Ah bless him! I bet it's really nice for him to have a little hidey hole tree to sit under! One of the first things I'm going to get when we finally get our own place is a pet - we'll be sitting there on the floor and the only furniture will be a cat basket and bowl lol.

Haha Christmas day is the best bit for me because I like that fact that it's acceptable to start drinking at 8am! And all the food prep and the cooking smells :D It does go fast though and I def think the wedding day will be the same - I have a feeling there will be so much "right what time is it, ok now we have to do this, now it's time for that" and dashing round to speak to everyone that it will be over before you know it!

Thats the tricky thing with us is being able to see both families at Chrimbo. We live closest to my parents, only about half an hour away. But his parents are separated and his Dad lives 2 hours away and his mum lives 4 hours away, so it's hard to get round everyone in one day, so we have to find out everybodies days off and then plan a round trip with military precision! Like this year we went up to his dads, stayed the night there, then drove to his mums from there, stayed over again, then came back xmas eve and stayed at my parents after.. such a faff :p

Haha I bet it is still set up you know! Unless they take it down every year and rearrange it. It would be a good selling point if they had pretend elves working on toymaking in the off season so people could still go and see them! Like in Santa Claus the movie!

That is exactly what I said - the elves would be busy in their workshops making next years toys and beginning to write lists!! MrD said how depressing that would be - pretending to make toys all year round. Lol I said no it's be fab - the magic of Christmas all year round!! :D

I wouldn't be without Sausage (Bunny). He is the best thing MrD has ever brought home. He used to be MrD's apprentices but he was kept in a flat so didn't have much running space. From all accounts he was very bored and would tear about at night (in his little cage) and do his apprentices head in while he was trying to sleep. MrD 'rescued' him and brought him home. It was just when I was changing teams at work and felt really wobbly - my first day back at school was horrid not knowing which team I should sit with (I'm a grown woman !!!!!! I shouldn't have 'schoolgirl' worries like that), and it was just lovely - he came home, told me to close my eyes and hold my hands out. The next thing I knew there were these little claws in my hands - he was so tiny!! :D Absolutely love him! :D We had always planned on having a house rabbit but we were going to get the house done first and get him a little area set up, but in hindsight I'm so glad we didn't wait - else we'd still be pet free. We went out and bought him a double cage - it is massive lol but doesn't get used any more. Sausage lives in the lounge now. As far as we know he hasn't been in his cage for 4 months now! He's going through a massive molt at the moment bless him. Must be so uncomfortable for him, but the little sod doesn't like being brushed (we've tried three different style of brushes), instead he lets us stroke and pull loose hair out. He's two years old now :)

"Santa Claus spends his time at the Santa Claus Village every day of the year to take care of his mission in life; to enhance the wellbeing of children and the kindness of grown-ups, as well as spreading the message love and goodwill of Christmas Spirit throughout the globe"
    Hurrah!
  • i thought you had moved threads when i logged on last night - not a peep from anyone all day!!

Well i took H2B wedding ring shopping. First ring he pointed at was only £60 so inside i was going kerching - then he went 'oooohhh' i really like that one. It was £395. So he has photographed them and he's going to spend a little time thinking about the right one.

Pleased to hear Mel that you got THE ring. Having been married before i would of put my comment in as buy the one you love as you will be wearing it for the rest of your life. Well thats the theory! haha. . . . i got the one i could afford at the time back in 1990 and i never really liked it and i never looked at it with dreamy eyes. This time round i have chosen the one i genuinely loved and can not wait to wear it and I know i will love it forever. (it is my dream ring) If it means i have to cut back on something else then I will because my ring is forever and the wedding is only one day.

have started making my button bouquet today. Soooo pleased with it so far. They look fab. I have photographed it and managed to download a pic on FB but i can't get the damn pic from my iphone onto my laptop so i can show them on here :( my need technical help!! When i sort it i'll give it a go!

Happy Bank Holiday brides, last one til Xmas  . . . . I'm Team Natalie on this one. LOVE Xmas

Is it because he's getting his winter coat? At least he does let you pull the fur out for him.

My friend at work has a house rabbit (called Twinkle :rotfl: she let her 3yr old grandadughter name her!) that her husband rescued from a house he was working at. Its one of those big giant rabbits, but it was being kept in a gerbil cage :mad::mad: one of the ones with a tank at the bottom and cage at the top. So the poor thing was stuck in there and could hardly get any fresh air, sitting on top of her foodbowl and having to climb up to reach the water bowl. He asked the owner what was going on and the owner said apparently they'd bought it as a baby not realising it would grow so big, but then when it did they just left it in there? So my friends husband said he'd take it off his hands and gave him £50 and took the poor thing home.

She's a lovely pet now, but she chews things alot they reckon it's from being so stressed.

People like that make me so mad :mad::mad:

Oh it is open all year then haha!!

Lol Melanie I'd delete the photo of the dear one haha! My oh is well chuffed now because he will still be using the tesco vouchers for his so he can spend up to £300 on his, instead of having to share with me!

So rubbish having no more bank holidays now - I think they should move one from May time to sometime in October to break up this last bit!

Awww poor Twinkle - it does make us sad when we hear stories like that - luckily they either already have happy endings or are too far away from us - other wise our house would be overrun by rabbits lol. Little Bun is really happy - lol god knows why lol - he hasn't chewed anything for a very long time. The only cables he really likes are telephone wires or the soft squishy laptop style cables. He actually lies along a fat 4 way adapter cable quite happily near his corner of the lounge lol. His favourite toy are yellow pages/paper - he will sit/lay/flop out to his hearts content on them - as I type he's sprawled out on it - but he also likes scratting it and nibbling them. He is a big fan of hawthorne - so I'm slowly trimming our back hedge lol one twig at a time :rotfl:. He also loves basil and parsley - his nanna (MrD's mum) buys him near-their-sell-by-date parsley pots from Coop lol. He used to try to hide behind the TV but he'd nibble the wires to try to get comfy - so we had to block access (we've got a scraggy old wooden framed TV stand - so we got some sheets of wood and created a back and sides for it). He really is such a star :D lol. There is no other pet that makes me go 'awwwww he's so cute' every day - I don't think a dog would do that for me, and I'm not really a cat person. Bun is like a cross between the two in his personality. He can be aloof - he knows his name, and knows when he's doing something we don't want him to, but he doesn't come to us unless he wants something lol. He'll come and nudge our legs if he wants a snuggle lol. :) (We did get him castrated though - that has helped him calm down - before that he would try to hump our legs/arms all the time - can see why they say at it like rabbits! It also helped with his territorial pooing.)

Disappointed while the village is open all year round - the 'park' isn't.

    SUMMER SEASON:
Open dates: 18th of June 2011 till 13th of August 2011.
Opening hours: TUE-SAT 10 AM - 6 PM (all times are local times)
    Closed: On Sundays and Mondays

    WINTER SEASON:
Open dates: 26th of November 2011 till 14th of January 2012.
Opening hours: EVERY DAY 10 AM - 6 PM (all times are local times)

I wouldn't want to go during the summer - there'd be no snow. (MrD drove past there on his last snowmobiling trip to Finland - his annual outing).
