I do tend to go out drinking once every few months- but a lot of the time i drive, I have learnt my lesson and steer clear of vodka- about a year ago I got so drunk on vodka I could barely walk, i couldnt even open the front door, luckily oh was still up and let me in!!:rotfl:. I tend to stick to archers and the odd shot of sambuca now, oh and i like one brand of pear cider and I like the odd cocktail- but im much more aware of my limits now!!
Ive had my phone about 16 months and am on an 18 month contract so will be getting a new one when its up- unless I can get a good sim only deal- but I do want a new one so probably will get a new one!! I can go online on my phone, and I can read this thread- but for some reason I cant easily post- it doesnt show the text as Im writing it so if I ever post a really random post you know Im on my phone!!:rotfl:0 -
I go away for one day and i have two pages to catch up on!:rotfl:
July2012 Welcome. We are all lovely on here. If you need any advice the girls are amazing!
Mel love the dress, really like the colour, also love the shoes. I think the dress and shoes would look nice together.
Ive got purple dress and purple shoes for my BM's.
Went to my friends wedding yesterday and it was amazing:D I think it was even better because we are gettin married so i was looking at all the details. My friend looked amazing in her dress. ooo i can't wait to get married now:D
Have another wedding next weekend.
I kept asking OH if he is excited about our wedding. Also, i think it was good for him to see what will happen when we get married. He kept saying 'i'll make sure i do this for you' etc. bless him!
Back to work tomorrow:(i can't believe it! Oh well only 7weeks until half term!!:rotfl:
When we went to OH's distant cousins wedding I was more thinking "I'm glad we're not doing that"I'm such a cow! It was really tacky though! Probably just as well we didn't know them very well lol.
You all have really good term dates! For us it's stupid, it's 6 weeks till half term then 8.5 weeks afterwards  We have a training day on the 23rd December of all the bleddy times, which idiot decided that one!
I've been doing loads of packing and stuff today ready for moving out - nearly had a massive barney with oh because I asked him (nicely!) to tidy, dust and polish the front room. I go off to deep clean the kitchen and bathroom, come back and all he's done is move the things that were spread out on the table into a pile on the table (not put them away!) and do a half arsed dust of everything, he's not even touched the polish and he's sat there watching a film!:mad::mad::mad::mad: I'm currently in the process of cooking a roast dinner and he's still sitting on his !!!!!
DIVORCE!!!!

Our Schools break up for Christmas on the 20th December (we'll probably break up on the Monday 19th cause we usually have a day in lieu during the autumn and summer terms).
Oh yep Mel - definitely divorce him :rotfl:.0 -
Oh dear Mel- I dont blame you for being annoyed. I would be doing a roast for 1!!:rotfl:
When are you moving back home? Are you almost packed and ready?0 -
Well to stave off some boredom I have just bought a new lipgloss lol - BUT I got it off ebay for £8.99, would be £12.50 from Debenhams (assuming there was a free P&P code about).0

I gave him the worst bits of chicken and the potato I dropped on the floor
We are moving back at some point this month, notice is given on the flat for September 30th but we will probably be out on the weekend before that. The house is full of boxes at the minute, I'm having to be so selective about what I can take to my mums because of the limited space! Everything else is going in storage, we managed to find some for £80 a month which isn't too bad. We have quite a lot of furniture that is too good to throw away, but wouldn't be worth selling, so that's all going in to save us having to buy new.
Oh which lipgloss did you get? I have sooo many lipglosses and lipsticks but I hardly ever wear them! I think I like the idea of them but not the maintenance of having to reapply all day, I just forget! My proper make up addiction is eyeliners though - I counted them the other day and I have 37 eyeliners in various types and shades. I wear eyeliner every single day though so they do get used!
Just off to clean the oven nowhate that job!

Oh bargain on the lipgloss then!
In my boredom ive started having a look for my older bridesmaid shoes, but annoyingly have come across some I love for my younger bridesmaid- but as shes still growing think I will have to resist- they are the flat ones:

Ive found them on one site for £15! Quite tempted to get myself a pair for the evening as I bet they are so comfy for dancing in!!:rotfl:0 -
:rotfl: for serving manky chicken and a dropped roastie!! I would have done the same.
Been to a wedding fayre today to look at photographers. Still not sure what to do but did meet up with an old friend and she has a friend of a friend who does photography for a hobby. Waiting for her to email me his number. Coz I don't want a 'proper' shots I'm loathed to spend thousands on an album that will sit in a cupboard.
Were tempted to set up H2B pentax camera and lens on a tripod with a remote and ask guests to take their own pics! Might be fun, but don't want a drunken idiot messing with the camera thou. So I have more wedding thoughts to keep me awake at night. Lol.0 -
Lol Mel - firstly for feeding your OH the worst bits of chicken and the tattie that fell on the floor lol. And secondly for having 37 eye liners - that is one item of make up I don't wear. I have quite small eyes and it really makes them look even smaller. (Although the Mac guy did put some weight on to balance it out a bit - I still wasn't overly keen). I have bought the Viva Glam Gaga lipglass from Mac (of course ha!). I do want the matching lipstick but that was too much for me to get with what I've got in MrD's paypal at the moment lol.
Emma - awww those shoes are sooo pretty!! Fingers crossed they still have them next year when you know your younger bridesmaid has stopped growing (for long enough till the wedding anyway lol).
The only thing I can add to your pondering about the photos Melanie, is during the ceremony itself you are only allowed one photographer (well that's certainly the case with our registry office do) - it can be a family member/friend - but will they be able to sit and observe while they are snapping away - that was the reason why we've gone for one for during the ceremony only.
Argh tea's probably burning!0 -
I think they have been discontinued as ive found them so cheap on one website, was tempted to get them in a 6 (shes a 5 at the mo and yes shes 11 years old- im a size 4 and im 28!!) and chuck them on ebay if they dont fit as I dont reckon I would lose much on them- will show her tues and see what she thinks!
I know when I was bridesmaid last year in our local registry office my friend has 2 photographers so it may depend on each registry office having its own rules!!
Melanie- your idea is similar to what a lot of people are now doing- but they are also using props and making it into a photo booth kind of thing. Im only spending £210 (inc £20 travel) for 2 hours photography which is perfect for us as theres no way I could spend thousands on a photographer, but did want some nice keepsake photos.
Mel- thats a lot of eyeliners!! I wear eyeliner on a night out but just a plain black one (although I did find about 5 all the same brand and type when I was tidying my dressing room earlier!!:rotfl:)0
