Good morning:) How is everyone today?

Well I showed MrD the hands reading last night - lol and yep typical response - lack of interest ("yea whatever") pmsl. Anyone would think he doesn't want to get married :rotfl:.

Well today is the first day (again) of being sensible and exercising. Will go for a small run later and see exactly how much I've let myself go. I weighed myself this morning and I have around a stone to lose to get back to where I'm happiest. But I'm now not going to weigh myself until October half term. :D I have instead taken a photo of my wedding ring on my finger. I'm going to take photos of it each week to see how much further down my finger I can get it without forcing it :D

LauraL- I thought you were going to look at rings a few weeks back, I take it you didnt get round to it, im sure you will get yours soon.
    .

We went to a jewellers to have a look and get an idea of what we like. It's on my list of what i wanted to do next but OH says he wants to wait.

Michelle -LOVE them shoes. i would say buy them but i love shoes but i would never be able to walk in that heel!!
    :j your venue is booked

Melaine - i think people do usually expect food in the evening, but as emma said if let people know there wont be any food then they can all eat before they come.

Mel:mad:how annoying about BT. We always have problems wit BT and our internet!

It's official Jem - you are an honorary July bride lol, even if you will beat us all to it by marrying before us :p. How are your plans coming on? Any more news since your shoes?

LauraL lol funny isn't it - we have no problems at all with our bt broadband - but omg when MrD thought he was saving us money by signing up to Talk Talk when they came aknocking one night - we had such crap service from them - I was most decidedly upset!!
Lol could you compromise with your OH and buy your ring now and his ring later :rotfl: Mind you when I went to get my ring sized up the lady told me unless you see a physical ring in your size that you like don't order one now as prices are high at the moment. (But I don't honestly see how the price of gold is going to go down!).

Just incase you guys don't go onto the diet thread:
I have just been for a little jog - although it was bloody tough - I managed to run the whole thing and not walk any of it (bearing in mind I haven't done any running since 27th July, and have hardly done any other exercise either), so while my fitness has definitely taken a battering it's by no means back to square one. I managed a (pathetic short distance of) 3.96km in 23m58s. (Normally I'd share you my nike+ link but it hasn't shared it on FB so I don't know how to share just the one run with you all). I started out at my old pace and soon ran into difficulty (lol) - I was really struggling with my breathing. Normally I run two strides to each inhalation and two strides to each exhalation, but I was just running out of breath. So I slowed my pace right down and got into a rhythm. I think from today's run from 2.5km to 3.5km was the hardest - the muscles around my hips/upper thighs really started to tell me they were working. And there is a little bit of a hill up through a village which was really tough - I was probably as slow up there as I was when I first started running - certainly not my usual standard. Oh and the good news is since getting my trainers in January 2010 I have just completed my 250th kilometer and have turned 'green' in Nike+
  • After a conversation with H2B last night he won't budge on the evening nibbles and feels the hotel are using the word wedding to print money. Probably has a point, so it will be Wedding cake only and we'll let the guests know. Annoyingly they will let us bring our own cake as they can't provide that!! Trying not to let it get to me but I am a bit grumpy about it . . . I was looking forward to cheese and cracker night. Haha.

Moved my wedding dress yesterday into my sons room. It won't fit in the wardrobe so I have moved his room around so I can hang it from the end of the wardrobe, near the wall. So it's out the way BUT I had a dream last night that my son ripped the dress and I arrived at the register office and he left the dress and didn't tell me. They wanted me get married in my Scruffs! I cried the whole dream!! Lol.
I'll be pleased to get back to work tomorrow and throw myself into something else :)
  • Well done Natalie on the exercise. I desperatly need to start something. I can do the diet side ok-ish but I don't exercise. So when I get back to school and routine tomorrow I'm going to find something to do . . . Bike ride first I think.

No, no more plans really. I think I did a load at begining of the year, good job as we're renovating a house at the mo and the ceiling fell in the other week! Argh!!!! Actually, I did buy the hair accessories for the BMs yesterday, $21 each and really lovely diamante, quite 1920s looking. I've got booked the DJ and singer husband and wife team), Saxaphone player (my main extravagence!), venue (obv), my dress, BMs dresses, my Shoes!!!!!, my veil, head dress, florist, toastmaster (ok so maybe another extravagence), BMs presents, FOB present, chair covers, registrar ( going to give notice in a few weeks, but bit daft they're only open tues and thurs 10-2!), erm, suits we're sorting in October as H2B Dad lives in Beddlington, one Usher in Bristol (we're in West Yorks), one Usher is in Canada for a year with one bridesmaid! and best men x2 are our way, so like organising a batallion! We're not having cars as getting married in North Yorks and i'm staying there night before, he can drive his own car! lol. He's a car nutter so always has a car he wants (it is part of his job too so he gets away with it!). So I need bridesmaid shoes, men suits and shoes, mob and mog flowers for on day (sort them with florist), I have a cake, doh! And something to put cards in? That's it I think? I have little bits like candles (99p for 100 tea light holders! Hellloooo ebay) diamantes for tables, guest book all the twiddly bits but pretty much there!

Good thing is though I can answer all questions ie what the hell went wrong etc! that is with being an honorary member of July! I can have a hot seating sesh!

Oh no Melissa - that would be a nightmare if it came true!!
Yea - exercise - it's evil isn't it :rotfl: but I absolutely believe you have to find the one that suits you. I never dreamed that I would actually enjoy running, but really it makes perfect sense that it does cause I'm a maths geek and there are so many numbers involved - like distance, time and even second by second pace (when I'm on form I don't like to see that number above 6mins per kilometre). I also do Yoga - love it for being peaceful and relaxing (listening to and working with your own body), and a Body Balance class - in which I can really push my body to it's limits (listening to and ignoring your own body lol). I used to swim, and I do love swimming but going back and forth in a swimming pool is boring, and it takes so much longer to swim that magical mile (used to be able to do it in around 50 mins).
I do agree with your OH - weddings are a licence to print money!! It's really not fair is it! I'm gutted for you that you can't have your cheese and crackers. :(

Jem - ooo you have to share us a piccie of your dress (even if you PM us the details in case there are eyes watching!) Have you done your invites yet? Piccies (lol incase you haven't noticed we love a good piccie on this thread!)

Right I REALLY must get some lunch sorted!!

My MOH and best friend is doing them as a wedding present. She's a teacher like most you guys by the looks of things so has been busy making mock ups of them! Not quite finished so she's going to show us a few different ones in a few weeks
