I know - I am a tinker aren't I?! The problem I think I've got is EVERYTHING I have is red. To match my hair - I'm thinking of returning back to brown so I can wear all sorts of colours without it clashing with my hair. I was thinking about shoes to wear with my grey phase 8 dress - and hot pink came to mind but then I thought it'd clash with my hair. But if I had sensible brown hair I could wear garish coloured shoes and not worry about it :) Will see how I feel come October when all my red has faded out after being in the sea while we dive.

Oh I would still wear pink shoes- but then i love pink!! I have lots count of how many people have asked if I will dye hair back brown for the wedding and I said no, if it is still red it will be staying red, I really dont think it would look awful with my colour scheme- but then its only really red in some lights so I reckon ill be ok!!

Tiny little vent here, non wedding related - I painted my nails at 8.30 PM - just washed and dried my hands and the F******* have only gone and smudged!!!

    AAAARRRRRGGGGHHHHH

I hate slow drying nail varnish!

Natalie, how about 'hot purple' shoes with the dress if you have red hair? Less clashy perhaps? Although I don't think pink would look too bad unless you were planning to wear the shoes on your head.

I know what you mean about your hair Emma, I'm growing mine for the same reason, so I have more options - but I am actually hating it this length! Can't wait to chop it all off to my old chin length!

My hair is red red lol the photos I've sent you make it look ginger - but it's not it's red. On the bottle it is called 'corvette red'.

Well MrD says 'red is nice' which I've taken to mean he likes my hair red but doesn't dare tell me incase I prefer it brown :rotfl:.
  • OMG!!! Just got my first quote through for the wedding cake we like - £500!!! For a flipping cake!?!? I'm stunned it's so much - I thought we'd gone for a reasonably simple design!

Sorry for the outburst - I'm off now to catch up on the thread! :D Hope you're all having a nice night!

Lol you mean you don't wear shoes on your head?!

Ooo that is a pain in the bum (your nail varnish Mel). How come the moment you paint your nails you either get an itch or you need a wee when you're wearing a pair of jeans!!

My advice would be - if you are growing your hair for your wedding make sure you still look like you :) A friend of mine has always had chin length hair - it really suits her and looks fab. For her wedding she grew it to just below shoulder. She then got it all chopped off afterwards. I can honestly say she looked strange in her photos - not like her at all. I think this is why I will probably wear my hair down. Cause it's more me - plus it's like my mane - I feel all naked and vulnerable without it!

Gulp!! £500!! It had better be an amazing cake!! :)
  • Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!

Who would have thought writing a guest list would be so difficult!! Im limited to 45 for the registry office and my ideal list comes to 47! What to do!!

    Rant over!!:rotfl:

Pinkprincess - writing a guest list is an absolute nightmare! We've cut ours down to the bare bones and are still 18 people over, largely due to my mums insistance that we HAVE to invite loads of random cousins who I don't even know (massive family, and as I was a bit of an "after-thought" they're all much older than me!) and all of her immediate neighbours!

Did you come up with a solution? I've read you should expect 20% not to show up, but it's a big risk to take!

Wow! That's expensive! In one of the bridal shops we went to the other day they had a cake catalogue with prices in, I was amazed! And one of them was this really tall, thin thing covered in sludgy snot green icing - seriously it looked like something out of ghostbusters - and that was £550!!! Someone got seriously ripped off - it looked like someone had sneezed on it!

I know, sods law isn't it. I've just gone and put a matte top coat on so the towel imprint isn't so obvious :p

With the hair thing, even when I had it long the fringe and front bit is still the same lol - I know what suits me and I'm sticking to it! :rotfl: I'm thinking of having half up and half down, if I have it all down I know I will get too hot and end up shoving it up and a bobble, but then I do want something coming down over my shoulders so I don't just look like a big chin haha. Probably with a clip or something in to make it look a bit posher:D
