  • LauraL- thats a bit naughty about your bridesmaid- is she on facebook a lot? if so then it really is naughty as she would have seen it on her homepage, if she isnt then it is still naughty- see what she says when you see her next. I have pmed you my shoes.

Oh now youve mentioned perfume Im sure the spam from this morning will pop up again!!:rotfl:Glad your mac consulation went well.

Well ive had a lovely girlie day with my mum and 2 of my sisters. Got one wedding related thing- a Jon Richards necklace and matching earrings for my little sister, I did have a set for her already but this one is nicer, it was a bargain aswell- Reduced from £28 to £8.40. I cant find it online anymore, I had seen it before but it looked really chunky but it isnt and is perfect for her age.:D. Got myself a few non wedding related treats aswell- all bargains obviously!!

Natalie :rotfl:i am the worse Bridesmaid ever! I'm sure im sister would laugh or 'like' your comment!
Glad you got on ok with the make-up. I really don't want much make-up/natural look because i very rarely wear make-up so i don't want to look too different on the day.

Emma thanks, she doesn't go on FB alot only occassionally but she did post a status twice on my birthday. Well she came round today and even saw all the birthday cards and didnt say anything! I am just being pathetic about it all?!!
LOVE the shoes, love the colour as well. I want!!
  • LauraL- That really is pants that she didnt say anything, or give you a card or anything. Glad you like my shoes, I got them before I got the bridesmaid dresses which are a dark pink, so they dont really match, so its kinda shades of pink now!!

I agree LauraL about the makeup- I want good foundation but im not into blusher etc. When I go out I do like my eyeliner, mascara and eyeshadow, but im not sure alot of eyeliner would be right, but I do want some as I like the way they make my eyes look! I couldnt wear loads of make up all the time 1) Im too lazy and 2) I only wear foundation to work as I like to feel I look different (and better:rotfl:) when I go out!!
  • I just realised I was on my phone when I read Mels message with the ring links- I reckon if it looks and fab and you like it then you should go for it.

See when I wear my foundation I look like a ghost lol - so the blusher just makes me look alive - I certainly don't go down the "Aunt Sally" rosy cheek look lol. My stock make up for work is usually just some mascara on my top eye lashes and a bit of foundation to help cover the spots. I certainly won't start doing a full face each morning - cause I'm a lazy moo and I can't be arsed lol.

Emma - that is a shame you can't find a link for the jewellery on the internet - you will have to take a photo of it and share it with us :D

Was really disappointed in my shoe hunt today - I really want to try on a pair of Miss KG's darcy shoes - but nowhere had them! And Nottingham's Kurt Geiger doesn't stock Miss KG which I think it crazy as they are the high street end of KG shoes!! Anyway while we were wandering around we ended up in... john lewis I think it was... and I looked at their Rainbow Club shoes - but they only had RC ones - didn't have any Else in so I couldn't see the chianti ones.

LauraL - I would be sulking too - Birthday's are very special (mine is to me anyway - I act like I'm still 5 years old!) I would have been gutted if my bridesmaid didn't even wish me happy birthday!! But what to do about it... I can't think of anything other than just biting your tongue and carrying on regardless :(
  • Taking H2B to look at wedding rings for him at his fave jeweller today- John Greed Design in Lincoln. Thankfully his taste isn't quite as expensive as mine! Although my rings have cost him a small fortune maybe he'll be after getting his own back!!!

Cor it's gone quiet in here!

How did wedding ring shopping/looking go yesterday Melanie? Did you manage to find him a ring he likes? MrD still hasn't decided if he wants one. Lol my money is on making a decision the weekend before the wedding :rotfl:

Well I'm ready to go back to school. I've done all the weddingy things I had pencilled in to do this holiday. Other than housework I have nothing left to do round the house. I'd much rather be at work than at home doing housework!

I had a play with my make up yesterday - I toned the eyes down (ie I didn't put any eye liner on and didn't do the smokeyness quiet as dark) and I think it looked good. And with the magic 'paint pot' my eye shadow actually stayed on - lol it's such a revelation it's brilliant. I also had a play with my hair and kept it up for the rest of the night and I think it's going to work :) I want to have another play with my make up and see if I can tone it down even more. I will get the paler lipstick they used at Mac as well - but yesterday I went and ordered the blusher, a brush, and the Miss KG Darcy shoes. So the lipstick will have to wait till next pay day lol (oh that's Tuesday :rotfl:). I'm really pleased I bought the JPG perfume as well - and didn't wait till going to Tenerife to get it duty free - cause I wore it yesterday and I just love it!! :D

Things left to do this week:
    * Cut the front hedge - we had a letter from the council saying they have employed someone to do some work on the pavements but apparently our front hedge is overhanging (it might be like the odd branch!).
    * Usual housework - sort out bedroom, bathroom, wash clothes.
    * If I can be bothered write an application form asking for payment for a course I would like to go on with work.

Bit disappointed that the TA at work never phoned me back after we'd been to Disneyland Paris to arrange time to collect her fridge and freezer. Hopefully it'll still be available when I get back to work.

I have now heard from both sets of parents - they are all coming to our BBQ on the 17th September. Eek! :rotfl:.

Diet - crap - lol. I've been eating rubbish again. :rotfl: - I think I can pretty much write the rest of this holiday off and get back into it when I go back to school. That'll give me 7 weeks to get healthy and fit again for diving. As long as I can fit into a size 10 wetsuit I think I'll be happy enough :) (Lol I hope i can fit into my work clothes lol).

Hope everyone else is well and enjoying this Bank Holiday weekend. (MrD was working yesterday, and today he's going to watch the British Superbikes at Cadwell - yawn).

Oh bless you Laura!! It is horrible isn't it - the missing them thing. I'm fine with MrD going away - but it's the missing him thing that annoys me!! :) I'm sure he will hug and kiss you lots tomorrow when he gets back to make up for it... lol as long as you don't go passing on any germies!! :)

Really hope you feel better in all sense soon :)
When I'm in an emotional state I always put on a right cheesy chick flick - it gives me an excuse to have a good ol bawl! :) Sometimes a good cry is just what the doctor ordered.
