They are fab Laura! I really do like the way they are all the same style :) Love the hearts - was that something off vistaprint or something you designed?
I think it's a good idea writing "evening invitation" on them as well - that makes it clear that they aren't invited to the actual ceremony :) So often you hear on here about confusion over the wording :)
You must be so chuffed with them!
  • Why cant I see your invites??? Has the link gone?

Oh ive just seen some bits on your facebook. They are looking fab.
  • Ooh lovely design Laura.

Question for you all - what is a reasonable RSVP date? I don't want to be chasing people.

I plan on sending ours out during February half term (late Feb), I'm asking for RSVPs by May 2012 - 2 months before the date of the ceremony. But they are a formality cause most people have already said they are coming. :)
  • I reckon I will send mine out March and will ask for rsvps by May, Ill probably give people 8 weeks max to reply. We are making our invites in October, I am debating sending 2 out then to our family abroad, Ill have a chat with oh.

Is everyone having a good bank holiday?

  • Mel- the ring looks perfect with your engagement ring- it look like it was made for it, I think you made the right choice.

Morning LauraR - lol glad we could be of assistance getting you caught up :rotfl:.

Along with writing our own vows I'm also wondering whether to ask someone to do some readings for us - I've gone from wanting the ceremony to be over asap - just get it done - to wanting to make it last and be as personal as I can make it. Argh! I knew we should have gotten married this year :rotfl: then I wouldn't have changed my mind about so much ha!

Have you thought much more about it? What would MrD prefer? I'm firmly in the 'short and sweet' camp but that's probably because we don't really have much choice but to go through the pomp of the church service! It might be nice to have someone do a reading or something expecially if you have any special people who you want to be a bit more involved (your un-bridesmaid maybe?)

Laura, I think your stationary looks really nice, the hearts don't look to over the top like you said they might (was that you?) I think they look just right.

Glad you like the rings together; I think I liked that fact that although it's shaped it's not too close fitting - there are gaps in the engagement ring due to the style and and the curve kinda matches that by leaving some space but not as much as a straight band did. It looks ok on it's own too if I needed to wear it on it's own as well.

I'm going to send our invites out around feb/march time too - going to start writing some of them soon to reduce the amount of arm ache! RSVP by May so we can finalise numbers for the meal.

I go back to work tomorrow :(

    xx

I've just been browsing the threads and seen one with a lady who has posted a couple of pictures of her dress.. in the thread she asks how to get the creases to drop out of the petticoat.
I didn't dare ask on there because I don't really 'know' her and didn't want to look like I was taking the mick... but why do you need the creases to drop out of the petticoat - isn't that the bit you wear underneath? :o You couldn't tell on the photos that it was creased, it looked lovely!
