I think for £15 you can't go wrong - like you said if they are too big (or even too small - blimey) then you can always sell them on and I'm sure they would sell being Else shoes. :)

:D Only 5 more school holidays everyone!!!

    It is 316 days, 6 hours, 48 minutes, 38 seconds until Tuesday, 17 July 2012, 14:00.
Ooooo nearly less than 300 days!!

I emailed my mum last night to see if she knows whether Granddad wears cufflinks so I could get him some Grandfather of the Bride ones. Fingers crossed she comes back with the right answer :)

Hope everyone has a good Monday.... only 5 days till it's the weekend! :T
  • I can't believe all this talk about shoes. you guys are obsessed with them. They are one thing I am not obsessed with but am obsessed with handbags and have many of them.

Today I heard my babys heartbeat for the first time and it was amazing.

The wedding I went to yesterday was lovely but compeletly different from what ours is going to be like. I loved their table centre pieces which were very mse. They were wooden roses in a vase. They looked lovely.
  • Tracey-:j at hearing the heartbeat, how far gone are you now?

I love handbags aswell!! Ive had to cut down over the last few years and not buy so many shoes or bags!

I am 14 weeks pregnant now.
I love handbags and have a collection of Radley handbags. Luckily my Dad works for Debenhams so we get a discount and buy them in the sales.

Tracey :jfor hearing babies heartbeat. It's wonderful. Did it sound like a train or horse?! Are you going to find out the sex?

Mel - what a crap day to have a training day. Who would ever arrange a training day for 23December. When do you break up for christmas? Haha yep divorce him! I would be rather annoyed, but i do love your revenge!
We break up on the 16th December. Well i would off left by then!

emma the shoes are cute - I'm a size 3 sometimes a size 2 in heels!(yes i have small feet!)

Well prep all done ready for tomorrow. I still can't believe the summer is over. Also, i got a bigger work t-shirt for when i get fatter!:rotfl:
  • Babies, handbags and shoes! All my favourite subjects.
I have made the assumption that I am the older one of the thread. I'm 40 and my babies are 18 and 16. So all this talk of scans and due dates takes me right back (you never forget!). Enjoyed every moment of it. I still have a recording of my 18yr olds 'sound' from the sonic aid. The nurse left it in my hospital room and my then hubby brought in a dictaphone and recorded it . . . . . thing is i now have the little mini tape but nothing to play it on!!

Nothing wedding related today as i'm back at my desk for the fresh September term. This time next year i'll be returning as a Mrs - no more dusty old shelf for me.

Thanks for all the comments on the purple Debenhams BM dress. The more i look at it the more i like it and i think she may even be able to wear it to a party after the event if i choose the knee length one for her. Shame my nearest store is 50 miles away so will have to plan a day out sooner rather than later. (My impatience is kicking in!!)

Awww Tracey - I bet that was amazing hear your child's heartbeat!!

Haha Melanie - remember debenhams do free returns - so you *could* buy it and try it on at home - you could have a girly night in - get a take away, DVD and choccies :) Sounds fab to me!! (lol but then again so does a days shopping - lol not just for bridesmaids dresses lol).

Well my first day back was pretty much as I expected it - very depressing. Basically the future of our service is unknown - as the council's budget gets squeezed tighter and tighter. Noone knows anything, everyone is frustrated and speculating. Me? I'm just the type who just gets on with the day to day job - whatever will happen will happen and I'll deal with it then - worrying about it now isn't going to achieve anything. I'll be glad when we're back in schools (Thurs) to escape the general depressive nature. Lol it was so bad I was even texting MrD (something I never do - I'm normally too busy!!)

Well I've been a very good girl today - came home and went straight out for a jog - start as I mean to go on and all that malarki. lol
  • Melanie- i think you should go for the dresses, and the shorter one could easily be worn again.

Natalie- doesnt sound like youve had a great day- I have the same way of thinking about my job- we are being outsourced next nov- but whats the point in worrying about it until it happens, we cant say or do anything to stop it happening so may aswell just get on and see what happens come next november.

Well ive had an ok day, ive been good with my food (ok apart from a very small piece of cake!) and ive been to the gym! I have a day off work tomorrow to look after my sister so Im thinking of taking her swimming so I get some exercise! And then I plan on watching outnumbered most of the day!!:rotfl:

That is exactly how I feel Emma!! Why use up emotional energy and drain yourself over the inevitable!! In the mean time I am getting everything I can from the service - in terms of experience, so I am the ideal candidate if I need to apply for my/another job. :) Hoping to go on a course in November on a dyscalculia teaching programme - if I get the funding it'll be another string to my bow. Going to spend some time tomorrow writing my application for the funding - joy!

Even though it was a grotty first day back there was good moments :) I had a really lovely email off my team leader and my head of service praising me for my work. It makes such a difference to be told you're doing a good job - when really all I'm doing is my job - I don't really do over and above what I need to do - work life balance and all that - but I guess what I do do is efficient/effective :) So that was lovely.

I generally hate first days back though - I just want to get started and stuck in. I hate all the hanging about gossiping about what you did over the summer holidays. Lol I guess I'm a stick in the mud/social hermit lol. Let me just get on with my work! :)

Well done on going to the gym. I'm really hoping to avoid it lol. I did join up erm February/March time this year - but I was on a pay as you go membership so it wasn't too bad if I didn't go. I though the treadmill was the best equipment (out of the ones I used) but I'd much rather run on the street. I'm hoping this winter to keep running for as long as possible before the ice/snow come!! Now I'm back at school and back into a routine I'm off running on a Monday and Friday. (This might change depending on if my Body Balance class has to move its day).

    I'm rambling aren't I?!

Lol guess what the first thing I did when I got home was.... well maybe not the immediate first thing cause that was lay on the floor and snuggle Bunny..... have you guessed? Lol yep I bet you've guessed right... I went straight upstairs and tried my ring on lol. I cannot wait to be married!!

I can't remember which of yous Groom to be texts you to count down the number of Fridays till your wedding - but during my meeting today I went and wrote my weekly countdown on each Tuesday between now and our wedding! Lol that is the only weddingy thing I could possibly do! It was really nice though cause everyone was asking about anything I've got sorted since they last saw me - and were all like "I bet you're on countdown now"... lol I did tell them I've been on count down pretty much since he agreed to marry me!! Lol.

:D Only 4 more days till the weekend!
