When we go to Mac tomorrow I want to find out: a) How I can stop my eye shadow from 'melting' - I have 'hooded' eye lids thanks to my mum, and the crease makes it really hard for eye shadow. I have Mac's eye primer but that doesn't seem to do much so don't know if it's how I'm applying it/not putting on enough. b) If there is anything I can get to 'set' my foundation - it is the perfect colour and it goes on so easily but it is ruboffable. I also want to find the right eye shadow colour, concealer, and blusher. I am looking forward to it
Oh that should be good, I've been planning to get a MAC appointment but have been putting it off hoping for at least one of my spot treatments to sort it out. (it hasn't).
I went to the doctors and he basically just dismissed it as being 'because I'm young' and prescribed me this peroxide stuff which did nothing to get rid of the spots, but did totally dry my skin out so instead of just having spots on normal skin, I had spots on dry red flaky skin instead. I tried it for two weeks then gave up because I can't go to work looking like that.
Do you use a primer under your foundation and a powder over it? Witch do a really good primer (came across it in my magpie like attraction for anything that says 'anti blemish' on it :rotfl:) but it makes your foundation last really well. And the Rimmel invisible pressed powder is great for over the top, but you have to let the foundation dry down a bit first so it doesn't go cakey.
Nice that the future MIL liked all your stuff! Please will someone get excited with me? My shoes are here and my board dont care! They're v pretty, AND not at all MSE but, are Jimmy Choos and are furry AND are leopard print! EEEEEEEK!

With a massive budget I think I would have done:- a free bar (because everyone would think you were awesome then!) Laid on transport from the church to the reception and paid for hotel rooms for everyone.
- Invested in better quality jewellery/rings (because that's the bit that will last)
Talking of buying more expensive wedding rings though, I was planning to get both of ours from goldsmiths using the tesco vouchers. BUT:o:o:o we popped into H Samuel the other day to get OH's finger size, and got chatting to the assistant who was showing us a load of different things, and she asked me what sort of ring I was going to have. So I was like, oh just a thin gold band really. So she looked at my ring and said - I think this one would look nice with that... and OMG it did look really good, but it's £179 that we don't really need to spend! So now I am dilemma-ing, OH says I should just get it but then he always says that whether I'm craving jewellery, shoes or pizza. I dunno haha!

lol @ free bar- have you not read the thread! :rotfl:
It sounds really cliched but i'm struggling to think of what i'd spend the extra £9k on... I pretty much have everything planned for my 'dream' wedding. I've even got the wow dress, and the photographer!! Two things i didn't plan on having when we first started this planning journey!! Perhaps i'd pay for a caterer to do proper nice grub and someone to serve the alcohol. Oh i would spend a mini fortune on a cake - i would love one of these wow chocolate coated drooly cakes. But obviously noone would be allowed to eat it.
omg yes cake!!!Ths signature is out of date because I'm too lazy to update it...0 -
Emma I forgot to say - I LOVE the way we're all (?) wearing non-traditional shoes!!
Mel- don't take your doctors word as the final say - I would say go back and see a different doctor at your surgery. There is one doctor at my surgery who is really sympathetic when it comes to spots. She is the one that I request whenever I want some antibiotics. At the moment I'm taking doxycycline. It doesn't stop my spots from appearing but it lessens their red angry inflammation and reduces their healing time loads! (I've only been taking them for what 3 weeks and I can already tell a difference).
Being super tight I don't wear a foundation primer/sealer - just my usual moisturizerAm looking forward to tomorrow. Will see what they have to say for themselves - I will get a list of everything they recommend and then next time debenhams has a sale I'll buy them lol.
In my opinion Mel - I would get *The* ring - like you said its the thing that is going to last the longest. I think it's worth spending that little bit more on - it's not like your tesco vouchers will go to waste - you will find something else to spend them on I'm sure!!0 -
Lol awww they've just got to the ceremony, vows and first kiss (on Dont Tell The Bride)... I'm so glad that we bit the bullet and have a photographer organised - I cant wait to have a photo of our first kiss as man and wife!!
It is 326 days, 23 hours, 9 minutes, 14 seconds until Tuesday, 17 July 2012, 14:00.

How much is everyone spending on wedding in total, minus the mooning time?Married the lovely Mr P 28th April 2012. Little P born 29th Jan 20140 -
Lol Jemb! Emma asked us to not quote her so later when she removes the link from her post noone can see them should there be any roaming eyes (like her groom to be!) You might like to edit your post and remove the link at least
When we first started planning we were hoping to get everything including the hen and stag dos in for £2500. But as we've gone along things have been tweeked slightly - like I've gone with a proper wow wedding dress (which my mum has paid £705 towards), and we've just sorted a photographer out which we hadn't originally wanted. Total cost is looking at around £3500 including the full cost of my dress.0 -
jemB- when your next on could you just delete the link? Thanks.:)
I need to catch up on dttb I think. Oh Laura- glad your feeling better about your venue. Is this the one that is quite close in date to your wedding and you were feeling a bit down about at first?
I dont know what I would change, I guess it would be little things like an extra car for the bridesmaids, Jimmy choo shoes, a bouncy castle, a cool indie band- little touches, although Im happy with everything I have planned.:D0 -
