had one that was £65 reduced to £40 so we have gone for that one, he will literally wear it for a few hours on the day and will probably never wear it again so there was no point in spending a lot- but he did want a ring for the ceremony and as a keepsake.

oh both lovely dresses Melanie, my colour is dark pink (with a few other shades chucked in!!)

Oh that's good then, bargain. The tesco rings actually look pretty good for the price!

  • well i think it will be a good buy for what we need, so glad I checked on tesco today now. I think my original budget for rings was £300 and ive managed to get them both for £210 when in full price terms they should have cost us £425!

Mine was £380- £210 in tesco vouchers so only £170 out of our wedding account
Ohs was originally £65 reduced to £40

    I love moneysaving and finding a bargain!!:D

Me too! It's such a good feeling especially when you add up all the savings! I don't think I've paid full price for anything so far lol!
