I found that website - lol read the passage again and still welled up!! Although it suggests being read before the exchanging of the rings that really isn't an option in the civil ceremony - and the reading place before the vows wouldn't really suit it. I think it'd be a lovely reading for after the rings are exchanged and while we are still holding each others hands and gazing into each others eyes. I really do love that passage so thank you Emma, really hoping MrD likes it (or accepts it ha!). Oh who to get to read it!

I think it would be nice after the rings have been exchanged- like you say when your still holding hands. Does MrD get much of a say???:D

Of course he does.... as long as he says "yes" :rotfl:.
I was thinking if I can persuade him to let us have some personalised readings from our family then I would be happy with the standard vows rather than making our own... lol I may use that as leverage as I'm sure he would hate the pressure of writing his own vows.
But thanks Emma - you've given me something weddingy to do in my last few days off - google wedding readings - lol I will collect a few to present to him later lol.

Just had a thought if we ask one of my brothers to do a reading I suppose I should give him a buttonhole to wear - lol which would then mean giving one to my other brother - as he'd be the only male without one!! I will have to buy two more white gerberas!
